The Liberal government is dropping their appeal of the terrorist Omar Khadr being allowed out on bail, during his long-shot appeal of his war crimes convictions.
That’s not how the criminal law is supposed to work. Criminals have their own lawyers. The government has the prosecutors. They're supposed to clash against each other, not agree.
The Department of Justice is supposed to represent our interests, and keep us safe, not represent Khadr. He already has a lawyer. Where’s ours?
The Liberals are making a clear political statement:
They’re fine with Khadr.
They don’t want to risk their little hero serving time for his murders.
But what about this? As we reported just last week, Omar Khadr has been having secret video calls with other Al Qaida supporters, who he met when he was imprisoned at Guantanamo Bay.
We have photographic evidence that Khadr is talking with fellow Al Qaida supporters, and that he’s obviously not reporting this to his bail or parole officer.
