Hey, all you male "defenders" of free speech...

Laura Rosen CohenRebel Blogger

(WARNING: MATURE LANGUAGE) Is it blasphemous to say Jesus F*****g Christ I'm getting pretty sick of seeing all your castrati articles about free speech qualified with "while I don't like Pamela Geller"?

(See, Christians won't kill anyone for that...just sayin'.)

Anyway, what I would like to tell you all is that you're all a bunch of exquisitely fragile, over-cautious weenies and she has more stones than the whole lot of you.

"I really don't like Pam Geller BUT..."

Oh look, a spirited defense (SNORE) of free speech with added "I don't like Pamela Geller BUT" from "Ace of Spades", who remains anonymous!

How brave!

Piers Morgan: My word, that Pamela is disgusting and vile BUT she gets free speech.

Brad Thor got it right. There is no "oooh Pamela Geller is so icky" bit in here. But he is in the minority.

Ben Shapiro got it right.

Megan Kelly got it right as did Eugene Volokh.

And of course, the great prophet Mark Steyn, PBUH, got it right.

(Insert obligatory Steyn Akbar, ULULULULULU,

For the most part, the anti-Geller commentary ranges from wrong to vile to bonkers, see "worse than ISIS" here.

But notice that most of the male commentary has been along the lines of 'oh of course I am for free speech but that woman is (whatever whatever whatever blah blah blah).

I think all these men are just plain jealous that she has more courage than them.

They all want to make sure that they keep get invited to RINO cocktail parties.

This must be a very humiliating episode for them.

A ballsy Jewish broad from New York is taking on the blasphemy and free speech project all by herself, facing down evil, defending free speech on behalf of the gutless, on behalf of the semi-gutless and on behalf of the people who don't have a clue what this is really about, and on behalf of the people whose speech she disagrees with (which is the whole point).

Well we can't have that now, can we?

We must slap her down a little while we "defend" our rights.

A pox on all their eunuch houses.

No shit. All she did was provoke a response that demonstrated the hypocrisy about the true nature of Islam. (And expose the double standard about political correctness and “freedom of speech” at the same time.)

So why is the MEDIA the one coming down on Gellar, and you are making comments about men?

WTF was that? Most confusing article I’ve read in a long time. There are lots of people I don’t like but no way will I will try to stop them from saying their piece. From the article I have no idea if she thinks that’s a good thing or a bad thing. I must admit I “don’t have a clue what this is really about” and this article did nothing to clear it up.

I for one am with Pam 100% i always have been, she is a much needed voice in these days when the mainstream media cower to islamist extremist/terrorist,i admire her, i wish more like her would speak out.
She puts herself in great danger to “ring the bell” about what is going on and but for her daily updates along with Robert Spencer etc, we would not know whats going on.
It’s a sad day when Islamic terrorist try to kill her and they themselves get killed and the blame is put on Pam, it goes to show just how warped the mainstream media has become , bowing to Sharia Law
I hope she stays safe, i actually worry about her.

Laura Rosen Cohen gets it. Far too many men resent and feel threatened by a strong female voice. I applaud Geller’s courage and tenacity. I am repeatedly surprised and delighted by her wins in court and her persistence to advocate for the right to openly exercise free speech that shocks and offends some Americans and that makes others feel safer and less alone. A weaker person, faced with the widespread condemnation and threats levied at her may have backed down or resorted to lawlessness. But Pamela has consistently stuck to nonviolent, lawful use of words, reason and images. You go, Girl Pamela Geller!! The rest of us babes persistently condemned and denigrated by men who can’t stand strong, smart women are dancing to your the beat of your drum.

I like Pam, the thing that atytracted me to her interviews is she simply never backs down from her position in the face of a tsunami of politically correct invective. Keep on Keeping on Pam, the Gelded American male really needs you as a role model. ;-)

Hey, she’s making an excellent living from it, and I applaud her entrepreneurship.

Castrati is indeed the word; most men are petrified of strong women these days. Something wrong with conservatives who beat up on Pamela Geller, Sarah Palin, Ayelet Shaked, etc etc. Grow a pair, boys.
