Halifax refugee bullying: Why the Media Party double standard?

Faith GoldyRebel Host

Tonight, I tell you how the mainstream media have become a story unto themselves following allegations of abuse by refugee students out of Halifax, Nova Scotia.

If, instead of ordinary Canadian kids, the children being choked and slapped were members of the LGBT community, or refugees themselves, would they then flock to the schoolhouse? Is a double standard being applied inside and outside Chebuto Heights walls?

Then, I sit down with the CSSA's Executive Director Tony Bernardo to discuss the latest gun grabbing gimmick out of Canada's Parliament: is S-223 a red herring or a stalking horse?

Plus, we've got your week's top headlines and "Quote of Honour."

I was hoping that more parents would come forward but am not surprised that none have …yet. Its early days and parents don’t want their kids to be ostracised, if they come forward with their stories. Until things escalate I don’t expect they will come forward. As Faith points out, if the tables were turned and a Muslim kid were being beaten and threatened, every media outlet in Canada would be screaming it from the roof tops. Shameful silence from the MSM. Pathetic logic, their thinking that they are taking the correct path by ignoring it.

TYT have 10,000 paying subscribers as well as funding coming from various sources, largely left leaning. Unlike the Young Turks, The Rebel hasn’t been bought by a Soros type and I wouldn’t want them to. Nothing wrong with the Rebel business model. It seems to be working. I can’t see how 8 bucks a month should be such a big problem.

MP, fyi The Young Turks business model. 10,000 subscribers.

From wiki : "As of August 2013, TYT had approximately 4,000 paying subscribers online.15 That number had reportedly increased to more than 10,000 by the spring of 2016.24 The website’s yearly revenue was roughly US$3 million in 2013. According to Cenk Uygur, “about a third of the revenue comes from subscriptions, and the rest comes from YouTube ads.” The company has 30 employees.15 In 2014 the company received a US$4 million investment from Roemer, Robinson, Melville & Co., LLC, a private equity firm led by former Louisiana Governor Buddy Roemer.25"

There is also a Soros connection.
“In fact, Soros funds nearly every major left-wing media source in the United States. Forty-five of those are financed through his support of the Media Consortium. That organization ‘is a network of the country’s leading, progressive, independent media outlets.’ The list is predictable – everything from Alternet to the Young Turks.” http://www.mrc.org/commentary/soros-funded-lefty-media-reach-more-300-million-every-month

I’m becoming unsure if I look what’s come from the Ontario PCs under Brown. I still have yet to see or hear a non-paraphrased version of what McClaren’s joke was as to decide for myself how offensive it apparently is … but to call it sensitivity training? At least sugar-coat it with something more professional-sounding and not so ‘oh, you need to learn how to be more considerate of others’ feelings’-sounding. Plus, the carbon tax is junk. As for the gun registry … gah! Another thing that, if implemented, I hope my family doesn’t dare cave in. I’d especially wonder how it’d affect our business.
Anyway, thanks for the great show and keep it up! :D

Keep on it Faith, we love you.
I recall that Trudeau’s election platform included his pledge to sign on to the UN Arms Treaty. Considering it is a UN scheme I am dubious. In the treaty, the UN “reporting requirements” call for State Parties to have a “national control system”, a “national control list” & “supplementary information regarding the national control list, such as more detailed definitions of weapons, or separate list for arms for recreational, cultural, historical and sporting purposes”. The UN’s, helpful “tip” from their “Treaty Implication Toolkit” suggests:
" Rather than treating record-keeping as a separate activity from reporting, States Parties should consider using the national records as a key source of information for the preparation of their annual reports. In other words, States Parties could ideally set up or adapt their record-keeping systems in a manner that feeds directly into the national reports."
I’m no legal expert but this UN Arms Treaty smells like some what to get a registry via the back door. I would be interested to hear what your learned guest thinks of the Treaty.

David Tremblay,

Another québécois multicultural apologist.
Ready to apologize and not face reality of the present threat but ever ready to ostracize and denigrate Anglos.
Montcalm lost to Wolf, get over it already. Yes, stand up for your culture but stand up for Canada first.
The refugees are going to obliterate all western cultures INCLUDING québécois.

Yes there must be a liberal conspiracy to cover up the actions of these terrorist children….however in the real world you are more likely to be killed by a neo-nazi or by your tv falling on you than to be killed by a muslim terrorist.

Actually, national media doesn’t usually report on shenanigans of 8-year old children in school. This is an issue for parents and teachers, not the police, and not the national news.

Young children have playground schoolfight! Read all about it! Now we know ALL refugees just hate us and are violent! Because … some kids from a war torn country had a fight on the playground.

I already did and others did so as well.

The mainstream media is a disgrace. They’re only interested in maintaining their sick twisted (political) narrative. When you’re in the news suppression business you’re not a journalist, you’re a propagandist.

The latest anti-gun scam is just a continuation of the Liberals war against law abiding Canadians.

To all you who are certain that theRebel is making a mistake with the paywall:

I am certain that theRebel would like to hear your suggestions for generating income while avoiding the paywall method. Email them to ezra@therebel.media

M P said, "Simple, do what “Young Turks” did to build a massive following, pump out content for free
and ask for support to keep it going and that takes Ezra and company willing to make sacrifices for a few more years to build that up..(ie, not blowing money on cruises) "

I mentioned this to you once before, but obviously you ignored it. You claim theRebel is spending massive amounts of money on this cruise, but that is not true. Each person is paying completely for their own fare. Did you actually think that theRebel is going to pay for everyone? lol

TheRebel has up to the point of introducing the paywall been offering “content for free
and ask for support to keep it going” and that is not enough.

So, M P, do you have any other suggestions than what they are already doing?

That is intentional, though I find it annoying, I just live with it.

I’m NOT a plant you dipshit. I’ve been following Sun News and the Rebel since it started. Why the hell do you think I paid for it. So I could get the truth because msm sure as hell won’t give it to me. You sound like a “plant” a dried up spruce tree plant.

I agree with those who see the pay wall as self defeating in spreading a much needed message. Someone in marketing has to ask Molineux how he did it – of course his messaging is absent of the slick corporate media trappings like background generation and such. OTOH he does no on location news.

Look, let’s stop avoiding discussing the obvious – the MSM is now a fully coopted wing of the cultural engineering ruling class. They are not carrying the people’s interests, they protect and propagate the authoritarian, oligarchic, single party state’s interests.

The media cover-up of the damage from these open borders mass migrant influx agendas is part of the false narrative the socialist cultural engineers spin to cover their real agenda. That being; the deconstruction of pluralist liberal democracy through the dilution of indigenous western democratic populations with belligerent, needy, regressed cultures which will not assimilate and are incompatible with liberal democratic civil pluralism.

These migrants will eternally vote for the welfare state and for accommodating leftist governments which will subjugate their ideological/theological enemies and feed their cultural supremacy ideal. When the influx of anti-liberal, anti-western needy migrants reaches 10%-15% of the electorate this assures a left wing single party state in perpetuity. Authoritarian collectivism on the global model Trotski envisioned. This is the goal of leftist globalists and we have stupidly elected them with much help from their media partners.

THIS, and nothing else, is the reason for Leftist immigration policy and it is the chore of their coopted media bootlicks to sell this as humanitarianism, to deflect opposition as criminal racism and to cover over the social/civil fallout of the cultural deconstruction period.

It was done in Europe and it is being done in America and is being done here. Indigenous/old stock Canadians better damn well come out of their media-induced coma about what is really happening before they find themselves as second class citizens in their own country.

The largest and best paid government agency is the is the “Ministry of Propaganda” which tries to pose as an independent entity when the Liberals are out of power , but easily melds in when the Liberals are the Government.
Personally I think the worst enemy of the common Canadian is Peter Mansbridge. He is the face of the big propagando machine and perhaps should replace the miscreant Wynne on the Toronto billboard.
Liars, cheats , thieves , all paid by the taxpayer , thank you very much.

True, a paywall limits the number of people who can see the stories being posted and, it is understandable that the staff at the Rebel need to get paid as well.
However, the powers that be at the Rebel should take a page from Facebook and find advertisers.
For example, right now we are debating new gun laws in this country but do we see any adverts on the right sidebars from Smith & Wesson or Remington?
Ditch all the “need to know” and “popular stories” links that clutter the right side bar and replace it with paid advertisements. Get rid of Trudeau’s picture in the banner!
There is an ever expanding number of viewers in the US as well as in the UK.
The sales people at the Rebel need to contact them and sell some advertising time to them as well. We can’t rely entirely on Canadian corporate sponsorship since there are very few corporations left in this country as a result of Liberalism.
Also, any Canadian corporations might be a wee bit shy of advertising on the Rebel given that these corporations may well be targeted by governmental reprisals for advertising on the Rebel.
If the intent of the Rebel is to raise muck, then it must broaden its readership.
The Rebel should also the number of readers/members it has in an effort to attract more advertising revenue.
It cannot remain viable by levying a monthly membership fee and must secure funding from other sources. It might even get some funding from the Canadian government.

Reporting on “refugee” violence goes against the Media narrative that the “Religion Of Peace” is not violent…………..!

Well said Peter. I donated countless times for SunNews and Rebel causes and needs, but I absolutely refuse to pay a monthly fee when there is so much free content out there. Ezra’s gotta figure out another way…………….

@peter Netterville

Simple, do what “Young Turks” did to build a massive following, pump out content for free
and ask for support to keep it going and that takes Ezra and company willing to make sacrifices for a few more years to build that up..(ie, not blowing money on cruises)

In 5 short years they have 8 million subscribers on several slickly produced channels that target different audiences when they need money they ask and get tens of thousands in donations.

Find more people like Lauren who are young and understand how to reach out to the younger generation because that’s who matters at the end of the day. The future of the west belong to them
and it is them who are going to deal with threats like Islam.

Paywall content is not reaching the audience who needs to see it, they are just preaching to the choir and I’m willing to bet my front teeth a vast majority of Premium members are older people in their 40’s
and up who just sit behind that walled garden bitching how bad things are getting but can’t figure out
why it’s not changing.

Like it or not, Millennials have grown up in a world with sites like Youtube and it’s free
the people who are making a living getting their message out on there did so
understanding the youth culture and putting their noses to the grind stone building an audience
who are willing to throw them a few bucks to keep it open.

PJTV does it
Alfonso Rachel does it.
Stefan Molyneux does it
The Rubin Report does it. (Even gets himself on the Young turks)
Pamella Geller does it
Colin Flaherty does it.

There are hundreds of examples of people who with hard work and a willingness to sacrifice
are getting their message out without paywalls.

The left is winning because they get their message out and understand how to influence the culture.

Lauren was bringing in millions of views on the Rebel Youtube channel and now she’s hidden behind a paywall……… say bye bye to any chance of videos going viral as they did with her.

oh and Canada doesn’t consist of only Alberta and Ontario…. like or not drumming on and on and on about Alberta and oil ain’t going to build an audience of young people.

They are constantly insulting the Canadian people and because they figure they can put all guns into a storage locker (great target for thieves!!) that they can just shit on our heads! TruDope – that is gonna be the biggest mistake you ever made – as a large % of Canadians are fed up enough to disregard all your bullshit laws – then what are you going to do – send those Jihadists after us?! Think again!
