Say what you want about Hope Solo, but her suspension was not warranted.
The USA goalie made these controversial comments after her team was eliminated from the Olympics by Sweden:
“We played a creative game. We had many opportunities on goal. We showed a lot of heart. We came back from a goal down. I’m very proud of this team. We played a bunch of cowards. The best team did not win today. I strongly, firmly believe that.”
“Sweden dropped back. They didn't want to open play. They didn’t want to pass the ball around. They didn’t want to play great soccer, entertaining soccer. It was a combative game. A physical game. Exactly what they wanted. Exactly what their game plan was. We had that style of play when Pia was our coach. I think it was very cowardly. But they won, they’re moving on. And we’re going home.”
Unfortunately, Solo was suspended for six months and her contract was terminated by the US Soccer Federation. And for what? For being passionate? For telling the truth.
It's 2016. And passion isn't allowed in Obama's America.
Soccer/football aside, Sweden is a country full of cowards. I'd strongly recommend reading our list of 10 stories that prove Sweden is the most pathetic country on Earth.
Here's the deal: Sweden doesn't have the balls to take its country back. What few men it has are completely overwhelmed by the beta male society of modern Sweden. We're talking a society that covers up the rapes of women by Muslim migrants.
We're talking about a society so pathetic that toy stores in Stockholm have gone 'gender neutral'. Without boys, there are no men.
Indeed, the progressive playhouse that is Sweden couldn't be more of a concentration camp for masculinity.
And how does this all come back to a game of soccer at the Olympics? As Solo pointed out, Sweden, in its laughable glory, decided to cowardly turtle than play against the United States. Is it a strategy? Sure. But a cowardly one, absolutely.
It's a staple of Swedish society now, to cower when forced with an obstacle. Instead of trying to tackle the problem of out of control immigration, Sweden has taken to kicking its own citizens out of their homes to make way for refugees.
The United States would be better off not following in Sweden's footsteps by throwing their own under the bus.
