Liberal convicted of breaking the law yet Trudeau keeps him as candidate

It takes a special kind of hypocrite to break the law like Liberal candidate Sven Spengemann did:

A Liberal candidate has admitted he broke election spending laws during his fight to win a bitterly-contested nomination battle in the Toronto-area riding of Mississauga-Lakeshore.

Elections commissioner Yves Cote’s office investigated Spengemann’s nomination expenses after receiving a complaint from Paul Szabo, the former Liberal MP for the riding who had backed a rival candidate for the nomination.

Szabo maintains Spengemann’s campaign failed to report many expenses, including room rentals, bus rental, campaign literature, signs and posters.

And then sneer at PM Stephen Harper over the Mike Duffy trial:

If Spengemann had an ounce of integrity he would have immediately resigned and if not, Liberal leader Justin Trudeau should have immediately fired him – neither of course has happened.

Making it even worse, Spengemann has a PhD in Law:

Sven’s academic qualifications include degrees from the University of Toronto (Mississauga), Osgoode Hall Law School and the Collège d’Europe. He was a Canada-US Fulbright Scholar and earned his doctorate at Harvard Law School.

So there’s no way the Liberals can claim ignorance.

Conservative Dean Del Mastro went to jail over a similar offence so why the double standard when it comes to a Liberal? And where’s the Media Party outrage? The CBC hasn’t even bothered to mention it:

Apparently the CBC has so many reporters covering Duffy they can’t spare any for convicted Liberals.

I have always thought there should be a state broadcaster but it has to be unbiased. The CBC is a total failure. Should be terminated from tax payer funding.

I love CBC’s unbiased reporting. I’m just waiting to see it…Oh, that’s right, I don’t watch the CBC’s B.S. programming anymore…Like most Canadians.

No surprise. Lieberals attract the criminal element. Just look at Chretien’s regime and Adscam!
