The Vegas Golden Knights will be playing at T-Mobile Arena next year, but for now, the arena is giving fans a major dose of political correctness.
In a post on Facebook, T-Mobile Arena said, “From a 60-foot holiday tree to our first-ever ice rink at #ToshibaPlaza, we have everything you need to enjoy the holiday season. Join us tomorrow as we kick off Holiday at The Park starting around 5:00PM.”
On the arena's website, the term 'holiday tree' is yet again mentioned, but so too is Santa Claus. It seems like that while taking elements associating with Christmas (because Christmas is awesome), they don't want to be associated with the holiday.
“Tis’ the season at The Park from November 19, 2016 – January 15, 2017. An ornament-filled archway, frosted-crystal blooms, branches sparkling with icicle lights and The Park’s 60-foot holiday tree will welcome visitors to the festive winter wonderland,” the description says.
“Lace up your skates and show us your best axel jump on the first-ever ice rink at Toshiba Plaza, outside T-Mobile Arena. Don’t feel like skating? Visit Santa Claus, listen to harmonious sounds of carolers all while sipping on hot beverages and snacking on delicious holiday treats provided by Levy Restaurants.”
Carolers, trees, treats and not a single mention of Christmas. Who exactly are they trying not to offend?
