Liberals use tax money for Justin Bieber concert

Faith GoldyRebel Host

Remember when Justin Trudeau promised to run a “modest” $10 billion deficit after he got elected?

And, remember how the Liberals’ first budget—with a projected $30 billion deficit— actually weighed in at about three times the “modest” one they promised?

Well, you might also recall all of that public debt was a debt of choice, not circumstance. Canadians trusted that the federal Liberals were spending our money as a means of investing it in our future.

Well, I’m sorry to report:

The Liberals aren't investing our money. They're spending it on themselves.

According to a fresh order paper submitted by the federal Conservatives, government departments, agencies, and crown corporations were asked to “provide a response concerning all gala, concert, or sporting events tickets” they purchased using taxpayer funds.

The order paper reveals that Liberal cronies are really using our money to send themselves to fancy galas, football games, fancy tennis tournaments, and even… Justin Bieber concerts.

You've got to see it to believe it!

If Justin Trudeau makes the same mistake as the Democrats in the USA and seeks the endorsement from celebrities it may very well backfire against him… these freaks are not as powerful as they think they are.
Never double down on stupid

" the difference is if I claim a write off on “dinner and Drinks” as a business expense I have to itemize who I was doing business with – at least to my boss, to justify running up the expense account. In this FOI I see over $20,000 expensed to “Various and unknown persons”."

My thoughts as well Bill. You must itemize every detail or the claim is rejected. Why was this not rejected as with other expenses that were vague. Instead it is rubber-stamped (approved automatically). There are a number that should have raised a flag prior to its approval. By self-indulgence I mean – for self usage (family/friends).

One expense listed: Toronto Film Critic Association – 19th Annual Gala
an expense of $2500 – 5 guests included
reminds me of the Toronto International Film Festival.

@jay Kelly…what in the world are you on about? Any document tabled in Parliament becomes public record in HANSARD. It is a normal function of an opposition party to get this information and expenditure disclosure through ATIPP. Harper required such disclosure from all ministers and deputy ministers without being asked through ATIPP…so which regieme is more transparent?

The fact that it touched conservative member’s desk does not make it a conservative document or source.

What good is having transparency in the government if we are unable to do or change anything about it except every four years in a make-believe election… Separation from central Canada would be a gift

Actually if the liberals want to torture themselves by seeing Beiber then i am fine with my taxes paying for it.

Did Faith Goldy really quote the federal Conservatives for her financial figures?

Hey, Faith, if that is your source why don’t you support the Conservative Party whole heartedly?

Rona Ambrose and the gang would be happy for your support. Go for it. Why do you not announce your support for the federal Conservative Party of Canada?

My Grandpa was asked to campaign for the Liberals in Saskatchewan and was told, “Jack, you’d lack for nothing”. To which Grandad replied, “Nothing but my self respect”. And this from a dry land farmer with 10 kids in the middle of the depression. The Liberals are still at the trough and they always will be.

I can still hear the trolls BS and how they attacked us and the Rebel for saying this would happen.

The difference between this and Bev’s orange juice is the media.

Enough complaining, folks. Remember that one grandiose statement made by JT: “… and the budget will balance itself.”. No need to worry about anything because JT and the lieberals have everything under control. Nothing to see. Move on.

“I’ve been in the game of securing government contracts and I can tell you a lot of patronage is bought and sold”

Meals/drinks while discussing contracts etc. is the norm, but not self-indulgences. I do not believe such an item as the concert tickets was to curry favor but rather was a self-indulgence. The temptation for the abuse of tax funds is too great to pass up for Liberals as the past has clearly shown, both federally and provincially.

Remember how the Libs went nuts over Bev’s glass of orange juice? You’d think they’d be practicing self-control since they claimed to be superior to the past government. Just goes to show what self-indulgent hypocrites they really are.

Yes indeed, the Canadian Liberals are back at the trough and loving every minute.

Bieber is one Canadian I’d gladly trade for pretty much anyone in the US. Even John Kerry.

The Canadian Liberals are back.

WTH is going on with these cronies, no wonder why people are sick and tired of this “bar open” mentality…

Thanks Faith for the good work!!

On my tax return I have to list these as business expenses and can only write off a small portion of them. It’s obvious these are business expenses of the government – what’s more important is who they are doing business with and why these perks are needed.

I’ve been in the game of securing government contracts and I can tell you a lot of patronage is bought and sold
