How much will Trudeau Liberals spend to “pimp his palace”? 24 Sussex renos range from $38M to $250M

Brian LilleyRebel Co-Founder

The National Capital Commission has new plans to renovate 24 Sussex Drive and it could cost taxpayers, hundreds of millions dollars, and I mean anywhere from $38M to $250M.

Watch as I fill you in on some of the history of this “heritage” property and explain why attempts by bureaucrats to turn this into the White House North, just don’t make sense.

Will Justin Trudeau show some leadership and push back against the bureaucrats who want to “pimp his palace”?

Prime Ministers of the past, even Liberal ones, have done the right thing by taxpayers refusing to move out for renovations. Will Justin?

I take it it was Stephen Harper who agreed to move out of 24 Sussex Drive. After his election defeat he seemed so sheepish and not up for a fight.

Trudeau did not move into Sussex, but he and his family seemed to have moved into the cottage at Rideau for the long haul.

I think that once those who voted for this fool on the hill, see what his policies do to their pay cheques, and to their families, and to Canada as a country, they might just pick up a pitch fork, and bring the tar and feathers too. The only thing that seems to work with those who will not listen, is real life experience.

I hope the fvcking thing is failing apart, I hope the bastard occupying it is bloody well embarrassed to have dignitaries see it – because even falling apart it is better than most Canadians can afford to live in after their paychecks have been savaged by this half-wit kleptocrat and his parasitic entourage.

Globalists need to see how working Canadians live after their economic agendas have taken root – no Potemkin pretense

The only thing historic about this building is that daddy was PM, and lived in it. It should be torn down for that kind of coin. The arrogance of junior and his party of thieves is beyond belief. The rest of the population is supposed to eat dirt, while they live like kings and queens on our dime, and make laws that go against the majority for their globalist agenda.

Hyacinth………I checked out the video & I fume at what Winbag & her greedy, incompetent bunch of thieves are doing to On, that used to be a “have” province & look at it now, a pathetic shadow of itself & you can blame not only WBAg herself but all the idiots who were deaf & blind to th Libs’ goings on!!!!! It’s a tragedy really & WBAg by apologizing because she has nothing else to defend herself with (like Hillay did) does not make it OK either, however, she’s still there & nothing ever happens to these thieves &. traitors. Is that what you call “democracy”, well in today’s world, this is the reality.

When is this useless CUCK going to do something to create jobs in Canada instead of gouging tax payers to spend 10X what it should to renovate 24 Sussex. I bet little miss Sofie has a large say in the budget to feed her insatiable appetite for tax payer funded luxuries.

Liberals are naturally wasteful spenders, a talent one could say. We’ve seen such waste from Trudeau and his caucus in a very short span of time yet only crickets or defense of from the left. If it were the conservatives doing the exact wasteful expenditures the left would have an aneurysm and their heads collectively explode.

There is no difference between the federal or provincial Liberals, same red tent, same backroom boys. Came across yet another example of waste, details are finally being reported.

Why does 24 Sussex Dr. need to be renovated every time a new asshole moves in there to dictate to the country… Shouldn’t there be some legislation protecting taxpayer dollars providing a ceiling for the amount of money that can be spent.
Come on folks after all the rent is free so why does one feel the need to change everything about the building when they live there.
I think that secretly he’s trying to renovate the conservative out of 24 Sussex Dr. before it’s deemed fit for him and Princess Sophie to inhabit such a modest but temporary dwelling.

Baby Doc Trudeau seems to believe that he is a Duvalier. Money is no problem to this two time university dropout, born with a golden spoon and trust funds galore.

He has never had an understanding of money and how it is earned. Remember how he said that small business is the plaything of the rich, budgets balance themselves, and there will be a tiny tiny deficit of $10 billion.

So far he as spared no expense for himself and his family, and all at the public’s dime.

We have already heard about his wife’s demands and complaints about where they are presently living. Imagine if she has sway with him for what is spent. Think $500 million or more.

Considering how much we have been put into the hole by Baby Doc, and how much borrowed funds he has given away to other countries and UN schemes (i.e. climate change) one would hope that the PM would lead by example and make do. Well, no. His childhood home must now reflect the dynasty.

We are so screwed…

Three more years. Will we make it?

I hope this $38M plus is only talk & no action. Mr. Trudeau is very concerned about housing for natives, many of which have been reduced to trash from neglect, by same, & what about all the homeless who have no place to sleep, he should think about these people in making a decision about how much money is appropriate to spend on the PM’s residence & you’re right Brian it is not the White House & besides Obama will be kaput in another 2 mths & we know how much Justy loves & clones everything Obama, but not when it comes to 24 Sussex Drive. Furthermore he had better smarten up & stop running around the globe in his fossil fueled jet which emits tonnes of CO2 which he says is causing climate change & never stops nagging us about it. Maybe he should go to Parliament Hill once in a while to earn his pay & stop over taxing corporations & businesses so jobs can be created, because the way it’s going there won’t be a need for a PM residence because our country will have ceased to exist. The stock market is down, the loonie is down because no one wants to invest here because of the huge deficit & his priority is to go to Africa & talk about the gay community. Nice going, Mr. PM.

Jay Kelly the range is the problem, it leaves too much room for corruption and waste. You know, things the left are the best at.

Jimmy Reece when will Harpers hidden agenda and the war on women start? Oh yeah that was left wing bullshit and propaganda. LMAO! And all those troops on the streets LMAO!

Jimmy Reece Harper did not plan to rape the taxpayer in doing so. HUGE DIFFERENCE! Now go be a good loser. Justin is a moron and yet he makes you look dumb. Liberal corruption is far above any other party , it is a well proven fact. Now go lie about our troops like a good liberal hack.

Ouch!

People are riled up about the cost of renovating 24 Sussex Drive. That is the official address of Canada’s Prime Minister since the 1940’s.

The current Prime Minister agreed to live at Rideau Cottage with his wife and children, while the expensive renovations at 24 Sussex Drive were done. And those renovations will cost millions.

The current Prime Minister would probably like to have a stable home, for the sake of the young ones. But for the moment he has to be patient. The renovations at 24 Sussex Drive may be completed while Justin Trudeau is Prime Minister (that is the hope). Or the renovations may be completed in time for the next Conservative Prime Minister, or the so-called “radical-right” leader.

If you are interested in details, check out the estimated budget for renovation of 24 Sussex Drive.

Jimmy, In case you are unaware, Canada’s ‘White House’ is across the street from 24 Sussex (I believe the address is 1 Sussex) otherwise known as ‘Rideau Hall’.

The Queen is the head of state for this country, with the GG doing her work in her absence. So spending millions on the place for state affairs is nonsensical, especially since we have a perfectly good venue for that a few hundred yards away.
commented 2016-11-24 22:34:56 -0500
Yes, because doing desperately needed renovations to the home of the PM – regardless if it’s liberal or conservative is indeed corruption. What the fuck is wrong with you.

If the White House had turned in a dilapidated mess that the PM’s house has become, no one would have a problem with White House renovation and it wouldn’t be an issue like it is on The Rebel for a liberal PM.

Harper was actually smart in that he knew the house had become a shit hole and would certainly have wanted to do renovations, but he let it go so that a liberal politician can be attacked over something that he agreed needs to be done.

and he has no plans of moving out once he and his family are in there!! In his mind he OWNS CANADA, WE CANADIANS and can do as he pleases. My guess is voting as we know it is done by the next election so we can’t vote him out! He already has broken Parliamentary laws, traditions and so on and believe he is above the laws of the land. Very dangerous, mentally disturbed, evil dictator and a member of the death cult which he is re-colonizing Canada with while bringing in sharia across Canada and allowing them to form their own little governments. Say good bye to the life you have known and the country you were born in because this little bastard is here to stay and he would prefer we Canadians all drop dead!
commented 2016-11-24 21:42:18 -0500
The only reason renovations could possibly cost that much is if liberals are in complete charge. Realistically, even for 38M, I wouldn’t be surprised if private contractors (maybe ask Mike Holmes) could renovate the house and then build a new one beside it 5 times the size they could use the original for a guest house.
commented 2016-11-24 20:57:00 -0500
Jimmy Reece -“not this bullshit again!” , that sums up how we feel now that liberal corruption is back at a high level.

Jimmy Reece there would be no more bullshit if you did not comment.

OMG. How is this POS possible? There’s a difference between a leader and a boss. Justin wants to be the boss.(Of something he never earned)
commented 2016-11-24 20:01:37 -0500
There’s a little cottage across the street from my house – renovation costs = $50,000 tops. There are a lot of low-cost houses in Winnipeg, the CENTER of Canada. Time to burn down 24 Sussex Drive. Build a school for Political Incorrectness in its place…

Jesus slept on a cot in a carpenter’s shop.
Mother Teresa slept on rugs with her clients.
David Livingstone slept in thatch huts and in the outdoors.
Gandhi slept on a floor mat.

Arrogance sleeps on top of tons of hard=working people’s money…
commented 2016-11-24 18:53:33 -0500
I think the NCC needs to have a look at some of the $2 to $4 million dollar homes currently on the market in Ottawa and see if any of them provide a reasonable place for a prime minister to live. If not, perhaps the same architects could be retained to build a similarly priced home for our prime ministers and their families. I have no problem with tearing down the existing buildings at 24 Sussex if necessary. As Brian has pointed out, the only “heritage” aspect of the existing building is the exterior. I find it unlikely that levelling that building would be a great tragedy.
commented 2016-11-24 17:53:15 -0500
Well if he puts miss piggy in charge the tax payer is royally fucked.
commented 2016-11-24 17:51:35 -0500
Not this bullshit again.

The house was falling apart and desperately needed renovations no matter who is Prime Minister. The more it’s put off – the more expensive it will be. Do you not understand that concept, Brian?

America has The White House – maybe the Canadian PM (liberal or conservative) shouldn’t be living in an embarrassing dilapidated shit hole?

By the way, you want to tighten up that ballpark a bit? There is a universe of difference between 38M and 250M.
