Islam critic Robert Spencer says he was delayed at airport for suspicion of 'hate speech' while refugees are pushed through

JihadWatch's Robert Spencer says he was delayed at a Toronto airport for three hours because he was suspected of being in possession of 'hate speech'.

Spencer explained in a speech how authorities went through his luggage and examined every little thing including his prescription medication.

He joked that by the time authorities pulled out a Koran “now they were getting to the hate speech.”

Eventually a coworker of the man going through Spencer's luggage came over and started asking him if he ever spoke in Europe. Spencer told the man where he spoke in Europe – including Germany, which shocked the man interrogating Spencer. “They have strict hate speech laws in Germany,” he said.

At that point, Spencer knew what all these delays were about.

“The idea that it would be hate speech to discuss the problems coming to Canada with the refugees and the problems that are inherent in Islamic doctrines that are pointed to by Islamic Jihadis everyday to justify violence and hatred – and that's hate speech? We live in an age that George Orwell would have thought was crazy,” Spencer told the room.

Keep in mind that while he was detained, 500 Syrians are pushed through a day, with a zero rejection rate.

Cathy Rochford commented – " I don’t know for sure who put Robert Spencer on a list but I’m almost certain it was a muslim from the government affiliated with Islamic muslims maybe even an organization like cair who support terrorism."

That seems to be the trend emerging in these cases of enforcement harassing JDL or pro- Israel supporters. What started as a Marxist witch hunt on campuses has now gone to a ful scale pogrom driven by Islamic terror sympathisers infiltrating the ranks of the bureaucracy and funded by the ever present Saudi radicalization centers. Jews should be very concerned because soon support for Isreal and speaking the truth about Islamic intolerant brutality will be a crime and vocal jews will be on some kind of police watch list and set up for harassment and entrapment – as was done to Spencer here.

I have never witnesses an post Vietnam Era Liberal government which did not engage in political witch hunts – this one will be no different – maybe worse.

Jay Kelly commented – “Was he treated badly?” He was treated"differently: and he was profiled – the two things Progs whine about when it happens to their pet victims groups. More worrying ( for anyone who actually gives a sxxt about democratic free societies any more) is that he was singled out for harassment because of his beliefs – another thing the stilted progs wail about but obviously have a double standard when it comes to people they may disagree with.

Jay Kelly commented – “Canadians have a right to expect security at the border. A wing-nut being held up for three hours does no seem unreasonable.”

Well we could argue all day about how bureaucrats and enforcers define “reasonable” . If you had listened to this man’s statement, you would see that the security officials apply security checks in an unequal manner and actually use it as a tool of abuse for political reasons. Basically it’s laughable to call this frivolous airport baggage rummaging “security” after the events of 9/1, IS street attacks and in light of the government’s own distain for security screening immigrants directly from terrorist held countries. I’d just be happy if authorities applied the law evenly without political bias -like we did prior to cultural Marxist pogroms.

Jay Kelly how is he a wingnut? oh he tells the truth you mean.

Jay Kelly, Check the meaning of malfeasance:
the performance by a public official of an act that is legally unjustified, harmful, or contrary to law; wrongdoing (used especially of an act in violation of a public trust).
Is Robert Spencer a public official? Or has he violated a public trust? I don’t think so. What he does is explain Islam to people. Should be no biggie, but it seems to be.

Nathan W does that mean the Jews get to go around killing people as well? Oh sorry if i made you think about something and not be a hypocrite.

Nathan W reporting and responding to their actions is not fear mongering and sorry but all the left wing ass kissing has not stopped anything.

Oh, look, Girdle Steele is posting as Ezra Left Ant. It was kind of obvious since all he posts is one big flatus expulsion. Be warned one and all, he brought down the comments section of the publication the real Ezra used to write for, single handed; well, with a lot of aliases. His stink is unmistakable.

I agree Deborah and Cathy. When I think of people out protesting in the streets over the invasion of their freedoms with Bill C-51 and all of this is going on under our noses without mainstream media coverage. People should be concerned about the real erosion of their rights or tomorrow you might find your name on a list if it isn’t already for simply expressing opinions contrary to the totalitarian establishment. The media is very complicit on these issues. Just tonight I saw a story on CTV presenting Zunera Ishaq as the mildl mannered victim of the Niqab controversy, But wait CTV was the one network that I saw run an interview with Tarek Fatah where he described her links to radical Islam. I kept it on the station the day it aired and after one airing I never noticed it again. I might have missed it or more likely it got yanked, and now they are presenting her as the victim who didn’t play into politics but held her ground on an issue important to her. This is one of the very few mediums presenting the other side of the story and it is important we try to spread the message to a greater audience and that we hold the government to account when they step over their legal boundaries. If a person is being accused of a crime I believe we have a right to confront our accusers. If not then we are entitled to live without harassment.

Edward Jobin, I don’t know for sure who put Robert Spencer on a list but I’m almost certain it was a muslim from the government affiliated with Islamic muslims maybe even an organization like cair who support terrorism. They have absolutely no rights to prevent anyone from speaking on any topic. People (most likely muslims) here in Canada are always criticizing Christianity. Isn’t this hate speech against the original religion in this nation? This is corruption and ass backwards and also demonstrates how much those muslim supremist bastards are doing everything they can to have their sharia law and islam be the supreme religion in Canada. These are the reasons everything in the west is looking upside down and so insane lately. Islamic zealots and imams want to conquer the west but they would look you straight in the eye and deny this if they were questioned. This type of deviant behaviour has to stop and all muslim supremists have to be put in their place. This is criminal activity and treasonous. I am so tired and fed up with all of it that it makes me want to vomit. Lets get some legal personnel in the opposition party to have this thoroughly investigated and stopped now.

Did you hear the about the farmer that got his land for free from his daddy, got the tax payers to pay for over half his crop insurance premium, and drives his truck on tax payer roads with purple gas….He calls himself a capitalist!!! lol, when we all know he wouldn’t survive without all the benefits of socialism he gets daily.

Edward Jobin – I would imagine the Muslims in charge of Junior’s entourage are the suspects here.
commented 2015-12-15 11:32:34 -0500
I will repeat myself. I would love to know who put Robert Spencer’s name on a list to be investigated and for what real or imagined offense. This is important because if anyone can be “reported” and marked for simply expressing contrary opinions or questioning issues we all could end up illegitimately on watch lists. If people were expressing a desire for death or violence it would be justified but if not it would seem to me that someone in power is abusing their authority and it needs to be exposed and the people behind it held to account. To allow this kind of abuse of power to go unchecked will only encourage further transgressions.

Robert Spencer is the most knowlegeable person on Islam. Yes Trudeau’s Canada is a left wing Gestapo gov’t!
commented 2015-12-15 11:28:12 -0500
Of course they hassle the man that states the truth about what is really going on in mosques, because Junior and his beasts will now target anything Christian, and will incite hatred against us, and will use our government agencies to snoop and track us. PM Harper’s leadership is sorely missed, and much needed, now that we have a narcissistic freak without any conscience in office.

What a joke! Imams who preach hate in mosques are ignored by our authorities, yet this guy is hassled by them.

Nathan W, “Try being a good neighbour, and lay off with the hateful fearmongering, and we`ll all be a lot safer.”
Safer? You think so? I bet it’s safe to say that Christians in the Middle East were good neighbours of Muslims once upon a time. So, what happened there? Did they just happen to piss off ISIS?

According to Nathan W.
“The Bible is at least as bad as the Qur’an when it comes to crazy stuff…”

The Bible is made up of histories and letters by many authors and is open to interpretation and discussion.

The Koran is the direct word of God called Allah by way of the angel Gabriel and was revealed to only one man the prophet Mohammed a murderer, thief, and pedophile.
The Koran is to Muslims what the “Daily Orders” posted outside of the orderly room door are to soldiers in the army.
The Koran is not open to interpretation or discussion. There are many passages which call for attacks on unbelievers and
name Christians and Jews as targets. The Koran orders Muslims to attack all non-Muslims until there are none left, but Muslims (or the slaves of Muslims) left in the world. The history in the Bible contains specific targets and does not order a total destruction of all non-Christians.

What is even crazier is the fact that the violent passages in the Koran abrogate or cancel out the peaceful passages in the Koran. This is the Koran doctrine of “abrogation” which is stated in the Koran. The passages which were written later in the life of the prophet Mohammed, cancel out or abrogate the passages which were written earlier in the life of the prophet Mohammed.

The Koran passage “let there be no compulsion in religion” quoted by President Barak Obama who was educated as a Muslim in Indonesia, is made totally void and invalid by the “Verse of the Sword” which was written later in the life of the prophet Mohammed.

Telling lies to non-Muslims is acceptable in the Koran. True friendship with non-Muslims is forbidden by the Koran.
All of the liberals who talk about their “Muslim friends” are dreaming in technicolor.

No Nathan W. there is a lot crazier and more lethal stuff in the Koran than there is in the Bible. All religions are not the same. That is a fact!

When I say read the Koran you can interpret that to mean a translation of the Koran. The book is not a Koran unless it is written in Arabic. Most Muslims can not read the Koran because they can not read Arabic. Quebec is not the only place that has language bigots.

Nathan W., " try to be a good neighbor" ? Isn’t that what the neighbors of the two terrorists did in San Bernadino? The terrorist’s co-workers threw him and his wife a baby shower! I know you are trying to spin this story because the facts are hard for Liberals to comprehend. Like Hillary and Barrack, Justin will have blood on his hands also.

“The Bible is at least as bad as the Qur’an when it comes to crazy stuff, unless you get rid of the Old Testament and the Revelation.

Get rid of the Revelation. It’s an embarrassment to the legacy of Christ."

So in your words the doctrine of Christianity is just as bad as Islam, yet when mean things are said about Christians, they don’t go and kill in the name of their religion. Therefore, why is it that by and large there is only one group of people who will kill innocent people because of words? I don’t think they’re killing because of words, but it was you who made the claim.

I also have to ask if Robert Spencer was targeted for some kind of investigation without justification where was the judicial oversight?
commented 2015-12-14 22:23:18 -0500
There is something he said I am curious about. Does the Canadian government look at facebook posts when vetting immigrants? If so what do they do about them? The reason I am asking is we have seen people mentioned here who have been linked to Radical Islam and yet nothing seems to have been done about it. Why not? It would also be interesting to be able to follow the money trail from money won in law suits.
