Nanny State Ninny Award for June: Is this even legal? Regina Police’s “seatbelt sting”

David MenziesMission Specialist

We started our monthly Nanny State Ninny Awards a while ago and have exposed some notable examples of state intrusion into our private lives. But our winner for June might be the most egregious example to date of unwanted bureaucratic interference yet.

That’s because usually, the busybody entity is REACTING to an existing activity it deems unsavoury or unsafe, but this one involves the Nanny State CREATING a problem on purpose and then later “fixing” it — at taxpayer expense.

I know that sounds confusing so watch as I explain why Regina Police and the “seatbelt sting” they created and are shamelessly profiting from, deserve attention.

It’s sad.

There’s nothing I love more than good policing but there’s nothing I despise more than bad policing.

This Regina Police sting operation penalizes good-hearted people for being charitable and it should cease immediately, assuming the Regina Police Service truly wants to be treated as a credible organization.

Police entrapment is immoral and should be outlawed. That policeman should be permanently dismissed.

I was in the Montreal train station when newspapers were 25 cents. Early in the morning the executive class entered the station usually dropping some change or a one or two dollar bill in a tray for the morning paper. Many of the executives didn’t even bother making change and left a healthy tip. Once in a while you’d see a gentleman approach the news stand pull out his wallet or check his pocket and discovering he had no money, just picked up a paper anyway. When this happens, two burly officers nab the men and make an arrest. After three arrests, I approached the officers and voiced my concern with their sting operation and that the men arrested had probably overpaid on previous occasions.

The police, like every other government or societal entity, have become nothing more than political extensions of Marxist ideologues at the head of these organizations, that ultimately get their marching orders from authoritarian and Marxist compliant politicians, social engineering and justice department pseudo-gods. The crap rolls downhill – right from the UN Agenda 21 demagogues on down to the dumbed-down, paralyzed and addicted kool-aid slurping, self-indulgent, foolish citizenry.

The police, everywhere, avoid real crimes whenever possible, and become focused on ‘fundraising’ activities in order to feed the ravenous freedom, liberty and sovereignty killing virus of Relativism and post-modern deconstructionism, in all of it’s variants and forms. No longer is common law validated, or the integrity and power of the ‘spirit of the law’ protected and held paramount, for it has been vociferously attacked and replaced with the ‘letter of the law’, for which, is nothing more than the treacherous gateway to entrapment, enslavement, anarchy, tyranny and ultimate destruction.

Today, one must tread cautiously and carefully within the pillars of society, of which, for the most part, have transformed into non-integrous governments, unethical businesses, fragmented families, disturbed individuals and pseudo-religions that are intent on usurping the omniscience and omnipotence of the infinite Deity for their own self-serving agendas. The institutions of education, science and law enforcement, et al, have been severely corrupted, as well, and cannot be relied upon, as they once were, for integrous wisdom, knowledge, purpose, or protection from harm under common law, much less, legal law. Secularism’s lure of ego worship, irresponsibility, lack of accountability and avoidance of selfless service for ‘The Greater Good of All’ has manifested into the hidden narcissistic Luciferic pleasures of self-righteousness, gluttony, hedonism and debauchery.

The only saving grace is the awareness of the “God-sense” and “sovereignty” of Mankind put into practice through the discernment of Truth, establishment of integrous principles, utilization of critical analysis, employment of situational ethics, along with the rejection of falsity.

I have a little information on the cops of Alberta. There is a new program being run my a dr here in Lethbridge the problem I have with it is this. The rcmp, EMS or 911 dispatchers are NOT covered by their health care for this program so they pay for it out of their funds which are tickets and what not by taxpayers. If a cop shoots a person or an EMT sees something that affects them they are placed on pills and sent to an idiot dr that is just a useless piece of shit. If you think that tickets and infractions were bad before it is going to get a whole lot worse. Why are these people not fighting to get their insurance to cover this? Why is the insurer NOT covering this program? I agree with the program however I do not agree that we should be harassed by cops to pay for their health care. Cops have gotten way out of hand and the backdoor bull crap they are pulling to cover their healthcare and other crap has to stop.

Ramadan Bombathon 2016

Muslims often insist that other religions are just as violent as theirs and that the bigger problem is “Islamophobia”.
We put that narrative to the rest each Ramadan with a running count of ALL terror attacks categorized by motive.

Motive – Terror in the name of Islam………………..Attacks = 220…..….Kills = 1573
Motive – All other religions combined …………….Attacks = 0…………Kills = 0
Motive – By Islamophobes…………………………….Attacks = 0…………Kills = 0

This could be hazardous to a panhandler’s health methinks. Just say someone with a short fuse gets ticked off at this racket and does a “cab driver, once more round the block” routine. Who knew that a panhandler would jump out in front of a moving vehicle?

But as mentioned it is nice to know that all the drug dealers have been dealt with, rapists have all been jailed, murderers incarcerated and child porn makers hung. Good jog RPS! Maybe you can take this oh so successful example of police work on the road. Like maybe to High River. Talk about low hanging fruit. Can’t wait for several heads to roll. Right after the High River bunch, I guess.

Name one high volume intersection in Regina. Maybe during a cattle drive …?

The only busy one, intersection – I saw was the one heading out of the city – Regina is Saskatchewan’s Hastings / Gastown Street! Just a bunch of Libtard hippies & SJWs!! Go figure. Most people I’ve met from that town seemed to have their head so far up their ass – they couldn’t see the fields for the wheat!

Maybe the cop should be charged with false solicitation for a charity. First we had the shaky lady now we have the shady cop. In any event it’s giving homeless people a bad rap.

The job of police officers, is to produce, to feed the system, to justify their employment and existence.

They have to keep feeding the bureaucracy of court systems, and government coffers.

Police Services for the most part are over staffed, that’s why you see 4 extra cars and 8 extra cops show for simple arrests.

A lot of police officers just create nuisance charges to justify a productive shift.

That’s what this is, a make work project to justify their existence.

It was probably a lot of fun planning the entrapment scenario and one hell of a lot safer than doing police work.

Considering one of the five pillars of the muslimhood is charitable acts, I wonder how many of them were victims of the entrapment. Or for that matter, Indians whose spirituality is charitable works. Or coloured Hindus, Jains, Buddhists.

Probably just designed for white Judeo-Christians.

Might have been embarrassing for the police if the law breaker had been a WASP converted to Islam :). They may want to be more careful in entrapment.

Yvette – That seems to be the new standard, going after the decent, law-abiding citizens while giving criminals, terrorists etc. a get out of jail card free.

Definitely entrapment! I hope he goes after the police. You’d think that there are enough people out there breaking real laws, to keep the police busy, but I guess Regina’s finest are too lazy to their jobs, they have to set people up. They look incredibly foolish for this act.
commented 2016-07-02 17:35:37 -0400
This is ridiculous & outrageous. They have it all backwards wasting their time going after the good guy instead of the real criminal. so much for being charitable. The police should be taken to task over this & apologize for their very bad behaviour.

Andrew the taxpayer subsidizes that insurance, and try getting a payout from them. Sorry but socialist garbage is not as great as it seems.

Regina PD should hang their collective head in shame. Next time you hear about the plight of the poor police officer and how tough he has it, remember this. And before anyone says I haven’t walked a mile in his shoes, um yup I did.

Entrapment pure and simple. Any lawyers out there with morals to take this activity to task in a court? Regardless, this may be small potatoes when “Canadian” Police Forces turn on the citizens in force to support the Islamists being imported by EL BOW!

No wonder that the respect and trust police once had is a failing thing. When you hear police setting up a situation to penalize good hearted people, or when you hear police illegally breaking into people’s residence and taking their private property, it’s no wonder, they’re doing it to themselves.

More than the fine I would be concerned about points and if it will effect your insurance rates. "

Sask. has public insurance and points are applied to your “safe driver rating” which is used to calculate insurance premiums. You get a 2% discount for every “merit” point that is lost, or if you’re already negative, get a $25 fine for every point until they roll off, one per year So yes, it will impact that although less so than in provinces with rip-off private insurance.
commented 2016-07-02 13:40:10 -0400
Does the legal concept of “entrapment” or colluding to cause a person to break the law, mean anything to the crown council who will be prosecuting this abusive enforcement – or is malicious prosecution also part of the scheme? How about their (police/crown prosecutor) confidence that this is an easy cash grab – must mean they are confident the bench will provide unjust convictions. This rolls out like an old fashioned mob racketeering where all the officials were paid off with profits from the take.

Corruption rolls down hill folks – when it storms your car window with an inappropriate summons, it’s because it has been sanctioned up the chain of command and control.

I’m so relieved to find out there is no real crime problem in Saskatchewan. Maybe Premier Wall could save more money by trimming the fat from the police force. Crap, I forgot about the unions.

Oddly enough the cop might have been charged under the safe streets act in Toronto for washing windshields or asking drivers for money. In any event a nice message to send to someone who thinks he is trying to help someone. I also will have to take precaution next time I go through a drive through that I don’t undo my belt to get at my change.

That is 100% entrapment. This man needs to get a lawyer and charge the crown and the courts for all costs. Plus he should put out an post in every news paper in Regina and make everyone aware of the situation.

Police are 100% the enemy of the people.

How in the hell can any police officer even go along with this type of shit. Plus all this has done, is create uncertainty for help from one human to another. Any person that what’s to help in this type of situation will really second guess their actions before doing it. Way to go ‘cops’! You have just created a monster in one crooked scheme. All the homeless and under privilege with be hurt because of your actions. I hope you all sleep well tonight.

Plus thanks for showing us normal and God fearing Canadians, what criminals you are. You might as well go to jail with your fellow inmates.
