Memo to Notley NDP: Chomsky and Marx "aren't training manuals on how to run anything"

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

The Alberta NDP is "investing" $500 million in the oil industry, but my guest Paige MacPherson explains why these subsidies actually harm the economy.

She cites University of Calgary findings that these sorts of economic schemes "just shift employment from one place to another."

I wonder why there isn't a single grown up in the NDP who will tell Notley and company that they aren't students any more and need to stop reading Chomsky and Marx.

WATCH my entire conversation with Paige MacPherson of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation HERE.

Is Chomsky the guy pushing BDS against his own people?

Lad Reme hydrogen power has been around for a long time, it is the inherent danger of its storage that keeps it limited, a normal consumer cannot be trusted to fuel the car and storing large amounts of it is very dangerous. A hydrogen tank the size of the propane tanks you see at some stations would take out many blocks if there was a small mistake. Volatility is the problem , not the making of the car.

Nathan W the price has been this low before and for a much longer period, in the first half of the 2000’s it was this low and i was busy as hell and unemployment was much lower and i had to give up work to take a break. There was lots of activity and new projects, sorry to make you face reality though.
Now go on being a good useful idiot.

If it keeps moving, regulate it.
And if it stops moving, subsidize it.-Ronald Reagan

Well, actually there are things which Notely has done that reflects Marx. For example, while it is still fresh in everyone’s memory, most recently Notely decided to follow one of Marx’s greatest laments. Control the press. Control the information that reaches the masses of the population. (Basically keep them stupid and uninformed)

I bet Rachel has not had a wink of sleep since naming her cabinet. Probably most were cream of the crop. And they simply do not have the leadership qualifcations, background experience or wisdom to provide sound governance. Then couple that with their high school views of anti-corporation, anti-wealth anti-prosperity and you have what we have. A hell of a mess.

Dr. Genius – “If those 100,000 workers laid off on Notley’s watch haven’t found anything better to do”

Oil prices. Boom and bust. You guys know the nature of the game, right?

Let’s put all our eggs in that basket.

True. This is patently obvious if you’ve read either of them.

However, nothing Notley has done remotely reflects anything Marx or Chomsky every wrote. She’s just too left wing for you guys.

I bet when Notley took the job as AB Dipleader she never imagined spending 4 yrs toilet training her caucus – bad enough Dip voters are mostly diaper loaders let alone Dip ministers.

darryl john wrote «They will be decimated next election if they can last that long even.»

If those 100,000 workers laid off on Notley’s watch haven’t found anything better to do, they could camp out at the provincial legislature demanding Notley’s resignation (and legislation to recall awful politicians). They could call it “Notleyville”.

in reality if they wanted to help OUR ENERGY MINISTER COULD GET OFF HER ASS AND DO SOMETHING, 500 million really doesn’t do much in energy, It would be better spent trying to educate people and fighting for pipelines, Both of which they have no intention of doing. The energy minister is invisible casper the ghost, you would think she would stand up and at least say something but no not a word. totally useless, Now trans alta is stopping all power generation projects because the ENERGY MINISTER AND NOTLEYS NDP HAVE ZERO CLUE. They will be decimated next election if they can last that long even.

There was one truism which came from this exchange – that being that in today’s politics it is no longer about left vs right but children versus the adults – literally.
