Milo Yiannopoulos: "Most people agree with us, not with the censors"

Rebel Staff

On my show, I spoke with libertarian journalist Milo Yiannopoulos about his fight against Twitter.

On Friday, Twitter took away the little blue checkmark that said Milo was “verified." I have a little verified checkmark too, as do many media types or celebrities. That's one way you can know you're reading, say, the real Donald Trump's tweets and not an impostor's.

Twitter "explained" (vaguely) that Milo had violated their rules and that if he didn't stop, he’d be shut down. So Milo and his followers pushed back. He got 20,000 new followers in 48 hours, and #JeSuisMilo became a top trending hashtag.

Milo points out that many far more controversial people -- including convicted rapists -- still have verified Twitter accounts. He was singled out because Twitter is biased against conservatives and libertarians.

We talk about the future: What happens if he is kicked off Twitter altogether? What happens if and when other social media platforms begin cracking down even more on those with "unacceptable" opinions?

Milo is a "happy warrior" -- I think you'll want to hear what he has to say!

If you all feel so censored by the decisions of private firms over their private networks, ye who love the free market so much, why don’t you go open up your own Twitter company called Hatesphere or open up your own Racistbook so you won’t have to feel censored by the people who don’t want to listen to people pushing negative stereotypes on the rest of us.

CBC and MSN silenced me. I hate them. It makes me sick. Proud of you Milo!

It was inevitable that these giant leftist run social media outlets would eventually feel compelled to censure anything that went against their world view. “Control the media , control the message” ,so wrote the philospher and media theorist Marshall McLuhan. So when we became wise to the lies and pablem we are fed every day by our leftist journalists ,we turned to new and open forums to discover “the rest of the story” . as the late Paul Harvey would say.
This of course is intollerable to the controllers of the message , and thus censorship and control of the message is being exercised across the internet. So should we be surprised that the German media reported that rowdy young men assaulted and groped German women on New Years Eve, leaving out the fact that they were Muslim refugees? Muslim and refugee are a bad message for Merkel. So she had to have the facts not reported and the internet outlet messages had to be surpressed. Same in Philadelphia . The major networks have ignored the cop assassination attempt by a fanatical Muslim. But the President will parade a Syrian refugee at the State of Union address tonight and the stupid Congress will all stand and clap, take bows for the compassion they are showing around the world. Meantime drug gangs in Chicago are roving the neighborhoods , shooting and killing each other or some poor passerby caught in the crossfire.
Our entire Western culture and society is being taken down , piece by piece by the leftist.

So Sean Penson is done with pretending to be a Conservative “centrist” who voted for Trudeau… He now out and out says we should just pretend to be right wing and embrace the ideas of Karl Marx and Vladimir Lenin. This is the type of “Conservative” that I fear is quite prevalent in this country. They talk all “that’s a right wing conspiracy theory” until the last mile, where suddenly, they demand we bow to progressivism or we’ll be sent to their “re-education camps”.

Fuck You Penson… You come over and fucking try, you Toronto queerbait piece of commie shit.

BTW _ I’m glad an effective sxxt-disturber like Milo is on our side – liberty rules leftist fools.

FB and Twitter are an intellectual ghetto and a corporate-crony gulag -
Why would you even try to put messages about freedom, individualism and independent thought out to a zombie cult who enjoy their ignorance, imprisonment and group-think? – these spuds will just vote you off their little pink echo chamber anyway.

You want freedom and independence go somewhere else and take like minded people with you, the reason Twitter acts like a tyrant is because they come at this as monopolists – free ideas are for a free market , not a captive market like twitter, pxxs on em go to a competator or be a competitor – competition kills monopolists and control freaks dead.

Greig – I don’t even use a cell phone. I find it incredibly freeing not to use Twitter, Google or FB. Call me old fashioned, but my life is much easier without being attached to these services that seem to be the modern magazines. They sell your information for profit, and censor your comments, or others attack you for them. I don’t find it necessary to put my dirty laundry out their for others to comment on, because I don’t care what they think.

Sean Penson – you certainly talk big, and your veiled threat is duly noted, though I suspect that you are like every other garden variety communist, a yellow bellied-coward!

I do not use Twitter, or Google, or Facebook. I commend Milo for his steadfastness and courage. Best of luck.

Sean Penson – thank you for proving the point. Only left wingers are allowed to have opinions.

In honour of Milo, I just deactivated my twitter account. You’re welcome and thank-you for revealing their bias.

At least pretend not to be far right and embrace the loving teaching of Marx-Engels-Lenin! Accept that progressives are in charge now, and shut TF up, or you will face consequences that you can’t fathom!

Once people are hooked on a social media platform, like FB or Twitter, they know of no where else to go for comment. Once comments can be censored, everyone will be on the same page, propaganda-wise. It’s very similar to a practise that emerged out of Nazi Germany. Say what one will about the Nazis, they were very sophisticated in their use of popular media and culture as a means of broadcasting their message to the masses. The best approach right now is to believe as I do: all politicians are liars; the media lies; everyone lies; the Truth is relative. In the end, resistance will not come by political means but by deadly means. Bullets have a huge advantage over words, in that words are just not that lethal.

Well said.

Having advanced from words to bullets a few times in my career I can assure you that they do work well as compared to words.

I have seen how some countries have used them when the propaganda and words failed to get them the desired results.

Cheers

Agreed, Milo, your not alone. If your center right, like l am, your on Twitters radar. This “Political Correctness” has gone way too far. Even YouTube has annoyed me a couple of times. Well, its their loss. Oh my word, what will happen when Mr. Trump becomes President. “The Perfect Storm”.

Dear Diary;
Well it was bound to happen sooner or later. Someone in Vancouver pepper-sprayed a crowd of new voters from Syria. Of course everyone in their right mind (and my own people too) are denouncing that, so I’m following along, like the great leader that I am, and immediately went to Twitter and tweeted to all the twats and twits who follow me that “this isn’t who we are” (I’m confident that no one in the media will point out that this isn’t actually a denunciation).
I’m not only brilliant, but also inspirational. I’ve just given myself an idea for our 2016 Tee-shirts.
There’s just one itsy-bitsy-teensy-weensy problem. McCallum and I have been saying all along that my government would absolutely not be approving or categorizing any applicants based on their religion, in fact, old stock McCallum even told Brian Lilley that such information couldn’t even be captured and retained. So now that pesky rebel Lilley will probably want to know how come this welcoming event was scheduled to take place at the centre for the ‘Muslim’ Association of Canada?
This is another fine pickle McCallum’s got me into.
Allah bless you, Gerald. Gerry’s just told me that, instead of admitting to my Canadians that we lied, we’ll tell them that using that facility was just a lark, a humorous attempt to offend any Jewish and Christians refugees, no, not you Harjit, you’re okay. (I have to watch Harjit, Gerald put him in charge of the guns).
That should take the heat off, and who knows, maybe even pick up a few more votes from my Muslim chums.
