At Kinder Morgan Trans Mountain pipeline hearings, anti-oil protesters condemn... Trudeau

Christopher WilsonRebel Commentator

Marc Schenker and I went to Burnaby to cover the National Energy Board (NEB) hearings into the Kinder Morgan TransMountain pipeline expansion.

Do those who oppose the expansion really represent the will of most Burnaby citizens?

While some First Nations intervenors raised practical and logical concerns, others engaged in fear mongering.

We also interviewed some of the protesters outside, including the usual radical "professional activists." Some might be surprised to learn that some of their ire was directed at Prime Minister Trudeau, who'd campaigned on a promise to end NEB hearings altogether.

(We talked to one fellow who looked like a protester, but what he had to say was surprising.)

Another surprise?

The identity of one of the politicians who has voiced approval for the expansion...

NDP Notely encourages to swiftly approve, which is compromising position, and good politics. She also, knows there are going to be enough roadblocks that the odds of it getting approved in the next four years are low.

I certainly do not mean any disrespect to anybody, but here is a question that I cannot answer:

A Canadian Aboriginal waves their finger in our face and says “This is Indian Land, you cannot have it”…..we bow our heads in shame and accept that.

A Hungarian person tells a Syrian migrant the same thing, “This is our land, you cannot have it” and he is called a “racist”.

Anybody else also so sick and tired of hearing how the Aboriginals had their land stolen from them?
commented 2016-01-28 00:52:23 -0500
William Mcdonnell, you are right about Notely, she knows what’s safe to say, she knows it will never happen. She realizes she has to make those noises periodically. Its a farce.

The first clip, city of Burnaby lawyer, is laughable. Burnaby city has 2 political parties, BCA (the local NDP franchise), and a local coalition party. The NDP has massive manpower funding from trade unions (their are many union offices in Burnaby). In the last city election, the CUPE union alone donated 92,000$ (out of a total of half a million donations) to BCA/NDP… compared to the coalition party who had 30,000$ in donation TOTAL…. as well, being a franchise, the provincial NDP and federal NDP are in campaign mode 24/7 during city election… The result is dismal, in 2011 for example, everyone knows that the city elections are so unfair that hardly anyone bother to vote.. why bother? About 22% of the eligible voters actually voted and they elected NDP, who had 16% of the vote…. and this 16% garnered a 100% NDP majority with not a single opposition member… The 2014 election is similar… 100% NDP, no opposition…. so for their lawyer to bitch that the NEB only represents 39% of all Canadians is absurdly duplicitous. The pipeline is 100% a federal governmental matter yet Burnaby city (with no opposition officials), has spent over 1 million $ already on fighting the pipeline.. and they have lost every single case (but vow to fight on to the supreme court)….

I think Stalin called them “useful idiots!” And I agree with him.

Just a bunch of low life Bums earning their Beer and Drug money, all they have to do is hold a placard and squawk, dumbed down morons.

They should have all shown up nude then, because so many things are made with oil.
commented 2016-01-27 12:32:58 -0500
Idealistic fools. Everyone want clean air, water, and land. But if that is going to be done it has to be done jointly with oil producers because we need the money and the well paying jobs. Can’t even argue with them because they are too high.

William said, "… just in case there is one person on this site who may be buying into the communist Notley lies. "

Not any of the conservative or libertarian people for sure, but there are a few leftie socialists that post here on this site that seem to be madly in love with Notley and Justine “Puff Puff” Trudeau (coupled with a vitriol hatred for Alberta and Alberta oil). I could name some names, but those fools know who they are.

I also think that we should charter some busses, and start counter protesting these fools. The problem is that most of us work for a living, and the protest-anything-Canadian group don’t work. They’d rather destroy their own country. What a pity, and a shame!
commented 2016-01-27 12:07:28 -0500
I think it’s time that the names of these protesters are recorded and investigated financially to see where the traitorous money trail leads. My bet is the UN, funded through the enviro criers from the US, and of course those stupid Canadians, who will fall for anything and will do anything for easy money. These Canadians hate their own country. I personally am ashamed to even call these lemons Canadians.

I am sooo certain tom selleck lives in a little electricity-less shack in the woods and he car-pooled to get to the protest. what was that car magnum pi was always driving? and the womanizing character he played . I mean, the man is practically a saint…

Dear Diary;
I don’t know what’s worse. Tommy yapping at my heels, or Rona constantly trying to drag common sense into everything. She went on and on about too many selfies (how could there be such a thing) and supporting pipelines or something. I told her straight to her face, through the speaker, that already I’ve done more since I swore in than Stevie did in nine years, and if no one believes me, they just have look over my report card, which is shown on TheRebel from time to time.
I had to drop in on blabbermouth Coderre the other day to calm him down and teach him a thing or two. Look, I said, I know we don’t care one way or the other about pipelines, but you have to appear to support them, but do it passively. That way you get the votes of pipeline supporters. Let the N.E.B. do their thing, have an environmental assessment, let the project get approved, it’s okay because Gerald invented something called a Social Licence. I don’t know how much it costs to buy one, but the idea is that we use it right at the end of the process to kill the project. I get to keep my Indian votes too, and everyone’s happy.
Gerald has given Stephie Dion the official government okay-dokey to go ahead and announce that we’re taking the spearheading lead in following B.O. and the Europeans and some other countries and lifting our hard-hitting sanctions against Iran. This is what Sacha and U.N. told me to do so that Iran will get a bucket-load of money so they might not get nuclear weapons, and maybe they’ll stop giving money to terrorists, and there was something else, something about Israel, I think. Now I’d like to hear U.S. Defense Secretary Carter try telling Gerald and me that we’re not pulling our weights. Just don’t mention anything to anyone about a timeline Stephie, you and McCallum keep getting me in trouble with those things.
So, it was TheRebel that spilled the beans about Sophie’s video. Oh well, at least it wasn’t reported by David (the menzoid) Menzies. That would have been just too freaky, even for me.

Notley does NOT SUPPORT PIPELINES. She is trying to portray herself and the NDP as supporters of refining oil in Canada and transporting to tidewater by pipeline and onward shipment by tanker to China and India. This is total bullshit, just in case there is one person on this site who may be buying into the communist Notley lies.

What should happen to these extreme environmentalists that get their money from foreign governments to stop Canadian oil production, I say you take their cars, remove the heat from their home, take any form of plastics like cellphones etc and let them live in the dark age, I am tired of these hypocrites getting media attention.

They should be thrown in jail and left to rot. However at least some of them get jobs with Trudeau.
