Hunters, fishermen sneered at AGAIN by "environmentalist" MPs

Brian LilleyRebel Co-Founder

Near Parliament Hill, Canadian politicians work beside some of the most beautiful rivers and countrysides in our nation. Too bad they don't seem to appreciate them.

Yet some MPs on the "progressive" side of the House still sneer at rural pastimes like hunting, trapping and fishing. They don't consider them important environmental issues.

I told you about a Liberal who did that last week.

Now meet the NDP members who seem almost annoyed when these matters come up for discussion:

Hi Brian, I checked Hansard for Monday March 9th but couldn’t find Megan Leslie’s remark. Would you be able to post a link to it? I want to tease an NDP relative who lives in hunting and fishing country.
Thanks a lot!

Clearly, ‘liberals’ of any stripe, own the urban voter, or at least enough of them to sway an election. They have no interest in the rural voter and hold them in contempt as stupid, unschooled, country bumpkins. As long as ‘liberals’ continue to lavish urban Canada with tax funds, it will be ever thus.

What till all the Priemers of Canada come back from there 5 star trip to Paris this year for the United Nations climate change summit!! They’ll be beating the carbon tax brum like the energizer bunny… The U N are just a bunch of unelected bureaucrats and they do have an agenda. It’s called agenda21. If you have’nt read it I suggest you look into it…

Meagan Leslie has done a make-over and is dressing more professionally gearing up for the election. She has become ambitious to earn her pension and perhaps a future in politics. She no doubt enjoys her cushy life. Personally, I want her gone!

As to the study on hunting, fishing and trapping, who in Canada do the NDP think have the greatest stake in the environment if not hunters, trappers, fishers whose livelihood depends on sustaining the envoronment? How would consulting UN or IPCC climate change opinion papers give them any data at all about Canada’s environmental needs?

As for fracking, maybe a study would be instructive as the data from the US indicate it has reduced pollution by facilitating oil independence and thus freedom from coal.

As I said before, climate change is real. That’s what climates do! They change! Human activity is bound to have some affect on it because we have such a large footprint on the planet. But so do many other planetary realities, such as mountains, forests, desserts, oceans, etc. But all of these factors pale in comparison to solar activity at any given point in time. The policies promoted by the liberals and other climate-change alarmists has nothing to do with true environmentalism, it’s political. It’s about the re-distribution of the wealth, from those who earn it to those who don’t. However, all of that is irrelevant. I’m afraid the battle has been lost. We huddled masses are free to discuss and disagree on whether or not man-made global warming is real, but it would be political suicide for any politician, be they liberal, NDP or conservative. So I think ultimately we will be stuck with some kind ridiculous tax, designed to solve a problem that doesn’t exist. What a crazy world!

Mabey the left doesn’t realize that " global warming " now called " climate change " was originally presented to the world by Margaret thatcher, a propaganda/ fear-mongering term to get Britts behind building nuke plants, and turn against mid-east oil consumption. A decade latter the term was picked up by environmentalists, and became the propaganda tool of the left . Food for thought !
