Northern Alberta man on trek to Legislature to bring attention to jobless families

Jason Dubrule is a man on a mission. The Falher area man is walking from his home in Northern Alberta to the Legislature buildings to bring awareness to families that are losing their homes in the economic downturn.

Jason is lucky. He still has a job but he’s concerned that Rachel Notley’s taxes and debt are strangling Alberta small businesses and harming families who are struggling with unemployment. I caught up to Jason about half way through his 400km journey, just south of Fox Creek. He and two friends were pushing their wagon down the side of highway 43. Despite having been on the road for five days, Jason had a lot to say.

Watch my video to see Jason talk about the physical toll he’s experiencing, the outpouring of support he’s received from the public and his surprise visitor on the road.

Jason Dubrule tells me he wants Alberta families to be as valuable to Rachel Notley as her favourite special interests groups. He wants the Federal Liberals to treat Alberta families as well as they treat Bombardier or the CBC.

I hope to see Jason Dubrule and his war weary wagon on the Legislature steps.

Robert, I have received the same stonewalling from Wildrose when I write to them for clarification. They avoid answering and are too cowardly to openly and honestly declare where they stand.

I’m afraid the wild rose has sold us out. I’ve called them and asked them hard questions which should be easy questions for them, and all I get is we’ll call you back with an answer, which they never do.

Sheila, it was a nice touch that Wildrose MLA Todd Loewen deemed to join Jason for a portion of his trek. However, if the Wildrose Party really wants to stand up for Jason and other Albertans, until they remove subsection D:11 from their Policy Document with respect to the Environment, namely, “reduce greenhouse gases by advancing, implementing, and cooperating on technology, research, conservation, and alternative renewable energy sources”, this is just lip service. I understand that this change with respect to Wildrose’s policy on so-called man-made global warming, a bowing to political correctness, came about at the time when opportunist Danielle Smith was the leader of the Wildrose Party. How can Wildrose stand against the NDP’s bogus Carbon Tax while at the same time declaring there is an imperative to “reduce greenhouse gases”? Leads to hypocrisy when they do so.

What is needed is for 100,000 or more Albertans to really get behind Jason as he approaches the legislature, and I mean literally behind him, that is, physically walking with him, not just offering moral support.

As if Snotley gives a damn about hard working people. And she would have to have shame for this to bother her, so it will not.

Alberta supports you! Be proud for standing up for what you believe in. We should all be.

Jason Dubrule, a good Metis name, from Falher, in the invisible woman’s (aka Energy Minister) riding.

Looks like a real down to earth worker. Missing a front tooth for some reason. Really, he is not the Non-Democratic Party’s type of guy.

Even though the champagne socialists say they are for the real person, Jason probably drinks beer. As far as being represented by the invisible woman? She is too busy hiding so as to top off her full teachers’ pension that was augmented as a college V.P. through her post-retirement gig as a surprise Non-Democratic Party Crown Minister.

Go Jason. God speed and the best of luck. Do the people around Fairview still like their hometown girl?. According to a reliable source she was the town clown growing up,apparently a real nutcase. March on Jason and give the catchers mitt a blast when you hit the big E. There was some reason to admire a bit of what her dad did but this flake is taking us of the deep end and she and her merry band of idiots must be stopped.
