Nigel Farage was at his finest today when he unleashed a thunderous assault on Brussels bureaucrats in front of the EU Parliament.
The aftermath of the Brexit vote caused Farage to open with the line, “You’re not laughing now, are you?”
After a brief chorus of boos from those opposing Farage, EU President Martin Schulz told them to shut up. “One major quality of democracy is that you listen to those even if you don’t share their views,” he said.

“Isn’t it funny, you know when I came here 17 years ago and I said that I wanted to lead a campaign to get Britain to leave the European Union, you all laughed at me – well I have to say – you’re not laughing now are you?” Farage barraged.
“But the biggest problem you’ve got and the main reason the United Kingdom voted the way that it did is you have – by stealth, by deception, without every telling the truth to the British or the rest of the peoples of Europe – you have imposed upon them a political union,” he added.

After a few other points, Farage attacked those in the EU for never having a real job in their lives.
“Now I know that virtually none of you have ever done a proper job in your lives or worked in business or worked in trade, or indeed ever created a job,” he blasted to a series of jeers.
After concluding his speech he sat down to one of the biggest grins you've probably ever seen on a politician's face.
