Canada has 73,000 kilometers of oil and gas pipelines.
Canada has 49,000 kilometers of railroad.
Without adequate pipelines, oil must ship by rail.
We all know what happens when a train derails, especially if it’s carrying oil or other dangerous stuff.
And how often do we hear of train derailments? Far more often whan we hear of pipeline leaks, even though there’s 50% more pipe than rail.
Moving oil through pipe is far cheaper than rail, and probably causes less CO2 emissions as well.
And yet people don’t want pipe. Makes no sense at all.

Alberta needs to have a referendum & leave.

That’s exactly what we need. Why don’t I hear the Wildrose standing up and calling for one. Are they too busy trying to cut deal with the slow motion NDP party.

Does anybody on here know what the S.C.N. is? Well it is the Strong Cities Network. It is United Nations S.C.N.. Can anybody on here connect the dots? Montreal signed on to the U.N. – S.C.N. and now they are against energy East Pipeline. Connecting any dots yet? They (Montreal Mayor) are following orders from the U.N. and so is the Prime Minister. The socialist elites are putting their people in place to destroy Canada’s resource and energy industry. Think not? Well you are either willfully ignorant or completely naive.
- “Those of us who are backing the Climate Finance Leadership Alliance are making sure that when these cities are forced to respond to climate change, they are able to do so at the scale and speed that’s needed.” – WWF response to UN Climate Change summit.
Time to figure out what’s really going on.

Gerald Butts IS our Prime Minister. Justin Trudeau is his sock puppet.

Socialists, who subscribe to communism, have the desire to make the rich fewer.
Conservatives, who subscribe to capitalism, have the desire to make the poor fewer.
It’s then intuitively obvious that socialists are driven by greed and envy, and that conservatives are driven by greed and compassion.

John Vossos said, “I am old, I am pissed, but it doesn’t really matter anymore. My time is almost up and unlike the wonderful folks at the REBEL, I will not waste any what is left of my time and money trying to make changes for the better to benefit a population of ingrates and entitled twats”

I hear ya! I am old and pissed off too, especially at those who voted for the Alberta NDP (and even more so who still stick to their guns claiming the Alberta economic crash has nothing to do with the NDP), but also those who voted in our brain dead puppet PM. However, I will still continue in whatever way I can to try to stem the flow towards the immorality and corruption the left-wingers are so intent of inflicting upon Canada. If we could get rid of Notley and her “let’s destroy Alberta and laugh about it” crew then I would whole support some initiative to separate Western Canada (or at least Alberta) from the rest of Canada.

Enjoy your retirement, John Vossos! Good luck to you.

Thanks for that Ezra.
John Vossos’ comment, I’ll second that.
There will be pain, through pain ones learns.
If they’re lucky, really lucky, they’ll learn before it’s too late.
Europeans are learning. Is there still time?

I think I’ll start calling the PM Selfie – Wally Butts tag team, Bevis and Butthead – seems apropos given the stunted intellects and tunnel vision of these two.

When you hear a Lib-left dogmatist start yammering about retooling the “economy” prepare for the equal redistribution of poverty. No leftist government has ever improved on the innovation that comes from a free market demand economy. Butts’ alternate economy (forced demand or command economics) is the type of centralized forced austerity we saw in the old soviet union and eastern block where the people virtually starved in the midst of resource wealth because their central economic “planners” hadn’t the skill or intelligence to run a free market resource based economy to build the secondary value added economy which redistributes the wealth and supplies demand.

All these neo-soviet magicians think they can conjure up a vibrant economy without the participation of private sector for-profit incentive – like Chavez, this think they can just legislate and force it into being ( how well did that work for Chavez – poverty in the midst of resource wealth). Butts is too vacant and economically myopic to understand certain elemental principles of economic realities -such as; no mater how he would like ineffective, impractical green technologies to replace fossil fuel tech efficiency and reliability, it won’t happen until the technology itself evolves – the better mouse trap will never be built when the old easily broken mouse trap receives government subsidy and captive markets.

The proper economic plan would be to pursue interim technologies which use fossil fuel but are highly fuel efficient and emission friendly – until battery tech, solar tech and other technologies like super-conductor or Tesla’s radiant energy collector can efficiently provide the energy and reliability of current technologies.

Butts thinks we can jump from the stone age to the star trek age b in one leap – because he still buys the old hippy mythology about the 100mpg carburetor being kept secret by GM – for him some evil corporate giant is hiding the magic “dilithium chrystals” from us – all he has to do is destroy the capitalist economy looking for them – then utopia happens and he will become the ruler of a green Vulcan

Butts – appropriately named.

Most Canadians will get what they deserve. Some will avoid paying the price, as always. I will never forgive my fellow countrymen (AKA the free-shit crowd) for voting in a feckless, nincompoop as the front for the criminal French elements in this sorry-assed country. I am old, I am pissed, but it doesn’t really matter anymore. My time is almost up and unlike the wonderful folks at the REBEL, I will not waste any what is left of my time and money trying to make changes for the better to benefit a population of ingrates and entitled twats. Thank you, thank you very much.

Alternative economy = wealth transfer back to Demarais and Dussault Montreal families.

The wealth in Canada has largely been controlled out of Montreal. This is why Pete Trudeau murdered oil in the 1980s in Alberta – to maintain this control on the orders of Demarais and Dussault – the same families that financed Trudeau into power.

This is the exact same war going on today by the same party and by Pete Trudeau’s offspring (could be Keith Richards offspring too – we still don’t know).

PM Butts is just talking liberal obfuscation – Alternative Economy = the destruction of Alberta oil and the return of financial control of Canada back to Montreal and the Demarais and Dussault families. Voters think about the country. The ruling classes think about their financial control over the country.

Get the difference? Amazing that voters of Canada chose the financial destruction of Canada’s West – again.

Amazing how western politicians like Notley (Canada’s real Hitler) can be bought off for control and the murder of their own homeland.
