Infrastructure Minister asked to explain $835,000 office renos -- taxpayers won’t like his answer

Brian LilleyRebel Co-Founder

Way back on November 4, CPC MP Andrew Scheer put an Order Paper question to the Liberal government asking what was spent on renovating Ministerial offices.

It turns out quite a bit was spent, especially in the department of Minister of Infrastructure and Communities, Amarjeet Sohi.

How much? Well, more than a Canadian might pay for a brand new home.

Watch as I go through the details and remember, this was just one Minister’s office.

Wait until you hear how he justifies the huge expense and, as I like to say, hang on to your wallet.

The Liberals prove me right again when I say they are entitled to their entitlements.

Greg Sloan, I don’t think I agree with the Islamic part, but I definitely agree with the rest. I’m in construction and there is no way that something like those renovations should cost so much without something fishy going on. I know, I’ve been through this and it seems as though the details are exactly the same.

The sad part in all of this Canada is what do you teach YOUR CHILDREN. The younger generations are growing up watching all the corruption, deceit, scams in our government today with nothing being done about it. This will become an acceptable set of standards for them as well. Accountabilty is a thing of the past. Most politicians should be behind bars and yet they like to bend it until it breaks. Trudeau golden boy PM is the worst in all of this, a delusional whack job with know right to be called a leader in any form of the word. Wake up Canada we are being duped by a bunch of thieves. Not what Robin Hood would tolerate, more like the Big Bad Wolf. A new broom sweeps clean, throw this garbage to the curb.

I worked for the CEO of St. Boniface General Hospital in 1978 and he had an a nice office set up which had previously been the suite for the Bishop. He did not really like it but was loathe to spend ANY money changing it given that there were so many needs elsewhere. I learned from a LEADER who had INTEGRITY and knew what his role was and who he was there to serve. I became a CEO and followed his example. I saw, however, other peers who spent obscene amounts like $50K sprucing up their offices when patient care needs were all around them. Spending $850 K on two offices is cause for dismissal and a criminal investigation. Someone needs to explain to these Liberals that not only are there greater needs elsewhere but we don’t even actually have the money.

Dollars to donuts at least 30% of these funds will find their way back into the big spender’s pockets. Examine all the invoices and then have Canada Revenue check on the issuers of these. It shouldn’t be too difficult to get to the bottom of this unless the furniture was bought from a retailer in Islamabad.

pigs @ the trough this is only the beginning

Am I the only one who doesn’t understand what that guy, Amarjeet Sohi is saying ??
commented 2016-06-02 14:11:19 -0400
The better question is who did the renovating or who owns the business that supplied the furniture. It’s my guess that they are related. The Islamic take over is going to take a lot of money. Might as well use Canada’s money.

Darren Webb commented – “What this idiot should have spent money on was ESL classes”

Darren, I wonder how his French is ;-) But I don’t think his language skills have much to do with why this guy is where he is. BTW he was on Edmonton council so there goes your eastern liberals theory.

The job requires a civil engineer or urban planner, what we have is an ESL highschool (grad?) with the right multicult cosmetic optics and no practical experience in the portfolio – let’s watch what happens to “infrastructure” to justify a +3/4 million$ reno – this portfolio defines the operational mode of this government – all optics and no skills.

The pseudo-royals (our “natural rulers” as they call themselves) spend like royals and live like royals – all this at a time the Canadian middle class has been in shrinking for 3 decades – WYSIWYG

The only question you have to ask yourself when you see this kind of government profligacy , is: “Am I better off than my parents – can I retire and live comfortably for 20 years on what income I am left after tax?”

If the answer is no, you are a private sector worker, if it is yes, you have a government indexed pension, and you are the core of our economic nonsustainability

What this idiot should have spent money on was ESL classes so we can understand this bloody Hindu.
I wonder if the east is getting tired of screwing the rest of Canada because of their pathetic voting choice now.
The west’s vote is all but ignored everytime and we get stuck with trudope and his unintelligible money wasting cronies.
When will we the west get a say in who gets into power instead of being constantly being ripped off.
Between Trudope and Nutley here in Alberta we are completely screwed.
Things will definitely get worse before/if they get better.
I miss Harper, at least he had a set of balls. What we need here is someone like Trump to put an end to excessive entitled spending of my tax money for dumb shit like this.

Impossible! There must be corruption, kickbacks, and thievery going on in parliament. And why do we have (dishonest) foreigners governing Canadians? And why are all these anti-Canadian immigrants voting Liberal and who brought them in?

Cant wait for the resident leftist progressive fucktards to chime in with their rhetoric. OOOHHH…they will try to defend the the head narcissist JT.

another pig fell off the boat and into the deep end of the trough. new immigrants cannot handle our lifestyle and should not be allowed into Canada.

Probably 50% went to renovations, furniture and to some Indian brother scam artist like the ones featured on a CBC Marketplace episode that don’t really clean your ducts but charge you money for it. The other 50% went to another Indian brother for “translation services” perhaps. This prick can’t even speak legible English and he’s here spending our tax dollars on his comforts. That’s a long way from New Delhi you crook.

Infrastructure moves people or goods. This is not infrastructure spending at all. This is gross miss use of tax payers money.
commented 2016-06-01 22:11:34 -0400
I agree with Pat, I would request itemized receipts. Perhaps they refurbished their own homes too.
commented 2016-06-01 21:12:50 -0400
This is part of the infrastructure plan to stimulate and grow the economy. This was laid out in the Liberal Party of Canada platform for the 2015 election. It is only incidental that the Liberals themselves are benefitting from these expenditures. This is a common occurrence in government so I don’t see why people are getting all lathered up about this.

One has to wonder if any went in a pocket, Remember ad scam.
commented 2016-06-01 21:11:15 -0400
Yes see if you can get individual receipts and follow the money – I guarantee you will find some funny business going on.

Geez, he could have used the transition allowance he stole from Edmonton when he quit the municipal government to run for the federal
commented 2016-06-01 19:32:54 -0400
Appalling, disgusting, madening, outrageous and pure evil, and a so-called cabinet minister who can’t speak english. Oh, trudope, you are even dumber than I thought, and the liberanos are even worse stealers than I thought. Hope the conservatives keep hounding these liberals and don’t accept their answers at all.

Doug Mine said: "
I have to ask this question again. Of all the people who are now voicing their outrage at sunni ways & the libs, how many of you voted for them? There seems to be a lot from central & eastern canaduh who are now upset."

Well, actually “Duh” about sums it up for the eastern voters that put this travesty of a Gov’t into power!

90,000 paid BACK to the government, and even that was a greyed area as a number of mps are all in similar boats

Hey Sophi is still looking for donations for the liberal party.
Like I said before the election.Send them your name and that you were more than willing to support all their promises. That includes the migrants.SUCKERS.
Some one should have told them the meaning of infrastructure. An interpreter will help. Then explain it to the Liberals.
Makes me proud to be Canadian.
Wake up Canada.Dumb ass voters.

Lawrence O’Byrne: Did you have to remind me? I was trying to go a day without thinking about the Catcher’s Mitt.

As for Sohi I’m glad I’m not in his riding. Sign language would be needed to communicate.

I’m………Sad Again
