Sam Young commented – " what drives some hunter to want to go trophy hunting. It’s that need to feel like a big shot after shooting a wild animal with a rifle."

It’s sad watching people moralize about things they have absolutely no knowledge of. For most hunters, the pay-off is a venison dinner. I have never trophy hunted nor wish to but I have to admit it takes some nuts to stand within charging distance of a 1-3 ton animals (which between them kill 1000s of people a year), with nothing but a 4 shot bolt rifle or a big bore double gun – these guns are really not a sure match for dangerous game unless you get real close, are calm, deliberate, an expert shot, and fate gives you a perfect one shot kill – and don’t get rattled in the face of death if the first shot fails and that animal charges – until you understand the challenges, risks and benefits, best keep the pious moralizing for puritan church sermons. Golf courses, human development and urban sprawl destroy more wild animal habitat (and thus animals) than hunting, but we won’t see you moralize on that because you benefit directly.

Ron Christensen commented – “Right wing garbage.” – which contains left wing crap.

The left leaves us crappy diapers leaving the right to take out the garbage.

I have hunted most of my life, and am active in a number of conservation organizations – my experience in the field with these organizations is that hunters are really the only friend these animals have – the collective left are Prohibitionists and preservationists, NOT conservationists – there is a great deal of difference. The Left believe a resource should not be managed or harvested – that it takes care of itself in perpetuity – that is scientifically wrong – most every species which has vanished went extinct by lack of habitat. Keeping habitat viable and animal numbers in healthy balance for that available habitat is the essence of conservation. It’s much like gardening instead of letting the back yard go wild and overgrow choking out a lot of vulnerable species.

As for the heavy lifting in conservation, I have never seen the greeny weenies out there on a frigid Febuary day pitching bails to feed snow bound Elk or Deer, – and I missed the Sierra club members helping us build nesting boxes for wood duck or buying/preserving habitat for for waterfowl and upland birds.

Although the concept of trophy hunting is repugnant to me personally, I have to acknowledge that trophy big game hunting has saved most African large species from extinction by replacing the revenue struggling African governments would get by turning the wildlands over to human habitation and agriculture – of note is the elephant and rhino which were both on their way to extinction due to agricultural crowding and whose number have now stabilized due to conservation through hunting revenues – perhaps eco-tourism can replace the massive amount of revenues trophy hunting puts into African government coffers some day, but for now it is the international hunting community which is directly responsible for African big game species survival, conservation and habitat preservation.

If that FACT is “garbage” to you, then you have your head in a dark, warm, moist smelly place where correct visual modality is impossible.

Gee, isn’t this what Faith was ranting about? About people letting their emotions get in the way?

Talking about emotions, I would say emotion is what drives some hunter to want to go trophy hunting. It’s that need to feel like a big shot after shooting a wild animal with a rifle. And isn’t it emotion, to want to throw guilt money at repopulating or supporting the african countries? Because all guilt can be washed away with money.

Faith, you are not just an embarrassment to the right wing. You ar exactly what the left wing needs for ammo to use against the right. The next time Ezra grovels for money to rebuild the right, we should direct him to your videos. And then we can counter propose that instead of forking over all that money over, the right wing should just distance itself away from people like yourself. That would do a lot more to rebuild the right than Ezra’s proposed endowment fund.

The facts are: The first conservationists were hunters. I’m not talking about delusional preservationists…
Because some ‘people’ who comment here are delusional lefty/liberals, their robot programing and indoctrination won’t allow them to see simple fact, logic, reason, common sense and moral absolutes…this is also a known fact.
The fact is, pussified, urban liberal metrosexuals and insane, ne’er-do-well pantywaists who spew drivel and nonsense like, “Faith, you are a lunatic with bad logic and an anger problem. Let me get this straight. You are extolling the virtues of hunting, by claiming that it actually does good to the animal population?”, cannot see how ridiculous and offensive they are, let alone how their narcissistic anti-everything, cry-baby mewlings and mealy mouthed progressivism is destroying Canada, and everything else good…
Among all the other great things THEREBEL does daily, it also allows the enemy to show their true colours, of their own volition – gotta love free speech…

Faith, you are a lunatic with bad logic and an anger problem. Let me get this straight. You are extolling the virtues of hunting, by claiming that it actually does good to the animal population? You can make a case for people helping to repopulate animals as helping, but that is NOT hunting. Hunting is just shooting an animal. Hunting does not involve the process of repopulating. Spare me your science claims. You are only mentioning words like scientific evidence, because you have nothing to stand on.

To you, hunting is good because it’s better than poaching. This is completely irrelevant. Poaching was never good to begin with. That is like saying using a guillotine for capital punishment is better than using a sword for decapitation. Completely irrelevant and does nothing to explain how good hunting is.

Last I checked, there are only three white rhinos around. I know this because it’s the main featured video on wochit news.

And just what is so good about trophy hunting anyways? All you have to say is that you are going to africa to pay money to kill some animals. Please tell me you have a better argument than you are going to protect people from the big bad lions.

And just what are you going to do with a dead lion, white rhino, or elephant? Are you going to eat the thing? More likely, you are going to hang the head or tusk up on your living room wall.

You are a nut. Every so often, I feel the motivation to open up my wallet and donate some money to this rebel website. But then I watch some ass backwards lunatic like yourself, and change my mind to give money or get a subscription.

And get help for your anger problem. Your anger is so bad, that it is making you screw up the lines you are reading.

At one point, Paul Joseph Watson said: “The left has gone completely insane. In their zeal to virtue signal and prove that they are more progressive than anyone else, they actually expose the fact that they are more regressive than ever before in tolerating what is a completely intolerant religion, which is in need of reform just as Christianity was reformed back in the 1500s.” A “completely intolerant religion, which is in need of reform just as Christianity was reformed back in the 1500s”?
I wish people would disconnect from the narrative that somehow Islam could be “reformed” as promoted by the likes of Raheel Raza and Zuhdi Jasser who are part of a so-called Muslim Reform Movement:
In their “Declaration” the Muslim Reform Movement declares, “We seek to reclaim the progressive spirit with which Islam was born in the 7th century to fast forward it into the 21st century.” To “seek to reclaim progressive spirit with which Islam was born in the 7th century” (as exhibited by the life of Muhammad)? You’ve got to be kidding me!
Dr. Stephen Kirby, the author of three books about Islam, defines “fantasy Islam” as: “A game in which an audience of non-Muslims wish with all their hearts that Islam was a ‘Religion of Peace,’ and a Muslim strives to fulfill that wish by presenting a personal version of Islam that has little foundation in Islamic Doctrine.”
Because the Qur’an is considered by Muslims to be the exact and immutable word of their god, Allah, dictated word-for-word by Allah himself through the angel Gabriel to the prophet Muhammad in the early 7th century AD, it is valid for all time and cannot be questioned. Therefore, it cannot be reformed or changed, without rejecting it entirely. According to Robert Spencer, the director of Jihad Watch, to base the future of our countries (U.S. and Canada), to base our children’s lives on the idea that the vast majority of Muslims don’t want to do this, don’t care about Jihad and conquest and subjugation and that somehow some large group of Muslims who are moderates are going to rise up and fight against the Jihadis and stop them, such thinking as espoused by Zudhi Jasser (and other members of the Muslim Reform Movement) “is not only foolish”, but, “is suicide”! In fact, I would say, to think that way (to hold such wishful thinking) is dangerous because such a distraction lulls us into complacency.
After all, Christianity had the Reformation, so goes the argument as per Paul Joseph Watson, an atheist, who presents himself as a theologian. However, the Reformation was a case of an emphasis on upholding the authority of God’s Word and establishing a clearer understanding of the means of salvation. The Bible wasn’t reformed or changed as a result of the Reformation. For example, In Matthew 5:44 of the Bible, Jesus says, "But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.” There was no prior version of the Bible saying “hate your enemies” as is found in the Qu’aran with respect to non-Muslims. To “reform” Islam, the Qu’aran would need to be completely re-written. To reform Islam you have to, first, get rid of Muhammad (who declared himself the last prophet), and, second, get rid of the Quran.

Faith, your “good friend” Jodie can’t have it both ways. She is calling for pot to be legal without the same constraints placed on it as alcohol. Her argument that pot affects people in different ways is sound however, the same could be said for booze or prescription drugs. The government arbitrarily said .08 is the limit and also legislated labeling and distribution of alcohol products as they did with cigarettes, Both alcohol and cannabis cause impairment and should be treated the same. I’m on the same page with her that both should be available at free market prices but C’mon, you can’t have cake and eat it too.

- Faith, you do realize the so-called animal rights activists you are referring to will never, ever allow themselves to be convinced of anything based on fact, logic, reason, common sense or moral absolutes – if it doesn’t jibe with their un-facts, illogic, lack of reason, no common sense, immorality and delusional ‘beliefs’, – let alone even listening…but thanks for informing us. - I may have to skip the news portion of your show in future…my blood pressure probably won’t take the strain of jumping up and down in anger and pulling out what little hair I have left in rage at the mean stupidity of some people… - As an adult I decide what goes into my body or not – not ‘the government’ – even though I prefer an aged single malt whiskey myself. The idea of getting rid of prohibition in order to take it out of the hands of the criminal element is sound – as the 18th and 21st Amendments in the US clearly show – but if ‘the government’ gets it’s criminal hands on this organic product – that other criminal element will still be around… - “The left has gone completely insane.” PJW…Islam which is neither a religion or peaceful is completely incompatible with Western values, law and lifestyle – in fact it is inimical to the West and the entire world. The left is aiding and abetting this destruction – sorry PJW, but ‘gone completely insane’ is your typical British understatement…

See here for Islamic manifesto:
– God bless you Faith…

I don’t hunt but do love guns Hunters do contribute to the management of wild life.
I used to hunt a bit but really can’t hurt animals anymore. I once shot a fox and tracked it until i found it laying down taking it’s last breath. Reminded me of my dog so i never shot another animal.

Faith: as a Libertarian, I’ve always advocated “decriminalizing” common pot, that way we put police, courts and politicians back to what they should be doing, controlling true criminals, not invading people’s homes and punishing victimless consentual activity. Another milestone in getting big brother out of our personal business I did not however, advocate the government taking the place of the criminal pot cartels with a monopoly/Oligopoly of distribution. The best solution was to just decriminalize possession and use of small personal use quantities and small scale personal production. That way only those who really want to use pot regularly will engage in growing it and the feds and crime lords keep their hooks out of the pot rackets. Hash, Pot&Hash oil (the heavier intoxicants) are another story, I haven’t made up my mind about, these need regulation.

Public intoxication and intoxication on the job or in care of dangerous equipment is well defined and should apply to pot abuse as it does to alcohol abuse – there has to be a quick relatively accurate test for pot intoxication and a reasonable limit set to indicate impairment. That should be in place BEFORE any legislation for pot decrim is passed – but the performance of the Ontario and Federal government gives me no hope this issue will not be recklessly implemented as a cash cow with public safety being ignored.

On the issue of hunting, I’m compelled to make a scientific observation. But first, I will clear the air.
I would never demand anyone not hunt. It’s a personal choice and freedom.
I do eat meat, but only farmed.
I recognized that in many parts of the world, top predators have all but disappeared replaced with people with guns, and the occasional car. Hence hunting is required to keep prey populations from getting out of control.

However. Science has shown us that many of these prey animals are actually quite intelligent, and are sentient beings. The degree of awareness and intelligence in animals varies wildly, but there is an individual in their heads. Science has demonstrated that a number of animals, crows, parrots, primates, and even whales and elephants, can think, can problem solve, have individual personalities, and have emotions just like us.

So by that criteria I kind of put myself in the place of these organisms when a crosshair is placed on me. In fact, this is not so far fetched today, as ISIS has us in their crosshairs. To them, we infidels are just prey.

Goldy introduced her last segment, saying “Islam has the region (Europe) divided”, and asks “but will it see the region destroyed”? After introducing 5 bullet points revealing jihad creep or the Islamization of Europe, Goldy explains her concluding 6th bullet (“Far right making gains in Europe”), saying “Is it any wonder we have seen a surge in the far right?”
“A surge in the far right”? While starting this segment urging, “folks to buckle up as you are about to enter the p.c. free zone”, unfortunately, Goldy falls into the politically-correct trap employed by the “far left”, by buying into the narrative used by the left-wing ‘progressives’ to close off any debate and silence their critics, by deploying their usual ‘shut-off valves’ like “Islamophobia”, “bigot”, “racist”, “hate-monger”, “fear-monger”, “denier”, and, last but not least, accusing one of being a “far-right” extremist. Opposing policies of the “far left”, such as declaring Islam as “a religion of peace” and inviting the mass migration of Muslims from terrorist regions, policies that affect the peace and security of its citizens and “the evisceration of national sovereignty” (Paul Joseph Watson), leads to one being debased by the “far left” as being a “far right” extremist? Really?
However, as I have pointed out many times before, the left/right or communism/fascism dichotomy on the political spectrum is a false dichotomy as explained in a 1-minute segment (15:44 to about 16:56 minutes) from this video, “Agenda – Grinding America Down”, a documentary on the socialist subversion of America through cultural Marxism:
On the far left of the political scale, you have 100% government and on the far right 0% government, that is, anarchy, which is no government. Thus, on the far left you have socialism, communism and Nazism/fascism, all totalitarian forms of government. That is, fascism and socialism are two peas in a pod, birds of a feather. Both are totalitarian, supremacist ideologies that reduce the peoples’ freedom to nil. And with that understanding, Goldy inexplicably opines, “Now, I don’t think you necessarily have to be fearful of a powerful state”? When you are on the extreme left on the political spectrum, it’s not hard calling someone who opposes and draws attention to your leftist policies and designs as being a “racist far-right” extremist!

Jodie Emery has her information straight and can express it well. She is not the typical “pot head”, that is for sure. She is quite an intelligent lady.

I am not sure I full agree with the legalization of marijuana, but one thing for sure is that it is better to make it legal than making these safe injection sites for hard drugs. The evidence indicates that marijuana is not the demon “launch-platform-to-hard-drugs” drug that people make it out to be, though I sure someone can find an example or two to “prove me wrong” on that one. It is far less damaging to the person physically and socially that is alcohol.

I can see the argument where it would reduce the cost of policing the drug and the cost to the legal system would drastically be reduced in addition the government would be able to collect tax revenue from it. And these coupled with taking a major revenue stream from criminals makes it hard to see the down side to legalization.

This is about the only policy of the Justin government with which I do not have a big issue.

Europe uses Africa for exploitative purposes. The UN is the worst of it. When Africa can operate on its own and achieve some form of economic success, Europe hates this.

Europe pays of dictators, which in turn exports raw resources and other products at below market prices. Countries suffer, dictators get rich and Europe gets a sub market, uber cheap supply chain. The UN operates the same way, charging premium prices for schools and other infrastructure. The locals do it cheaper and the UN hates this too.

It will be a pleasure to see Europe financially collapse soon. Want a guess at where ISIS oil is being sold? Check Total Fina (France) purchase (indirect and direct).

Animal activists here are the low paid, useful idiots backed by Europe / the UN that protest self sustaining economies in Africa in the name of that feeds into the media party/MSM – and the suckers that believe the MSM/media party follow this herd.

If hunters and gun owners were half as violent as the anti-hunting and anti-gun activists claim they are. There would be no anti- hunting and anti-gun activists alive. The truth of the matter is that it is always the left wing activists who are violent, act out on that violence, and threaten violence. Their stand on hunting is based on rhetoric and emotion, but that won’t stop them from violently lashing out at hunters. It won’t stop the sympathetic politicians from supporting them, and it won’t stop the media from parroting the falsehoods they spout. The only option for hunters and gun owners, is to gather forces, and become a strong and influential voice, very much like the NRA.
