The Libranos are back! By now you know how our tax dollars are being wasted whether it’s our limo loving Health Minister or our Climate Barbie Environment Minister, Liberals just can’t seem to help themselves.
I suppose this is to be expected when you bring together a cabinet based on gender parity and fill it with people who have very little private sector experience. It’s almost natural for people like Philpott and McKenna to enjoy feeding at the taxpayer trough.
But there’s one member of this Liberano cabinet that should know better since he has a wealth of private sector and business experience and that’s Finance Minister Bill Morneau.
Yet, thanks to an order paper by Conservative MP Guy Lauzon, it’s now been revealed that the Ministry of Finance spent nearly $160,000 on a three day photo shoot in Vancouver for Budget 2016 back in March.
I know Vancouver’s scenic and all but how can that much be spent on a three day photo shoot?
I hope he starts paying attention to the optics of his government's financial management of the country.
We’re about to go $35B in debt in the first year and some will point to Alberta's downturn with low oil prices, or the manufacturing industry struggles with sky high electricity prices in Ontario but it starts at the top.
There is a clear differentiation between the Liberals who refuse to cut entitlements and cabinet spending and how Canadians are adapting to a slowed if not halted economy.
But should we expect anything less from our Libranos?
