Trudeau’s disastrous first federal budget came out this week and Alberta families were hoping for a little employment insurance reprieve. It came for some. But not for all.
In that budget the Trudeau liberals extended employment insurance benefits in 12 regions in Western and Northern Canada as well as Newfoundland and Labrador. These are regions hard hit by the economic downturn.
But Edmonton was left off that list and it’s Rachel Notley’s fault.
Edmonton families won’t see the same relief as the families living through the same circumstances in Calgary. They can thank Rachel Notley for that.
