Joe Oliver BLASTS Trudeau over Liberals' war on Canada's energy industry

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

I told you earlier about Liberal Montreal Mayor Denis Coderre's dumb opposition to the Energy East pipeline.

Former Finance Minister Joe Oliver joins me to talk about all the other ways Trudeau and his Liberal allies are undermining Canada's energy industry.

Oliver talks about the need to expand our oil and gas exports to other markets, which we can't do if we keep blocking pipelines.

But first: Facebook's new Online Civil Courage Initiative says it's about "combating extremism and hate speech on the Internet.”

Do they mean Islamic State terrorists using social media to recruit terrorists? Of course not!

One Civil Courage spokesperson said:

"This is necessary because right-wing extremism, racism and antisemitism are present in all walks of life in Germany.”

Really? Did a thousand white pride skinheads in Cologne, Germany go on a mass sexual assault spree?

Are you worried about more Muslim rape sprees taking place? From now on, when you try to type about it, Facebook will block you. They won't censor the Islamic State, though. Just "right wing extremists." Which they define as people who disagree with them...

Critics call those of us who've called for a "pause" in the number of refugees coming to Canada "racists" and "haters."

But what will they say now that even migrant service centres are calling a "pause" on the influx of migrants?

Brian Lilley had the story earlier this week and now he and I talk about the ramifications.

Finally: My viewer mail! I give out my contact information at the conclusion of each program, but you can also add your comments below!

READ Brian Lilley's book CBC Exposed -- it's been called "the political book of the year.”

Trudeau’s Liberals MUST halt plans to bring in thousands of Syrian refugees
until they can guarantee the safety of the Canadian people.

I thought it was a bit rich that Joe Oliver critized the anti-oil sands Left his government had years to discredit, but chose not to.

Moreover, I recall thinking his government was enabling the left to tie things up, etc.

I found it very irritating.

As far as Oliver goes, he had his chance to get pipelines built and Harper threw Alberta under the bus and appeased the treehuggers, Indians, the foreign money that they were taking and anyone else who squeaked in the slightest way against pipelines.
Have you even read anything in the papers other than the Comics section? Under the rules laid out at Confederation, PM Harper could have approved the pipelines as a federal necessity, but he chose to try and work with all the wingnuts on the left. The provinces have recourse in this matter, but the federal government has always cow-towed to them to try and retain power

I am just listening to the radio now—-and Lowell Green says Alberta has been kind enough to give 50 Billion dollars to Quebec in transfer payments. Not all from Alberta —but most. and now Quebec, mainly Montreal ,is stopping Alberta oil from going to the refineries in the Maritimes. Where is Justin?

Sam Young are you feeling alright?

Don’t get mad at me but— with oil prices the way they are and with the ‘Transfer payments’ to all the ‘Have-Not’ Provinces—- Would it not give you Albertans , a small amount of satisfaction—- to say "Sorry , pas de l’argent " .

About the only route left is a pipeline from Fort Mcmurray to Valdes Alaska of some 1200 miles. Going from Ab. to the NWT and the Yukon cuts BC out of the equation and would allow Northern Aboriginals jobs as well as Alberta. From what I have heard, Alaska has a tanker loading facility running at 25% capacity. Also maybe extend a rail line to Alaska and maybe a gas pipeline for Alaska gas. That should be enough incentive for Alaska’s cooperation. Too there is a huge iron deposit 50 miles west of Manning that with the addition of a blast furnace and a rolling mill could supply the pipe and rail.

Great show as usual Ezra – as for Facebook censorship maybe you should help us all find new accounts elsewhere on Social Media where we’re not going to be victimized by the ‘social justice warriors’ – shouldn’t be too difficult. As for Shiny Potty justin I’m afraid he just does not have the good of Canada in mind for any of his actions and from the outcome of the last election I don’t think most Canadians do either – and I used to think that Canadians were smart intelligent people but I am being greatlly disillusioned by whats happening.

Earlier this week, I had the opportunity to meet a guy who worked in the oil fields. He confirmed that the Alberta NDP has completely ruined the oil industry in Alberta. He also added that Brad Wall is a very intelligent man. I asked him if he ever heard of the rebel, and he said no. I told him about the coverage the rebel does on Alberta and the oil fields, and he said he will check out this website. I think it would be great if the rebel could interview some actual oil workers to give us their story.

Hey duh Silva – calling yourself Michael Mann, you dirty little coward, go back to your hole, no one wants to hear from you, or discuss anything with you.

I find your Diary very enjoyable to read. It takes you a while to put it together so I just wanted to say, well done!

Michael Mann wrong again, you seem to be good at being wrong LOL!

Gord Day i quit using FB a while back, life goes on without it. I lived without it for over 40 years, never needed it then or now.

Is Joe Oliver; the former Finance Minister; not a voice of reason?

Ezra’s been interviewing so many wingnut PCers, eco-nuts, and Irrationals lately that it’s amazingly refreshing to listen to someone that you can actually have a conversion with and rationalize with; without them being a whacked-out, head-in-the-clouds, unicorny ideologue.

@ Micheal Mann
I’m willing to bet that this is a made up poster by the rebel staff to keep some posting counts up. Nobody could be that ignorant and stupid without a group effort. Sheesh.

Michael Mann, I was able to download the book yesterday and will tell you it is only 64 pages long, so it is possible to read the entire contents in an hour or so. Once you read the book, you will see it was written by Sheila Gunn Reid. Go to www.thedestroyers.ca and scroll down. You can download it right onto your computer which I did and I have read 42 pages so far, just reading off and on. I haven’t listened to Ezra’s entire show, so I don’t know what he said about any e-mail he got.

Trudeau has a far more lucrative replacement for tax revenue from the oil sands. It’s called the Canadian taxpayer.

Great exposing show Ezra, every Canadian need s to be informed like this even the Socialists’, I’m betting there many old time Liberals , NDP and CCF out there who would not approve of the fascism our Canadian Governments’ all Federal, Alberta, Quebec and Manitoba, NWT et-al who would not approve of the Fascist games these people are playing with our Democracy!
commented 2016-01-21 22:17:44 -0500
MM…what are you on about?…I downloaded it this morning….excellent work, and frightening for Albertans…I intend to send to everyone I know there…
commented 2016-01-21 21:58:40 -0500
MM- The book is very factual and well documented. Sheila has done a great job pointing out the sordid facts about this wrecking crew of nutbars that are taking our province down
commented 2016-01-21 21:30:01 -0500
I would be willing to bet that “John” is a fake letter and Ezra just used the feedback part of the show to whore out Sheila’s book.

People have claimed that they didn’t get their book yet – after it was just announced, but “John” got his book already and read it quickly in addition to being shocked by the information that the mainstream media is not reporting.

I am calling bullshit on that – it totally comes across like Ezra wrote it.

“It takes so long to get things done in Canada”
– well, lets privatize the public sector and open the union books to public scrutiny. What the heck. Maybe we can shrink government more and immigrate less, to keep the unemployment the same. For Pete’s sake Canada, lets not invite to pay for others before we eliminate our own unemployment. ARE WE NUTS ???

Yep, pre-election Justin promised that he will be here for Alberta!! More likely he will complete daddy’s unfinished deed, bequeathed to a halfwit son. Alberta is but the toilet paper awaiting a meeting with a Trudeaus’ arse!

Dear Diary;
It’s been just wonderful here in the Alps at the Money for Celebrities Awareness meeting. This is where world leaders and celebrities get the opportunity to be seen and photographed while they hobnob with me.
Naturally I assumed the role of Keynote Address Speaker; because I always enjoy these opportunities to impress other people with my intellect and ability to throw a few zingers at Stevie. That never gets old, especially when he’s not around to defend himself.
When I heard “keynote” I thought notes and keys, and then I thought; music. Then I thought; I should sing, just like Sophie did. I caught a little bit of her doing that, it must have been on Canada’s Got Talent or something but my modesty prevailed. Instead I talked about things like Canada’s great financial stability since I took over the spending and what a great bunch of kids there are at the University of Waterloo
and how they’re inspiring other Ontario colleges like Niagara and Algonquin
Leonardo DiCaprio and George Soros want to chat with me, about the weather I think, but probably just want to take a selfie with me, and there’s something about a “Fourth Industrial Revolution” (I’m not sure what that is) and a “Sharing Economy” (I think I might know what that is) anyway, a lot going on, but Gerald will explain everything to me later.
By far the best part was when we got the result of a survey for which country was the best in the world. We came in just behind Germany. Obviously Germany had to be the best, because it’s greatness has attracted over a million, decent, hard-working, young men who only want to be a part of creating a better society for the womenfolk. If only McCallum would climb back on the wagon and get his ass in gear, maybe next year we’ll be number one.

You notice it’s ONLY Canada shutting down oil? The US isn’t, they’re growing, ditto for Russia, Middle Eastk Venezuela, etc. We will lose out on customers like China and India and the improved relations, the construction jobs, the ongoing jobs, the personal taxes, the corporate taxes and on and on. Trudon’t is wrecking everything.

The Facebook story is very disconcerting. I wonder if someone will take them to court. They’re thought of as a private co. but they have publicly held shares and are SO big, they have certain responsibilities!

It’s totally unfair to the refugees to bring them here! Several on CBC, when asked, said they knew absolutely NOTHING about Canada. Don’t you think they should be able to make an informed choice? They’ll be completely mystified. What do you mean no Sharia Law? I don’t get it!! What do you mean girls are equal – that’s STUPID! Girls can’t be equal to MEN!!! Are you inSANE?!?! Girls equal, yeah right!!

Lefty’s are psychotic!!
