New BlackBerry "Priv" to create influx of 50-year-old businessmen Snapchatting

Jason & MattRebel Commentators

In this episode of We're Right, So You're Wrong, Jason Agnew and Matt Philips look at the new BlackBerry model, the Priv.

The Priv is designed to appeal to existing BlackBerry users who value the original's keyboard, while providing them with the Android OS and apps of more popular cell phones.

Jason for one is not impressed...

“Worst review ever, yes it’s a dumb name but you do realize it has a virtual keyboard. I have ordered one and I won’t be sliding it open. Storm, Torch, Z10, Z30 and soon The Priv. No I’m not 50 and I won’t be using Snapchat to show my Genitals.”

I’m curious, is that what you think those over 50 are really doing???

Satire is supposed to be funny but this video failed. BlackBerry doesn’t go around begging to be propped up by taxpayers so leave it alone. Except for the name, the BlackBerry Priv really does have a lot going for it by giving Crackberry loyalists access to all the Android apps available on Google Play Store.

I just watched a review of the new Priv and an interview with John Chen head of Blackberry. Very impressive. Real reviews are very positive. I hopevthe6 do well. I may even look at one if you can also use an after market Keyboard like my Touch Pal.

Kevin said, "Peter, yeah I did. maybe they should do one of a company thats actually in trouble like Bombardier. "

So in your opinion, they can only make fun of products from a company that is actually in trouble?

BlackBerry is the only phone company with actual security, at least on their flag ship BB10 O.S. phones. Android is only second to the i-phone as the hackers dream. If anyone can supply some kind of security to the android system it will be BlackBerry and hopefully the Priv will be a gateway phone introducing the public to the far superior BB10 phones.

Kevin, you do realize it was not meant to be an actual review, but a satire, right?

Is Blackberry still around?

I honestly didn’t know.

Do I care? Not really.

You two are unfunny and unintelligent.

Test the key board is a killer for me too. I use a Galaxy Note 4 with a Touch Pal key board. You can get different themes and make them quite large and easy to real. Only issue is it suggests words and if you aren’t careful the words can be senseless. I’m a Galaxy Note fan. Great screen and I use the stylus to type.

Dear Diary;
I should buy a lottery ticket today. Just caught a bit of that Fareed guy on CNN’s GPS and I can hardly believe my luck. It was a picture of ME that he showed while reporting that the Annual Prosperity Index declared a few days ago that Canada ranked first for personal freedom. I was actually a bit worried that the lies that my media buddies were spreading about that mean evil Stephen Harper stealing Canadian’s rights and freedoms might not stick, and would come back to haunt me. If Stevie saw it he must be really pissed off now. Ha ha.

I would like to support a Canadian company, but that physical keypad and my big fat thumbs didn’t get along so well.

Keyboard and BBM keeps BB alive.

Hey Trudeau would have the answers. I hate snapchat all those great photos flushed away in seconds. Maybe Priv stands for Private which Blackberry was famous for.

Social media and the technology associated simply create an anti-social society.

How about a conversation?
