Liberal MP Easter’s “t-bone steak” tweet has CBC’s “panties in a knot”

Brian LilleyRebel Co-Founder

You don’t often hear me praising Liberal Members of Parliament, but I want to highlight something Wayne Easter is doing.

The Prince Edward Island lawmaker (and former farmer) has been consulting with people in the agriculture sector, including the livestock industry, and he tweeted about what he’d learned.

Unfortunately, an internet troll decided to attack Easter's mission. The MP tweeted back that his vegan critic should “have a t-bone steak.”

The CBC is up in arms of course, calling Easter disrespectful. Is this really a story? Who is the real bully here, anyway?

Great quote, Randy. Ol CS and GK had it figured out long ago. Too bad nothing of this sort is taught anymore. I love to hear a prophetic voice at its finest.

CS Lewis, Tyranny

“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good
of its victim may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live
under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies.
The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may
at some point be satiated, but those who torment us for our own good
will torment us without end for they do so with the approval
of their own conscience.”

typical shallow reporting CBC does, pathetic.

Thanks for the warning, but it’s the 25 round magazine, that people have ownerd for 20 or 30 years that the RCMP arbitrarily made prohibited, turning thousands of law abiding responsible firearms owners into paper criminals overnight and facing up to 10 years in prison for owning…

Bill Elder—It was Dingwell who was entitled to his entitlements.

Dan Mancuso:you may want to be careful about saying you have a 12/22 10 roundmagazine, because the RCMP have just outlawed them.

This is for all you vegans out there and all you do:
I’m going to take my scoped Ruger 10/22 carbine with the internal 10 round magazine and head down to the spring where I’ve seen some rabbit sign and put some head shots on as many rabbits as I can. When I get them home I’m going to peel their skin off, tear their guts out, chop them up into pieces and pan fry them with some onions and garlic, Himalayan salt crystals and fresh ground black pepper and a dash of red wine, which I will serve on a bed of brown basmati rice, salad being whatever I pull out of the garden, which I will enjoy with some unpasteurized, unfiltered apple cider vinegar from organic apples and some extra virgin cold pressed olive oil.
The squirrels I will shoot just because they’re varmints and because vegan’s self righteous BS zealotry pisses me off – and I will be thinking about all you vegans every time I squeeze the trigger BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! I’ll be shooting those varmint squirrels just because you vegans are trying to take away my right to kill and consume the animals that the good Lord put here for us humans to have dominion over – see Genesis chapter one, in the Bible.
Deer hunting season is coming up…BANG!

Oh yes Mr. entitlements.
What Jamie MacMaster said.

And this veganite, does she actually know how her vegetables are produced? Or does she think that they just appear on the grocery shelves by themselves? Does she not know they need to be “farmed”? Does she not know that the same amount of “fossil fuel” goes into their production as in the production of meat? Does she not know that to produce vegetables, you need to use the land and soil?

So many uneducated people jumping on a cause!

Brian, you know what “farmers” in PEI do? They grow potatoes recieve big subsidies and price guarantees above market value through marketing boards and take their families to Florida when they collect fed welfare for bad crop years.

Isn’t Easter the parasitic drone who said he was “entitled to his entitlements”? I think he knows as much about the business of farming as the marxist dip shit he was insulting

Too many angry fucking CBC vegan idiots whom are malnourished from all that raw veg they eat.

They should try some red meat, some rare red meat. They might feel more balanced inside and less angry on the outside.

If you mess with my steak I will eat your children. Lets face it they are grain fed, probably pretty tasty…

The CBC had to find a reason to attack a Liberal so it can claim to be non-partisan.
Of course they had to find an issue that would validate their journalistic neutrality while at the same time not cause damage to their Lord and Master PMO.
Nice try, CBC.

Oh Yes, now they are comin for the Steakers. From time to time, I do have a beef with the eating of steak. Of course, I am speaking of the tenderness issue. Give that vegan lady a brake. She has probably been afflicted with some of the tougher cuts that haven’t been properly, aged, tenderized or cooked properly. But some of those California tomatoes can be tough and tasteless. And these vegans are providing a worth while service. The less steak she eats, the more there is for the rest of us carnivores.
All choking aside, gimme a brake. Has someone gone insane here? The very fact that has become a “story” is beyond belief. No need to try and drive a steak into someone’s belly, all over what millions of people aroung the world eat on a regular basis. Gotta run, I’m salivating.
One last thing. Porterhouse and T-Bone are great but Prime Rib Steak is my favorite.

Interesting little story Brian; I always wondered if these vegan weirdos were real, and wanted all of us to stop eating meat.
Peter Netterville—your new job must pay well. A 28oz porterhouse in BC would be $40.00

Shebel, so you remember him? He was about as “down to earth” as you can get.

We have yet to see a Conservative politician of that ilk.

Wayne Easter is in the old Liberal tradition of being down-to-earth and working the earth (remember Eugene Whelan?).

It is something that Peter MacKay has not yet understood, and why he will have trouble gaining office.

Sigh… ONLY Brian Lilley could make me view Wayne Easter in a positive light. Stop it Brian!

I thought there was an epidemic of Islamophobia for CBC to report on , why are they wasting their time on this crap?

That is why they go on disability insurance. They are so healthy and eat all the right stuff. It is just that their minds are susceptible to any type of stress——including holding a Job.
commented 2016-08-04 22:00:44 -0400
Where do these vegan’s get off? We don’t usually run around saying that we’re meat eaters. It’s a given in my opinion. It’s not normal or healthy to live on vegetables. Ask anyone who suffers from anemia.

Mmmmmmm! Medium rare thick cut 28oz Porterhouse steak – mini roast ;o)

I know what I am going to buy this weekend!

If God didn’t want us to eat meat why did he make animals out of it?

OK….here and now….I have had this discussion many many many times….what is the procedure to post a full fledged article on this subject….complete with name by line….I will even learn the video upload procedure…..

The vegan position is in fact EXTREMELY dangerous…..I have studied the dynamics of societies resorting to canibalism…..veganism would not be possible were it not for modern refrigeration (powered by fossil fuels)…and ALL cultures which failed to secure meat herding inevitably ended up resorting to canibalism…

ANYBODY willing to take me up on THAT debate?……fast for 30 days befoer the debate begins!!!!
