If Trudeau signs UN Arms Trade Treaty, arming allies like Ukraine will be harder

Brian LilleyRebel Co-Founder

I told you recently about Justin Trudeau’s plan to have the new Liberal government sign on to the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty.

His simple reasoning seems to be, if the UN is for it, it must be good so he's for it too.

But, Canada already has strict controls on the export of firearms to foreign countries and the UN Arms Trade Treaty wouldn’t improve the situation, it would just give less than democratic countries more say in our domestic laws.

Those current domestic laws are being used by left wing, anti-gun groups to try and stop Canada from selling arms to a country that is fighting for democracy -- Ukraine.

Ukraine asked Canada, the United States and other would be allies to help them with munitions to fight back against the Russians and Russian backed forces. Canada wants to move in that direction.

Last summer the Harper government proposed adding Ukraine to the short list of 39 countries around the world that Canadian arms manufacturers can sell to. Despite backing from Prime Minister Harper it didn't go through. The system we have for arms exports is thorough and complete, far in excess of what the UN is pushing and most importantly, it's a Canadian made decision.

Now Amnesty International and Project Ploughshare, two uber left groups, have come out against this.

They point to police tactics used in the over throw of the last government and the tactics used by the so-called rebels to say human rights violations are being committed.

The fact is, a country that aspires to democracy, working with Canada and other international partners is fighting back against an aggressive foreign force and the anti-gun so-called human rights crowd wants it stopped.

If Canada signs the arms trade treaty, then selling arms to friends like Ukraine will become harder. Decisions like this belong in Canadian hands and don’t need the input of groups like Amnesty or Ploughshare that would rather see innocents slaughtered at the hands of Putin’s irregular army than see the forces of freedom armed properly.

The UN in my oppinion should be disbanded. The UN servered it’s purpose and now is defunked, we are now in bed with our enemys— this is not good. I feel all the western world democracys should unite as ONE. We should not have to listen to Arab nations or dictator countries be implemented in our laws or beliefs. Justin Trudeau, like his father is a pacifist, his father in 1937 was a Nazi sympathizer up until the Nazi Germany invaded poland and at this time switched a complete turn about and became a comunist and a zomby during the 2nd war. Justin came by his social means honestly and this scares me. I to was a liberal up until half way through Justin’s father term which change Canada for ever. Justin siding with present day UN is not in good judgement with true Canadian feelings. It really ticks me off, that this government wants to delete bill C-42 and take away my rights to persue my hobby as a gun collector and shooter, did a lot of hunting when I was younger, and bill C-68, well this is still in my craw, it should be stricken down, but now under this goernment— fat chance.

Richard Vanderlubbe sorry Putin wants to control the Ukraine and he will do the same to Poland, and it is none of his damn business if the Ukraine wants to side with anyone, they are not his to control. And the people wanted the Russian puppet out, stick your tinfoil garbage.

Bingo Dan, I truly think that’s what is next. I hate to say it but Putin is doing all the right thing for now. Although my trust meter is low but on the other hand my trust meter is on zero with Trudeau and his globalists buddies,Soros and Gore.
It is easy to see what is happening, they will soon have us taxed to a point where we will be standing in bread lines and begging for the almighty government to save us and in turn enslave us. That pretty much is the plan in a nutshell. As far as what they are planning next, Steve, is a collision with Russia, I believe that Russian passenger jet was the start, we will find that in the coming months the US will ramp up " close calls " militarily to egg Russia into a conflict. The UN and the globalists are psychopaths and are trying for the 1 world government but Putin is standing in their way.

As hard as I work to try to understand geopolitics, and the players, I guess I just don’t have a clue what’s really going on, where or with whom…friend is foe, and next week foe is friend, black is white and bad is good. And then there’s all the misinformation…I suspect the confusion and uncertainty it creates is contrived for that reason. “Bullshit baffles the brains.” (a quote from a Toronto lawyer)
I do know that since the last two obstacles to a Totalitarian Global Fascist State were recently taken down – Tony Abbott and Stephen Harper – it’ll be free-for-all time out there now on good old planet Earth…the Fabian Socialists have won. End of game…even the idea of Western separation in Canada in today’s very troubled world seems like a hopeless and desperate measure. I guess it’ll just come down to protecting our own individual little patches for as long as we can…because this so-called UN Arms Trade Treaty will definitely impact our sovereign laws and rights and our GUN RIGHTS!!!!

No Russia just continues to help Iran develop nuclear weapons.

Trudeau on the world stage … what an embarrassment. That airhead wimpy man child is not PM material, let alone a world player. I will have to hide my face in shame for the next four years.

We’ve seen the West go into Russia’s backyard, not the other way around. I am no leftist, the pictures and information is out there, the Ukrainian coup was achieved by way of neo-nazi revolutionaries, just as was done in Syria with radical Muslim revolutionaries.

I don’t get the sense that people like Jason are willingly following George Soros, they just can’t believe our “free” governments could be so badly compromised.

I assure those who want to face-off against Russia, you’ve been duped. Don’t accuse me of being a leftist, as you follow the lead of Obama and George Soros, believing every bullshit narrative they’ve deposited in the weaponized mainstream media.

All lies Richard. These are not neo-Nazis fending off the KGB plant Putin. Leftists love to draw out the old ghosts of “Nazism” to distract us from the real issues. Russia under Putin is a kleptocracy that seeks to expand its interests at the expense of the West. He longs for the days of the Soviet Union, and is on record saying so. The only positive thing is the Russian people are a dying race, their population continually imploding, so we won’t have to deal with the Russkies for too long. Mark my word, in time Putin will be in possession of the Ukraine, Belarus, Georgia, and old Baltic States. Then he will drive into Poland, Romania, ect.

Soros directs our puppet leaders to arm Ukrainian neo-nazi groups, to arm Islamic extremists, says Canadians and Americans can’t be trusted to concealed carry, says it’s “racist” for white people to own guns, says we’re “racist” if we won’t accept his hordes of male Sunni “refugees”. The phony revolutionary movements are not solely for use in Eastern Europe and the Middle East; Soros also runs Idle No More and Black Lives Matter in North America. We are ALL under attack from this very sick globalist sociopath.

@ Richard – I guess I did not go back far enough in the thread and was reading things out of context. Sorry for the mixup.

No Netterville, it was Drew Wakariuk who says that NATO (Soros) “legally” overthrew Ukraine.

“Ukraine is not Putins country, his puppet was legally ousted”

The trouble started with George Soros and his “charities” getting in there, fomented this phony revolution. This is the same garbage you idiots pulled in Syria and Libya.
commented 2015-11-04 09:56:36 -0500
Richard, you keep saying Russia legally overthrew Ukraine. What is you mind make it legal?
commented 2015-11-04 09:48:56 -0500
What makes Putin better than George Soros? Well, did Putin fundraise for “moderate rebels” in Syria, Libya, and a host of other countries Does Putin say national borders are outdated?? Does Putin say the threat to a one world government is the sovereignty of the USA? I can’t believe I even have to point this stuff out.
commented 2015-11-04 09:35:42 -0500
The “legal” overthrow of Ukraine’s government was done for the final goal of building a missle defense system pointed at Russian nukes; The ONLY country to stand up and call “global warming” and “climate change” a fraud. The “legal” overthrow was set into motion by another one of Soros’ phony revolutions. I don’t give a shit if it was “legal”. Now Russia is there trying to secure their oil interests because they know Soros is in town.

Soros is Public Enemy #1. Repeatedly, you blind-followers of Soros have been WRONG. You fund the terrorists, your hubris has evolved to criminal negligence.

This is but the first surrender of Canadian sovereignty to the corrupt U.N. by that air-headed Prime Minister. He will follow that up with agreements on ‘climate change’ and ‘cap and trade’ that will allow an organization that is dedicated to destroying the west to instruct our country on what we can and cannot do. It is ’stupid’s’ agenda as it was his father’s to steer us down the path to a U.N. controlled world government. Congratulations all around to the fools who voted for another fool.

The next fourteen months, when Obama will be forced off the world stage, will be critical as to how much damage will be done in the Ukraine, the Middle East and Eastern Europe in total… And to NATO… Muslim “Barak Hussein Obama” will do as much damage as he can do, short of being impeached, or his senior military staff resigning en masse… In the meantime, our Castro-loving Prime Minister will adopt as many international socialist/UN treaties as he can ram down Canada’s throat, in memory of his dear old Dad….

Richard Vanderlubbe sorry but the Ukraine is not Putins country, his puppet was legally ousted, it is in their constitution and i have extended family there and the people did not want a Russian puppet. And Russia has Crimea back, why are they still there? And please tell me why they will invade Poland when Poland starts to frack?

The UN is making black market arms traders grossly rich. Sign all the feel good fluff you want, those who will fill the vacuum have no such silly ideas about war and peace.

Richard Vanderlubbe states, You teach boys to wear skirts at school, to use whatever bathroom feels good, you are the laughing stock of the world.

This is all the result of left wing Provincial Governments. Now our new leader, not yet crowned, is about to make mistake number two. Mistake number one was the withdrawal from the coalition. Now he wants to become more involved with the UN. This organization who run around in their shiny white vehicles, doing nothing, afraid that someone might shoot at them.
Remember, the EU who started life as just a free trade agreement. Now our new Boy King wants us to cuddle up to the UN, This is New World Order BS.

The U.N. is solidly islam controlled—as everyone should know by now.
islam is and has been the ENEMY since an arab crawled out of an Arabian sewer 1400 years ago, proclaimed himself a prophet and demanded everyone convert to islam—or be slaughtered. Now, 1400 years later, what has changed?
Well one thing has—the total inability of westerners to see muslims for what they are—-the enemy. And now the vacant idiot our leftist, imbecilic countrymen voted in as PM wants to follow the UN? Shows one thing—Canadians are indeed no smarter than Americans. (Nor are Albertans! Is it something in the water?

Why arm Ukraine, can’t you see that it’s just another one of that demon George Soros’ human sacrifice rituals? How many will you have to fall for ’til you see this is real.

Can’t start phony revolutions in Ukraine and Syria and continue to expect to not be attacked by Russia eventually. What danger you’ve put this country in just five short years. Now we praise the loser who wanted 10,000 Sunni extremists to come over on over…

Russia has said that “global warming” is a fraud and most Russians can get concealed carry permits. This isn’t the sixties, or Red Dawn, modern Russia is a more right-wing culture than pussy little Canada now… You teach boys to wear skirts at school, to use whatever bathroom feels good, you are the laughing stock of the world.

All the globalist puppet leaders look like asses, hypocrites, deceivers, are despised by their people, except one these days, and it’s not Stephen Harper or Justin Trudeau.

The reality is that a bunch of demented central bankers use socialism to hijack the role of government. They’ve looted us, thrown us to the door of World War Three… Time to slam on the brakes, arrest George Soros, and allow Russia to clean up the mess these psychopaths have made in Syria and Ukraine (and just about every other country).
commented 2015-11-03 20:19:58 -0500
Justin has so much experience in military matters why would anyone worry? ;-)

And the General he has under his wing was a pretty much despised guy in the unit I served in and I suspect our unit was not the only one

So all in all we are probably in “safe hands”. LOL

It would probably be something the effect, “I love your pec’s Vlad.”

Oh yay , we all know Justin will side with whatever makes Putin more effective. I sure would love to see Justin say something to Putins face like Harper did. Putin would laugh at the pathetic weasel.
