North Vancouver mandates climate change stickers on gas pumps - what do taxpayers think?

Rebel Staff

Recently, North Vancouver became the first city to make climate change warning labels mandatory on all gas pumps.

Would drivers notice them and if so, would it change their driving habits?

I set out with microphone in hand to find out. Some thought it was a good idea and some didn’t but one thing all seemed to agree on was that it wouldn’t change their driving habits.

Lord have mercy the average person is so inoculated against common sense. How the hell do they think they get fresh vegetables and fruit in this season? Are they willing to give up those and subsist on pancakes for the remainder of the winter? Or should be put a sticker on the tractor that creates those goods, and the semi that brings them to market? Just like the electric car zealots. Do they ever ask the question how the electricity was generated or do they literally think it just flows like water from a hole in the wall.

The environmental movement has a new and powerful ally in the Liberal government and will continue its’ attack on Canadian resource industries. They have attacked mining, forestry, oil and gas, pipelines, fish farming and the seal and trapping fur industries. Environmentalism and it’s use by governments as a “revenue tool” to support partisan programs will kill Canadian resource industries and make Canada a have-not country.

The Canadian financial service sector including banks, insurance companies and stock exchanges exist in large part to support the resource sector, so this attack on the resource sector by environmentalists and the governments that support them affects the service sector as well.

The election of the Federal Liberals and their extreme environmental policies has created massive uncertainty and is the last straw for investment in our resource sectors. Foreign money is not walking away from Canada and its’ environmental terrorists, it is running away. Is it any wonder the Canadian economy is falling apart: the Canadian dollar, Canada’s GDP and the Canadian Stock Markets are all in free fall. As the Governor of the Bank of Canada tries to revitalize Ontario’s manufacturing industries by devaluing the Canadian dollar, he is undercut by environmentalists in Ontario’s Liberal government and their Green Plan which has raised electricity levels in Ontario to the highest in North America and made Ontario’s manufacturers increasingly uncompetitive.

In Alberta the NDP pile on corporate taxes, carbon taxes and new royalties all under the guise of environmentalism, further crippling the oil, gas, pipeline and transportation industries. All of this is being done to support their partisan, warped, socialist agenda.

Yesterday on TV the Governor of the Bank of Canada (Mr. Poloz) began the conditioning process to prepare Canadians for negative interest rates (a tax) on personal and commercial savings accounts, one of the few remaining tools in his tool box to spark the economy he says.

Negative interest on savings accounts will allow banks to lend money without charging interest. The first in line for these loans will be federal, provincial and municipal governments. Money supply problem solved, at least temporarily. However federal and provincial governments never retire their debt, they take on new debt to pay back the old. Over time, negative interest rates become a virtual nationalization of private savings, to the delight of hardline socialist in the NDP and Liberal parties I’m sure. If we don’t soon throw a net over our politicians and their environmental buddies they will kill Canada’ prosperity and we will all suffer for it. We have too recognize who we are and that resource development sustains us. Wake up Canada!

Note to Justin Trudeau. Now that you have freed Canadian Scientists please allow them to speak at a press conference so they can repeat their oh so scientific remarks as reported endlessly on the CBC that it is indisputable that the climate is changing. The rest of the scientific community want to know who these puppets are and needs a good laugh.

Most people won’t actually say they don’t believe in Climate Change because the fear of being ostracized….Because of the false narrative on local news/schools etc…And the fear of some Global Warming fanatic boss that might see this piece and fire them or such….

sound familiar?

Some people are so stupid it hurts! Any rational person knows CO2 isn’t a pollutant. How do they explain climate change prior to industrialization and combustion engines?

It’s cute when they go out to prove a point, are proven wrong, and are forced to spin it somehow (usually badly) to pick up the scraps. The Rebel’s encounters beyond their little fan club are always shocking to them when they’re reminded of their fringe status.

You’ve got to laugh at those climate change hypocrites, like the woman in this clip who thinks it’s a great idea, but when asked if she would consider biking or take transit, she has to think about her answer, so that tells you right there she’s lying , but of course that’s not an option for her because she’s a very busy mom. Sure lady, I was born yesterday.
I would not be filling up there ever, because I don’t like being insulted.

Yup, same old, same old…EVERYONE is SO concerned with global warming, but it sure won’t change their habits…must be left up to everyone else I guess.

Last Friday the UN issued a statement, stating and admitting, “Since 2014 the average global temperature has been falling” This is very surprising when you cosider that the average global temperature has not changed for the last two decades. The UNs figures were showing a lot higher temperatures than what was reality. They have at last realized that to many people have become aware of the true facts and are now ,on paper, allowing temperatures to fall into the realms of reality. So, Notley and Wynne and all the rest of you con artists, shove your Carbon Tax up where the sun don’t shine. You are all nothing but a bunch of left wing, money gouging scam artists.

Yes but the UN will give them some kind of a trophy.

Waste of time, stickers do nothing except make someone who sells them some money.
