Hillary tweets opposition to Keystone, shows Clinton campaign in desperation mode

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

Hillary Clinton came out against the Keystone XL Pipeline this week.

In her explanatory tweet, she referred to "North America's dirtiest fuel".

This is strange considering that her own State Department repeatedly approved the pipeline after extensive reviews.

And while it's true that oilsands oil takes more energy to produce than Saudi oil, it isn't "dirty" when it burns in your tank.

When it comes to production, viscous California oil and heavy Venezuelan oil which also comes from a regime that is hostile to the U.S., bring their own challenges so why wouldn't she prefer Ethical Oil?

But all this talk about how oil is produced is just a distraction since Clinton's never shown herself to be overly concerned with this issue before.

It's more likely that this is a sign of desperation since her main rival in the race for the Democratic nomination, Bernie Sanders, has moved from being a minor irritant to becoming a real threat. Add Joe Biden to the race and things aren't looking good for Clinton.

If she were to stay silent on Keystone XL, she'd lose votes and money from environmental groups and activists.

Either way, when trying to understand the Clintons, you'll notice it's always about what's best for them and not what's best for America.

Jimmy. Just cause her friends in the Justice Dept are trying to find creative ways to defend her, doesn’t mean she has the colour of right on her side. She doesn’t, and it’s such a huge issue, it’s deserving of the scandal. Unlike Duffy’s friend paying back a measly 90k that wasn’t improperly spent to begin with (but simply didn’t “look good”). And for a truth-hating truth-denying left wing socialist to sit there and talk “truth” is a little disingenuous to put it mildly, since you’re whole belief system is based on “relativism” (one man’s truth is another man’s lie etc etc).

She has no credibility, nobody trusts her, everyone knows she’s a crook. She is pretty skilled at keeping her butt out of jail though, she’s had enough practice! I swear it will catch up with her one day.

You are delusional. I mean understand you want Hillary Clinton to be in jail – but NOTHING is going to happen to her.

Not to mention this:

Reality has bitten Republicans in the backsides again as the Justice Department is saying that Hillary Clinton’s emails broke no laws.

Justice Department lawyers argued before a federal court that Hillary Clinton’s handling of her emails broke no laws.

The Washington Times reported:

In the most complete legal defense of Mrs. Clinton, Justice Department lawyers insisted they not only have no obligation, but no power, to go back and demand the former top diplomat turn over any documents she hasn’t already given — and neither, they said, can the court order that.

The defense came as part of a legal filing telling a judge why the administration shouldn’t be required to order Mrs. Clinton and her top aides to preserve all of their emails.

“There is no question that Secretary Clinton had authority to delete personal emails without agency supervision — she appropriately could have done so even if she were working on a government server,” the administration lawyers argued. “Under policies issued by both the National Archives and Records Administration (‘NARA’) and the State Department, individual officers and employees are permitted and expected to exercise judgment to determine what constitutes a federal record.”

Republicans like Donald Trump love to compare Hillary Clinton’s emails to the crimes that were committed by David Petraeus, but the difference is that Petraeus broke the law by giving classified materials to his mistress.

The Republican email scandal is falling apart. If Clinton didn’t break any laws, why are Republicans wasting time and millions of taxpayer dollars investigating her emails? There is a reason Republicans would not allow Clinton’s aides to testify in public. Information is the enemy of the GOP’s bogus email scandal. The more information that is available to the public, the sooner the email scandal will fade away.

The email scandal is a media fueled time killer that only serves to distract attention from the real issues. Republicans don’t want to talk about their positions on the issues. They would rather try to distract the electorate with meaningless scandals.

Republicans can’t hide from the truth. There is nothing to the Hillary Clinton email scandal

The article’s final line says it all.

Hillary is in big trouble because (a) she did things she shouldn’t have done with her government emails, i.e. keeping them on a private server that a flea could hack; (b) Obama doesn’t like her or her husband Bill and wants her taken down; and © the FBI is investigating her improprieties with her email server and is reported to have now recovered some or all of the emails she deleted from her private server. How much ya wanna bet there were some very sensitive emails on that server? Emails that every government in the world with a hacking department now has? Like Russia, China, Iran, etc. So Hil is keeping up the best front she can for the time being, but remember that song by Simon and Garfunkel, about how Mrs. Robinson goes to the candidates’ debate etc. as if nothing is wrong, when she knows full well that the ceiling is about to cave in? Hil has to keep pretending it will all be okay, but I think she knows the ceiling is almost certainly about to cave in on her, in which case she still has to pretend everything is okay, because a lot of popular support for her might help to mitigate the extent to which the U.S. Justice department will prosecute her in the weeks and months ahead. Just sayin’…

Now I am wondering why Jean Corruptien goes to Russia often?

Thank-you Andy. Nice to get it straight from someone who has been there. I know that the CBC is not going to give me any truth. Hey, this just occurred to me. Any chance of Prince Abdul El Saudi Arabia or Vladimir Putin giving the CBC cash under the table.?

“Does anyone know what Russia’s environmental standards are to their oil and gas extraction?”
I worked there for almost a year 1993-4. They really had very poor standards compared to Alberta then. I am not sure if that has improved over time.

Does anyone know what Russia’s environmental standards are to their oil and gas extraction? I doubt it compares to Canada’s. Is it an answerable question?

Don’t be too overdramatic there Skippy, but where did I say that I was a fan of Hillary Clinton?
commented 2015-09-25 19:42:15 -0400
It also shows that there are no consequences for slapping Canada or Alberta around. Block our products from getting to market, hey, no problem. Foreign money pouring into the country to fund the eco terrorist outfits for hire, and the indian extortion terrorist’s, hey no problem.

Keith Barnes,
Obama will go down in history as the worst President ever. This Keystone stupidity is just a small blunder on his report card. His foreign policy has left the middle east ablaze and Iran with $150,000,000,000. Do you think Iran is going to use this money for benevolent uses. DUH. At home, thugs are put on pedestals and police are crucified. Obamacare is a direct tax on the middle class. So if anyone thinks Justin is going to help the middle class. I say to them "DUH ".
And in Canada, the left thinks America cannot consume any oil from the oil sands. DUH

Jimmy, Hillary Clinton is nasty piece of work….this from the White House staff who served her….she did not make a big fuss over Monika….because she got more head during that presidency and that marriage than Bill ever did.

The fact that you are a fan of Hitlery Clinton tells me all I need to know about you.

This goes beyond your abuse of gerbils……this is deep in the stew perversion Jimmy.

Nate Silver has stated that Trump only has a 5% chance of getting the nomination. If you know who Nate Silver is – you will know that he is pretty much never wrong.

Oh I would enjoy watching mr trump destroy Hillary in a debate. Left wing politicians like Hillary don’t know how to connect with the average joe.
commented 2015-09-25 13:04:44 -0400
Yes, Hillary is so desperate – considering that she STILL will most likely become President.
commented 2015-09-25 12:40:38 -0400
Good point in looking to Hillary and following the money. Clearly principles and doing what’s right, takes a back seat to money and getting votes for the left. We see the same here in Canada with Trudeau and Mulcair, pandering to groups that would seriously harm this nation, only so that they can glean their votes.
commented 2015-09-25 11:17:56 -0400
Like Trudeau is trying to out left Mulcair, Cankles is trying to out left the Bern. Smells like desperation.

She is being propped up and paid for by foreign money, she has to deliver. She should have been in jail years ago, it is quite remarkable that she still walks around.
The left think it a crime to develop our oil sands. It is a crime not to. Bunch of crooks!
I am confident a Republican will get in, and that this issue will be turned around, like so many others. Maybe they can even put Hilary where she belongs.
commented 2015-09-25 10:43:37 -0400
Just to avoid sending money to the middle east should be reason enough to approve the Keystone XL. Could America not see this. Money flow to the middle east must end. Even Venezuelan oil is less dangerous than middle east oil.

JOHN BOEHNER – A republican, but really a liberal just resigned.

That’s the problem with the socialist pigs – they don’t compete, they infiltrate all side and destroy. Good to see you go Boehner.

Billary is a fucking criminal – she won’t go to jail, but she should resign soon. Elizabeth Warren, communist in waiting, will take her place with Simple Joe Biden at her side. Bark for us Joe, bark!
