Justin Trudeau owes Martha Hall Findlay an apology: He's still clueless about the middle class

Marissa SemkiwRebel Commentator

Remember when Former MP and Liberal leadership candidate Martha Hall Findlay pointed out, to much scorn, during the leadership debate that Justin Trudeau was simply out of touch with the middle class?

Back then, Findlay was widely criticized by the media and on social media, for her mean comments.  But was she wrong?

Justin Trudeau talks an awful lot about the middle class.

But incident after incident would suggest he is completely out of touch on that issue.

For instance, Trudeau criticized the Federal Conservatives' plan to double the limit to $10,000 for tax-free savings account contributions. Why? Because apparently only the "rich" use TFSAs.

Except according to the Department of Finance, the vast majority of those taking advantage of TFSAs -- some 11 million Canadians -- are lower to middle income earners.

That's one-third of the country, not just "the one-percenters."

Poor boy. He’s really making the NDP look like they’re original thinkers.
Learn from history, Fluffy. Some may “speak softly and carry a big stick” but in your case you should whisper because speaking softly gets you in trouble and you don’t have a stick. Think Seinfeld and the pirate shirt episode

Pooooor Justie! We pick on him so much here. But it is just so much fun as he sets himself up for ridicule over and over again. How can we resist?

the only thing that zoolander knows about the middle class is that neither he nor anyone that he knows is part of it.

Barry Kelly; I understand what you are saying but what did Trudeau. The dead one, not the brain dead one, do for the country? He introduced us to Multiculturalism. This is already starting to break this Country up and look what it has done for Europe. The Trudeau’s were and are, just a waste of space.

Abusing two $50 words in an incoherent 2 bit answer does not make Trudeau look smart or in touch with the economic reality of the middle class. Further, his two definitions are nonsense. If you are living paycheck to pay check you are just as likely to be poor as you are middle class but many “rich” people live paycheck to paycheck and go bankrupt. People who live off savings and assets are just as likely to be retired as they are 1%ers or Trust Fund babies like Trudeau. Yes, most people who work for a living are middle class, but so are the working poor and many rich people who have not built an asset that does not tie their time to maintaining their income still work for a living. I know people who financially are middle income who have figured out how to disassociate time from income. I also know wealthy people who put in 60 to 80 hour weeks to maintain the endurance of their income. I do not associate with anyone who has not had to build their wealth and if they are like Trudeau, I don’t want to.

I would tell Justin that CPP is a bad investment for Canadian citizens (good for big government) and that I can invest my TFSA’s to get a better return than I do on CPP. Justin do the math!

I had respect for Pierre Trudeau even though I greatly differed with his politics and I never voted Liberal. At least in my opinion, he was quite intelligent and was generally not afraid to answer a question or take decisive action. In Justin’s case, however, the apple fell a long way from the tree, rolled into a ditch and was washed away in a rainstorm. The man is demonstrably an empty suit, with an empty head throwing around a small selection of empty rhetorical phrases that his handlers hope will mask his lack of real knowledge about anything relevant. If he is ever elected as PM then we all better pray that there are some much sharper individuals pulling his strings and that he learns to lip-sync the words being spoken by the man behind the curtain. If he actually became in charge we would be in mega trouble as a country.

Can you guys post in the description what third-party videos you used? For instance the info-cartoon from “desjardins”, it’d be easier to find it if you included a link to the video

I’m afraid Trudeau is clueless about everything, except how to cheat charity’s out of speaking fees to hear a dimwit spout off about nothing.

TSA’s are a better savings tool for the lower income earners than RSP’s. If you are already in a lower tax bracket you don’t gain much by deferring a tax bill with an RSP and when you do retire the moneys your receiving from the RSP’s may cause a claw back on the moneys you would have received from OAS and GSI programs. RSP’s are actually more beneficial to the rich because you can defer taxes on higher income to when you retire and have less income.

Troodo is um-um-um-uh-uh-uh just a stupid man-child. You want this fraud pig as your PM Canada, go for it. And get ready to watch your taxes go through the roof.
In the end, Troodo is um-um-um-uh-uh-uh is going to get the beating of his life in October.

Trudeau’s handlers have told him to target the middle class but he doesn’t know how to define what the term means. He doesn’t care. He and his handlers count on most ordinary Canadians thinking we are middle class and because his party is “for” the middle class, voting for him.

But that may backfire on him. He says the TSA increases will benefit only the rich. “Gee whiz”, all thrifty lower and middlle-class Canadians will say, "I must be rich then!! Guess I’ll vote Conservative cuz Justin says Conservatives are are “for” the rich."

But seriously, Trudeau wants to scrap the TSA increases and increase mandatory CPP deductions because he thinks ordinary Canadians are too stupid and too morally corrupt to save voluntarily, to plan our lives creatively, to manage our own finances and, in the end, to manage our own lives.

Trudeau is like Kim Un in that both are basic dictators.

This guy is not Prime Minister oriented he will take Canada down the road to Poverty!
His associate Gerald Butts works in unison with the Democrat Party in America and we will end up with a huge welfare deposit just like Obama’s America with our jobs shipped to third world countries and no jobs in Canada! Trudeau has no wisdom of Middle class or what it is to be a wage earner as he has a nice estate cheque that comes in every month left by his Socialist Leftist father Piere Elliot Trudeau, as speaking engagements and acting classes he did were simply extra cash for Trudeau!
Trudeau has no idea of what it is to be a working man with a family!
