Liberals break emission reduction promise: What’s next for “caucus of climate change warriors”?

Holly NicholasRebel Commentator

It appears Trudeau’s Liberals are taking a page from Jean Chretien’s playbook and going back on their word, this time breaking promises made to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

You’ll remember Chretien promised to reduce global emissions by 20% below 1988 values by 2005, but by 2006 emissions were 30% above the Kyoto target. And now the Trudeau Liberals have suggested they won’t reduce emissions beyond what the Harper Conservatives proposed.

I’m fine with the Liberals breaking their promise on emissions and especially a carbon tax. Nobody needs an additional guilt tax for something that hasn’t been proven and is still up for debate.

But Liberals sit on their snobby environmental awareness pedestal like they’re better than average Canadians and use it as an excuse to spend millions of government dollars to jet around the world, eat at fancy restaurants and sip champagne on the taxpayer dime.

Now that they’ve broken their promise to reduce emissions, what excuse can the Liberals use for their caucus of climate change warriors to continue spending outrageous sums of taxpayer dollars on luxury items?

Does this mean their costly trips in the name of climate change that spew exorbitant amounts of carbon are going to end? I doubt it.

The liberals will always find a route to our cash to fund their pet virtue signalling projects.

And here’s the worst part about Liberal anguish over climate change melting the ice caps -

Scientists estimate that there are perhaps 20,000 prehistoric hunter-gatherers frozen up in those glaciers. Now, if they simply thaw and wander around, it’s not a problem, but if they find an evil leader — a neolithic George Soros, if you will — we’ll be facing an even more serious immigration problem with incompatible regressed cultures.

To PM Trudeau: Now you have opened the gate of a sovereign nation to the despots of the world, I hope you realize once you go down this path, there is no going back. For instance, I understand you made a historic trade agreement with China for Canola. This in itself is significant for our farmers.I’m wondering will you recind the restriction of the previous government bill on foreign ownership of farmland in Canada. Also the visa requirements of foreigners to work on said lands as TFW under the company? Your historic agreement to let us market our Canola to a communist nation may bode well in the hall’s of Ottawa. In the end , What did you give them?

To The Rebel: Keep it up!

Canada can do more to reduce CO2 emissions, and you are leading the way in demanding this!

Very hard to do something you know is impossible, makes no sense, not disputed scientifically, and really just a pet project. The cracks appear very quickly and the dam will soon burst. So in true political fashion, you back pedal, line up the people, and buses, and let the carnage begin.

It is fantastic that The Rebel is criticizing the Trudeau government, and calling them to account on a reduction of carbon emissions.

The Trudeau government feels that they can sneak by with less targets in terms of CO2 emissions.

The Rebel is calling them out! They promised lower carbon emissions, they should live up to their promises.

Good for The Rebel. Media outlets have been mediocre on this. The Rebel truly stands for the environment.

I remember the very next day after Trudope was elected, an acquaintance of mine was telling me how he had voted Trudope and how it was 2015.
My first remarks were, “Wait till he tries to exceed the emissions target set by Harper!”
As any conservative, when Harper’s gang set the targets, anyone with any intelligence knew there wasn’t a hope in hell of meeting them.
It did get the greenies off his back for awhile however, so he could work on real (not fake) issues. Like Canada’s security and liberties Bill C-51.

And when they hit the wall on the UN treaty that the liberals signed in the first place….they will abandon the legalization of marijuana as well…….told you so.

“Liberals break emission reduction promise”

Oh, but Holly, the Liberals are exempt from meeting any CO2 emission targets. That is only for the sub-human class, the right wingers.

Some adult in the Tater Tot regime has realized there is an large economic disconnect between Tiny Tater’s green utopia and the national economy.

It has nothing to do with the fact climate spending, green tech and carbon taxing have no climatic effect or even that the climate crisis is a fraud – no this has to do with a higher evolved liberal who has mastered math skills finally realizing that the puny green shift economy cannot and never will replace the revenues brought in by the petrodollar and its related technologies and industries.

Where the toxic hypocrisy comes in is them following and even falling short on Harper targets after years of berating the Harper regime for these “insufficient goals”.

Hypocrite thy name art Liberal

Emissions went down under Harpers term. They will not go down under these filthy hypocrites terms.
Taxes and jetting around for selfies does not reduce emissions.

Minor typo:
Stephen E. You’re absolutely right. And I can’t think of one Senior Liberal Party Member or one Liberal Member of Parliament who should not be shamed for supporting this farce. Trudeau is just a pathetic symptom of their stupidity and self-centred greed.

The SJW’s have already claimed their place at the globalist table

One can only congratulate the Liberals on these broken promises. Perhaps someone warned them that even their regular Liberal supporters were becoming fed up with these phony tax grabs. 39% means a lot to Justin

The Rebel should give a caution message when they are going to show images of Liberals, I thought the video cover image was an image from the Zoo.

The primary responsibility of any government is to its population and to protect that population. Instead we have a government that has more concern and worry about distant lands, foreign nationals, and the interests of foreign powers. All this in a move to get a seat at the UN Security Council. No expense, and no slap in the face to Canadians will stop the ego drive of our Prime Minister who has the political awareness of Baby Doc Duvalier of Haiti.

Our government is lead by a pretender who may have attended two prestigious universities but dropped out of both, so leaving him with no more than a high school leaving certificate, Most people having only graduated from high school are not dumb, usually have good common sense, and are reasonable people. Unfortunately, Baby Doc Trudeau has the age and years behind him, but wisdom has not accompanied him.

We have a snowboard instructor, kayak instructor, bouncer, part-time high school drama teacher born with a golden spoon in his mouth. He lived off his numbered trust fund accounts never needing to work. Tax accountants made certain he paid the least in taxes, exercising each and every loophole. Yet with all this, he claims to understand and wants to help the middle class, which was considered the best in the world but is now under attack by his policies.

Worrying about the rest of the world and using Canada as his bank roll to do this does no service to us. He simply does not understand that his feudatory responsibilities are to us. Period. Good governance. Not spend us into oblivion and take monthly vacations on our dime.

Who is the real power in Ottawa? Gerald Butts and to a lesser degree Sasha Trudeau. Neither elected.
