Yesterday, right before Barack Obama’s State of the Union Address, Iran seized two U.S. Navy vessels in the Persian Gulf and took ten sailors hostage. Not that the President felt the need to mention it...
One Obama official claimed the vessels had had mechanical problems. Two state of the art ships both had mechanical problems at the same time, that caused them to be captured?
What is far more plausible is that these heavily armed and well trained fighting men and women were given an order by a politicized commander, perhaps from Washington itself, to surrender without a fight.
Iran has just proved to their people and to the world they can make the greatest military power grovel.
I'll show you a picture of a captured female sailor. That American woman has had a hijab put on her head, a Muslim-style head covering. At least she wasn’t taken away and raped, as Iran has done to captured women in the past, like the Canadian photographer Zara Kazemi.
Iran made one captured sailor apologize on camera and thanking them for their wonderful hospitality. I’m going to guess that he’s saying that under duress.
But what about Obama’s excuse?
Here's today's BBC headline after the hostages were freed:
"US apologizes for Iran naval incursion."
There is no provocation, no humiliation, no act of war, no act of aggression that will make Obama defend the United States.
My first guest, Breitbart.com Senior-Editor-At-Large Joel Pollak, breaks down the top lies President Obama told during his last State of the Union address last night. Pollak noted that at the exact same time the sailors were being held hostage, Obama was claiming that no nation would dare to attack America.
We look at clips from the speech and contrast the truth with Obama's rhetoric. Pollak says Obama is "adrift from reality" on everything from the economy to terrorism.
Then Edmonton Sun Senior Columnist Lorne Gunter joins me with predictions about Alberta Premier Rachel Notley in 2016. Will she make smarter decisions about the province's energy sector, or provincial debt? Is it possible that the Alberta economy could actually get worse?
I point out that so many of the Alberta NDP MLAs are hardcore activists who never thought they'd get elected. Now that they're in power, and don't care about whether or not they'll be reelected, they're going to "double down" on their radical actions.
Finally, your letters to me -- including the reaction a viewer got when he suggested that his local Calgary radio station have me on as a guest; why I think there's a difference between a Sikh turban and a Muslim hijab as part of the RCMP uniform; and even a funny tip from my team here at the Rebel!
