Sold-out hotel taking in "military members long term while they house refugees at CFB Kingston." Here's a BETTER idea.

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

Here's part of a letter that was sent to someone trying to book a room at the Ambassador Hotel in Kingston, Ontario:

"I regret to inform you that we are sold out of those dates. Aside from the sporting events, we have taken in our military members long term while they house refugees at CFB Kingston."

So it’s really happening, just as we reported exclusively this week:

Canadian soldiers are being kicked out of their homes on military bases and Muslim migrants from Syria are being flown in to live in our soldiers' homes.

Hey, I’ve got a better idea:

We should house these refugees in Parliament.

Seriously. Not the actual chamber of the House of Commons, but all the offices around them. Surely that's a lesser convenience and humiliation than is being done to our troops.

After all, MPs are the ones who support this. Why, with the Liberals, are soldiers always our punching bags?

This is nuts. SIGN OUR PETITION against it at RefugeePause.ca now.

This is wicked poor reporting of a fabricated hate mongoring story. It would be better suited for the onion because it is a joke, sadly a joke that people now believe. My husband just got back from Kingston guess where he stayed….the barracks…..guess how many refugees he shared them with 0.

I wonder if those military bases will become ghettoes or our very own home grown no-go zones, -- like the many that do not really exist in so many E.U. countries.

Lucky Canada. Now we are a part of the real world.

Sniff, sniff. What do I smell. Sharia?

Send the bastards to live with the idiot Trudeau and his family. What a two face asswhole.

This was not typed by anyone in the hospitality industry. The name and tile font are the same, big no no. Also, why can’t we see the letterhead? It looks like it was typed by someone who doesn’t understand letter format rules or proper business communication. Hard to imagine a Sales Manager typed this..

Why aren’t you interviewing any of these people, getting quotes? You think you’d be doing this so that people couldn’t deny it later and sue you… what the hell are you doing?

A letter? Like paper? You’re gonna get sued again … I checked their reservation website… rooms are available. A letter from someone? Who is this someone?

Hyacinth: Not really sure how you can determine by reading my post that I am not relaxed. I did see the original diss that was made but I did not agree with it but still tried to listen to the complaint he was making regardless of his inflammatory comment. I didn’t acknowledge just as I don’t acknowledge every time one of us goes off the deep end but from time to time I do think it needs addressing. This was one such occasion. I think we can all agree (conservatives) that we would like to see the party grow as well as the rebel. God knows we need more voices telling or even questioning the story we are getting from the MSM. I know we can’t control free speech and I wouldn’t want to however we can control ourselves and make this a place for everyone to feel welcome even if their views and language are a bit unconventional. We can have healthy robust debate without getting too personal or mean. I know I’m not above getting a bit annoyed with some of the extreme comments of lefties and if I wanted I could easily respond with as much or more poison than is thrown at me. As tempting as it is I really would rather not. I would rather attempt to have a constructive dialogue and yes at times you will no doubt see me fail but it is not my objective to hurt anyone. If I win a debate it is an empty victory if I have driven the people we are trying to reach off. That is the last I have to comment on this.

The military aircraft have been making daily trips to Kingston since Tuesday. They’re flying over my house which is noticeable since it is not a commercial flight path.
Kingston is a university town. It is full of young, liberal minded, party going students, not to mention a tourist town. Not only will this be a culture shock to the people being brought here, but it will be a culture clash.
I hope they have not created another Germany. Time will tell and we will probably see by the summer.

Edward you really do need to learn to relax, let it go. Its not worth giving yourself an ulcer or headache. No offense intended but you are so focused on your stance (what you said and why) that you don’t see that the person originally dissed is well known as a troll on this site. Trolls have only two objectives one is to discredit the article and second to destroy the thread.

“And as far as lighting up. I am a pretty light hearted guy and love to laugh and joke with people”
I’ll have to take your word on that because I have only seen your serious side, I have yet to see the light hearted side.

Hyacinth: It was a well measured response to the nonsensical attitude often exuded on this forum. I cannot count how many times I have read people here gleefully wishing hell and damnation on anyone who holds opposing opinions. When I read comments from people I always consider the possibility that they may be trolls but I have no conclusive proof and so I can at least say I listen and evaluate their comments not necessarily swayed by their comments but I consider them. I then suggested contacting the person running the hotel. That comment was pulled. Fair enough as I suggested probably probably an unwise idea on my part and I apologize if it caused any difficulty to the hotel staff. Then someone else clamed they called the hotel and there was booking available. Again possibly a troll but I have no way of knowing and consider the possibility of their comments. To me this just makes the story interesting. That’s what the news is about trying to get to the bottom of the story. But it seems some here do not want to consider anything outside of their sources and then in many instances tell people to leave (like they have the authority but more likely a reflection of their own insecurity to co-exist with and have dialogue with people who don’t share their worldview. If you notice my insults or attacks are for the most part focused at the ideas uut yes i will address people who make personal attacks. fair is fair and I am not opposed to making jokes either. What I don’t try to engage in is accusing people of not being who they say they are or because i simply have no evidence and try to extend them the same courtesy I hope they extend me. All of this reminds me of an experience I had some years ago when some religious extremist was making allot of far out accusations against Catholic priests. When I defend them he then accused me of defending men who raped little boys. So far from the truth. I was defending the many who did not and would never harm a child who did not deserve to be labelled as pedophiles. He then accused me of being a Jesuit spy. The truth is I was Catholic as a child and was around many priests who never acted in a sexual manner around me even though I had been alone on many occasions. (One priest in high schools did ask me a sexual question during a confessional but I cannot honestly say that translated into anything). Then is individual suggested it was probably because I was too ugly. Do you see the pattern? It was just one crazy accusation after another. I am no longer Catholic but I still feel these priests deserved to be treated fairly whether I agree with their faith or not. But I do see allot of wild and crazy accusations and I just don’t think some people understand the need to try and refrain from that conduct because it is not helping grow the conservative base and to be honest I think it causes people to be afraid to disagree because they might find themselves the next one bieng outed. And as far as lighting up. I am a pretty light hearted guy and love to laugh and joke with people but I do try and check myself for not being mean spirited and if i cross the line I’m not to proud to apologize.

The whole thing is sickening & disgusting & that the gov’t would even come up with such a plan shows you what they really think of our military. This is what Germany & France have done, but I sure as he’ll never thought this would happen here too. Hellooooooooo Justin & McCallum, the light bulb just lit up THERE’S NO DAMN ROOM, what part of that don’t you understand?

Am tired so eloquence be damned and tossed to the four winds. Edward you really need to chill sweetie, you are blowing this so out of proportion. Did you read what you wrote before you posted it? I would hazard the guess that you did not. You have contradicted yourself. William noticed it too. The person that was dissed is a known troll. If you want to defend a known troll then knock your socks off that’s your prerogative, just don’t expect to walk away totally clean on that.

Speaking of flinging mud: Your hands are not exactly clean either and I quote: “If ever I am tempted to get discouraged at the endless pettiness and infantile behaviour among the brethren I simply look to the left and am encouraged they have no shortage of nutjobs either.” That is a rather verbose way of telling someone to stick a sock in it because you disapprove and giving the Liberals a quick jab at the same time.

“If I have any sensitivity it is the embarrassment I feel when I see people hoping to promote conservative values rushing to judgement, unwilling to take any constructive criticism. Although these issues are important we need to try and avoid making personal attacks. You know the whole do unto others if anyone still believes that.” Sorry sweetie but that was an attack as well.

Valcartier and Kingston are on notice to be prepared to accept refugee imposters. That’s it in a nutshell. The remainder of the bases are now officially off the hook for now, probably because they can’t find and transport enough refugee imposters to Canada to justify getting all these bases involved.

Edward Jobin. You are starting to contradict yourself and not provide facts for some of your arguments. You need to relax.

“Cheese its are like the second coming of cheesus.”
(・_-。 ) Must ponder that one Daylin, meantime pass the cheese dip and crackers.

Found another article:

This article states more than the one in the Toronto Sun, but …

“When everything started they looked coast to coast,” Capt. Thomas Edelson, public affairs officer for the Canadian Joint Operations Command, said in a phone interview. “The difference between what is planned and what is executed can be quite different things.” – An admission?

Mid-article – same placating scripted answers as from the start.

“There were some people moved from various locations to free up continuous quarters,” Edelson explained. “But when people may be given the green light to move back, that would require the end of the operation.”

Don’t know about you Daylin, but the last sentence doesn’t sit well with me. He did not define an end date nor even hint at one. For all intensive purposes one can assume that there is no end because Trudeau pledged to bring in first 25,000 then it became 50,000. Will the number be changed again as we near the end of 2016? What about next year and the year after that?

Edward, try posting facts that denounce religion here, and watch the anger flow.

Hyacinth: I would suggest the opposite is true. I believe Ezra operates with high integrity. That being said he can still make mistakes and would be the first o admit it. Someone else comes along and offers a different perspective and immediately people are attacking the guy. My question is why are they being so sensitive? They also could be wrong or the truth may lie somewhere between the two lines we are hearing. But some of the people here want to rush and attack the guy rather than trying to collect more facts. Rather than staying focused on the issue, they want to make it a personal thing. I raise what I believe is rational defense and am told “maybe I shouldn’t come here” and “to blow it out my ass”. In my estimation that comment was motivated from over-sensitivity. If I have any sensitivity it is the embarrassment I feel when I see people hoping to promote conservative values rushing to judgement, unwilling to take any constructive criticism. Although these issues are important we need to try and avoid making personal attacks. You know the whole do unto others if anyone still believes that.

Edward, overly sensitive aren’t you? Did we strike a nerve? Good, it makes one think. Without thought there is no sign of life, hence the term “the lights are on but nobody is home”.

“Hyacinth – (/ )/ Hail to the cheese and be it by the cheese that we live. "

(o_ _)o May you walk with cheese my son.

From Daylin’s link:
“The government is no longer preparing to house a sizeable number of refugees at military bases, the Canadian Forces has confirmed. But that doesn’t mean officers who were moved out of their quarters get to return.
Bases in Meaford, Borden, Petawawa, Trenton and Montreal have been removed from a state of high readiness, leaving only Kingston and Valcartier on alert for refugees. … They still won’t be allowed back in their premises, as it remains possible the government will call on them to house refugees.”

Something smells, similar to the stink of parmesan cheese left in the heat of the hot sun. Something tells me this “News” release is manufactured to elicit a specific response from the populace, to placate and lull Canadians. And the sheeple will be lulled back into their stupor (-‸ლ)

William McDonnell commented _ “Todays security is much better but no security is perfect <> I would venture a guess and say these thefts happened in Afghanistan.”

I Would further hazard a guess that if they occurred in Afghanistan, they happened in a military compound with a locked arsenal – much like the CFBs we are filling with unscreened “Afghan-like” migrants . If you can “lose” hundreds of weapons from a military compound under security demanded by being in a war zone, I have to question the wisdom of putting potential ISL agents or ISL sympathizers within proximity of military weapons cashes – security compromise of a higher order there.
commented 2016-02-11 14:51:31 -0500
Bill Elder. The only way Dennis Lortie got his hands on a military weapon is that he somehow had access to the weapons lock up. Back then, in1982 time period, there would be no electronic button pad combination system. Lock up would have been with heavy metal secured doors and the keys would have been of the variety that is very difficult to copy. I don’t know much of the story about Lortie but I am fairly confident he got his hands on a sub machine gun. Todays security is much better but no security is perfect as trust is assigned to those individuals who are responsible for weapons security.

I do not dispute your statement that 484 weapons were stolen from DND in 2012-13. Without checking on any facts I would venture a guess and say these thefts happened in Afghanistan. If these thefts happened in Canada due to a break and enter or illegal arms sale at one of the bases it would surely have been reported in the media. If these thefts happened in Afghanistan then that would explain no media reports but there would surely be investigations by the military that so far have not resulted in any public scandal of negligence or other military offences.
