Justin breaks record number of promises, Media Party yawns: It's McGuinty redux

Brian LilleyRebel Co-Founder

We've been talking for months about the ridiculous Liberal promise to bring in 25,000 refugees by December 31, 2015, which became the first Liberal promise broken, but that of course isn’t the only one.

The latest has to do with immigration and Trudeau's promise to double immediately the number of family reunifications accepted as part of our immigration system. They’ve already gone back to the old target.

There was the promise to run small, deficits, of $10 billion a year which is now out the window with some estimating the annual deficits could hit $25 million a year.

Plenty of Canadians voted for the Liberals due to their promise to do away with community mailboxes and bring back door to door delivery. Is that happening? Nope. They’ve put a moratorium on new community mailboxes but haven’t said if they’ll restore service.

What about the CF-18s coming home? Two months after taking power the jets are still there with no signs the bombing will end soon. Asked about it time and again, the Liberals will not commit to ending the bombing.

Canadians were also promised that the Canada Pension Plan would be enhanced. That won’t happen any time soon either because the provinces were not on board and you can’t change the pension without the provinces. Just ask the old government.

Justin Trudeau and his Liberals promised to do everything different from the way that Stephen Harper and his Conservatives did.

We do have more selfies with the PM and more stories about the PM doing selfies with ordinary Canadians instead of Harper just actually meeting and talking to people without the news release and media fanfare.

But on a host of promises Trudeau is behaving just like harper without being called out for it.

He’s also reminding me of Dalton McGuinty who made hundreds of promises and didn’t fulfil most of them though he did follow through with his progressive plans that have wrecked wrecked the economy, unscathed by the media or the public.

My fear during the election was that Justin Trudeau would do the same and get the same pass from the media.

I warned for a long time that if you liked what Dalton McGuinty had done for Ontario then you would love Trudeau and what he would do for Canada. I hate being right but looks like this time, once again I was. He's breaking promises left and right but his push to wreck the economy will continue.

Do you think maybe, these promises should have been vetted during the campaign rather than cheered on by the media?

Our politics are becoming a joke, and it’s mostly our own fault. The Republi-Cons get in and everyone cries that they are the next Nazis (and are mostly correct), the Lib-Tards get in and everyone cries lies lies lies until the REAL scandals come out, and where the NDP have won everyone complains they they are doing what they said, but it costs too much.

I need to move to an actual socialist country in Europe, this childish North American crap is getting old.

This from CARP: CARP members ‘outraged’ finance ministers will not move CPP reform forward: In a December 2015 poll of more than 3,000 CARP members, the vast majority (84%) are outraged (36%), angry (27%) or upset (21%) that the federal, provincial and territorial finance ministers have decided to forestall any action on enhancing CPP.

Bravo Zulu, you said exactly what I was thinking. Go after him on issues that matter. Not for things you want him to fail at.

Drew,

And that’s what you want – so he doesn’t get re-elected. Why are conservatives here pretending to be disappointed?

Michael, the conservative voter does not want Canada to fail. Just read the comments here or other media blogs to see that. It is Trudeau, Wynne and Notley and their supporters that want to destroy Canada. You are part of that support so go look in the mirror and ask yourself why.

Justin Trudeau. The great pretender, is not only breaking promises he is breaking Canada. This child is only capable of thinking of one thing at a time and that is his promise to overload Canada with the political dogma of Islam. He dose not care about Canadians. His Controllers want complete control of the population. He will achieve this for them, if we allow it. His Muslim Brothers will be happy, for a while.
Evil times are ahead, Canadians have elected a Puppet PM.

PM selfie is about all I expected – the party-connected potentates (AKA the Libranos) run the country while the empty hair-do goes out to wank off the rubes on an endless self-promotional run. A great diversionary tactic, send the brain-dead rockstar narcissist out for PR, turn off media scrutiny by buying silence/favor, while the party plunders the nation’s wealth and builds a corporate patronage clientele as Parliament is returned to a political influence brokerage again – and insider scandals and administrative corruption will peak at levels we have never experienced before – because media-lobotomized entitled eastern selfies have effectively turned Canada into a banana republic with free wifi.

Michael Mann he is the one breaking the promises loser. Now go cry like a baby. Justin is a lying POS dictator.

This is just step one. Next comes the complete villification of any one remotely connected with Harper and his policies, just like was done with Harris. Then the scare tactics that any Conservatives will take away any entitlements the Liberals have handed out. The old bogeyman of big oil, big corporations, the one percenters, the “fight for the middle class”,and how green the Liberals can be. The media, unions, and low information voters will keep them there for years.

It’s not like you want Justin to do a good job and be proven wrong. You are so disingenuous. You WANT him to break every promise possible, so he doesn’t get re-elected.

They called McGuinty the tephlon man and it looks like Justin has the same coating. You don’t have look to far to find the problem with Canada and Ontario, it’s te unions. They are the Cancer that are destroying the country within. The Ontario Teachers Union is one that comes to mind. The motor cycle gangs were broken up in this country and the same should be done to the unions. They are the problem controlling and destroying everything behind the scenes.

Look – stop with hitting him on the refugee issue for numbers NOT brought in.

Stop with hitting him on Grandpop and Grandmom numbers not let in.

Otherwise he WILL do it to spite us all.

We know the gay boy with nice hair is a dick head and a total idiot.

However – he is also stupid enough to throw the doors open.

We cannot afford a bunch of old people and we cannot afford the welfare costs – so just be happy he is screwing it up.

Hit him on all the other schitte and shut up and just be happy he and his cabinet are screwing up the new welfare recipient additions that the media call refugees.

Well almost all of the Liberal campaign promises were opposite of the Conservatives, so I’m not sure why they are complaining that the Liberals haven’t followed through with them yet. Yet is the key word here, because most of the promises require new laws to be passed or old laws to be repealed and that my Conservative friends, takes time.

Liberals always lie. Nothing new here.

Is it just me or is that picture reminding others of the “Charlie X” character from the Star Trek TOS episode?
