NOT incompetence but worldview - First 100 days of Liberals remaking Canada in their far left progressive image

Brian LilleyRebel Co-Founder

Justin Trudeau's Liberal government is celebrating 100 days in office since the big swearing in ceremony!

The Media Party is celebrating with them, providing lots of fawning coverage on the awesomeness of it all, highlighting their “achievements”. I don't recall media marking Harper’s first 100 days, other than to perhaps say there’d be an election any day now.

But, back to the amazing Trudeau Liberals because I want to focus on what’s driving them.

Conservatives tend to dismiss Trudeau as an incompetent idiot but he and his idiot friends won the election so while Justin may not be the intellectual Pierre was, he’s not dumb.

We need to stop dismissing his ideas and policy actions as “stupid” and realize that they’re the actions of someone with a particular worldview who does know what he’s doing.

Justin Trudeau and his team may be wrong and making mistakes but they’re NOT blindly flailing about. They’re quickly remaking Canada in their own image.

When Trudeau sends out ministers like McKenna and Carr to put up roadblocks to building pipelines, they understand the problems they’ll cause but they’re acting on their core beliefs as stated so clearly by Gerald Butts before he entered the political world.

Ministers talk about moving Canada to a low carbon economy because they want us out of the oil industry as Butts and Marlo Raynolds wanted when they led environmental groups which is now the view that informs government policy.

Besides the return of the long form census, their other boast is “Canada is back” on the world stage, even breaking out the champagne in celebration for UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon’s visit.

Canada never left. We’ve always had the world’s respect even under Harper. It was the UN types with their particular worldview who didn’t like Canada then because we differed in our outlook.

Under Harper Canada still participated at the UN, was a major donor to the UN World Food Program, second in resettling UN refugees, but his foreign policy put more emphasis on the G7, the G20, NATO.

They prefer Trudeau because he wants Canada to cozy up to the UN since he shares their belief in global governance in a way that Harper did not.

It isn't incompetence it is a worldview.

You’ll see it in all of the Liberal policies and positions:

Tax the rich? Not because it works but because it fits the UN worldview;
Pull our jets home and stop bombing ISIS? It’s not about money, it’s the worldview.

In short, Justin Trudeau holds all the correct progressive positions of the day but he is not your father's kind of progressive but the new generation of the sort we see on campuses across North America.

He’s a far left progressive and that’s what has driven his first 100 days. Not incompetence, not a lack of brains but his worldview and we would do well to understand that worldview, so we can counter it instead of dismissing them all as fools.

Progressivism/socialism/communism is a big government disease……Trudeau and his extremist left wing regime are but a symptom.
commented 2016-02-15 01:24:39 -0500
Here Brian argues that it is not Justin Trudeau’s incompetence or stupidity that are driving his woeful government agenda, it’s his worldview.
Agreed, but this is just a fallacy of bifurcation. Trudeau’s governmental policies are stupid precisely because his worldview is; his silly agenda obviously flows from his silly view of the world.
commented 2016-02-14 16:20:11 -0500
Yes Trudeau had a view and it is ridiculous. He is indeed an idiot and a sellout. He is an embarrassment to Canada and the real Canadians who live here.
commented 2016-02-14 09:29:50 -0500
Canada on the world stage – a laughing stock for the rest of the civilized world! Canada on the world stage – lead by an airy-fairy escapee from la-la-land as seen by the rest of the civilized world! Canada’s world view runs along oblivious of the realities of history concerning such mindless ideological idiocy! Qualifications of Canada’s Prime Miscreant – not high enough to operate a public school kindergarten! Does he know what he is doing – as much as can be so out a rose-coloured drug induced fog! The problem is that intelligent Canadians are being hindered by political correctness from fighting back and working to get this imbecile off of the podium before our country is destroyed!
commented 2016-02-13 22:41:32 -0500
That’s quite a bit of damage for 100 days. The three musty queers are certainly doing a number on what used to be Canada. So hard to build, so easy to destroy. God will have a special place for these people.
commented 2016-02-13 17:47:52 -0500
Justin said he wanted Canadians to tell him how well he did during his 100 days.
I think he stinks, is an embarrassment to Canada.
Forcing our Military out of their homes to be replaced by refugees.
When the hatred sets in and the smiles disappear, what next. Perhaps the unthinkable. Suicide bombers.

Well, Mr. Lilley, you have upset me and riled me with this analysis of our prime minister and his Liberal co-horts. After hearing this, I am inclined to believe that: a) you have been radicalized to the “world view”; b) someone is making you “knuckle under”; or c) there is more to “gain” from not criticizing this man and his policies!
Wow! This video is surely receiving and will receive all kinds of kudos from the “progressive left”! I have the impression that we are now going to have a concerted effort on the part of the REBEL to get the die-hard Conservative to change our “personal view” in favor of your “world view”! If that happens, you will have lost me as a supporter.

Oh, by the way, I taught school in Quebec for 44 years, and part of the whole emphasis behind the curriculum being taught always involved being able to show “the world view” From the QEP “Helping students construct a world-view, construct an identity and become empowered are the three aims of the Québec Education Program. These aims reflect the school’s mission. They provide a common direction for all educational measures and convey the sense that schools do more than give students academic tools; they also enable them to set goals for their lives and prepare them to contribute to society.
So, personally, I have no objections to this in the context of education, I strongly feel that our country will cease to exist if it is governed according to the Liberal’s concept of “world view”!

You are 100% correct,Brian. I tell people that all the time. But I would argue that Trudeau would be nothing with out the puppet masters behind the curtain.

Thanks for that wise advise Brian!
Yes, you are correct and manys a time I have let my anger get ahead of the real problem with this government! It is very aggravating however, it would be far better to deal wisely with the reality, than to think we are dealing with stupidity, what we are dealing with here is cunning Communism!

I understand the Rebel likes the smug-ass pics of the boy blunder but I get so riled when I see that look on its’ face. and I use “its” because I believe Justine trudeau to be gender fluid and I would not want to pigeon-hole him with gender-based pronouns.

All the pot heads who never voted in their lives turned up on droves to vote Trudeau due to his promise to legalize. Come election time with no legal weed they will return to the couch to play vids and all those votes will be gone. Then I trust Canadians will to do the right thing and Jr. will get the boot.

Murders (and terrorists) may be “competent at getting what they want”, but hardly deserving of praise or admiration for achieving their goal! Again, Brian points out that Trudeau and his cohorts shouldn’t be dismissed as incompetent idiots who don’t know what they are doing or what they are trying to accomplish.
commented 2016-02-13 02:39:07 -0500
Or those of sound logic.. Concerned of ill policy!
commented 2016-02-13 02:22:44 -0500
It is good to see a video like this one. The rebel needs more videos like these, where it shows that left wing politicians are competent at getting what they want, even though it greatly upsets those that are right of center.

Many tend to dismiss Trudeau as stupid or an idiot or incompetent in light of his actions. Brian, I am pleased that you are pointing out that, “We need to stop dismissing his ideas and policy actions as ‘stupid’ and realize that they’re the actions of someone with a particular worldview who does know what he’s doing.” Now, he and his leftist cohorts are certainly “useful idiots” (as per Lenin), but what they are doing is aligned with a far-left ‘progressive’ (code word for socialist) worldview. Consider how well-aligned what his government is doing with what was found in the 2015 Election Platform of the Communist Party of Canada (CPC), which included combating supposed man-made ‘climate change’ (née global warming), a key component of its agenda, in the words of the CPC’s leader, Miguel Figueroa, “to fight for really fundamental change in our country – not just cosmetic change – to open the door to socialism”. And, according to Figueroa, “The first step (was) to defeat the Harper Tories and to open up space for further advance, further progressive change; many of the problems we face are related to inherent features of capitalism.” Remember, that Trudeau promised “Real Change”! Remember Trudeau’s adviser, Gerald Butts, saying that “the real alternative is an alternative economy”, which Brian points out is “what Liberals think, their worldview”.
With respect to “The response of the Communist Party to the refugee crisis”, Figueroa called for Canada accepting a large number (which Trudeau is doing) and pointed out that “the Harper government has been playing on and pandering to xenophobia and fear of the refugees, promoting Islamophobia, to promote their wars abroad. Must stop participating in these wars (which Trudeau has done) and worsening climate change and the economic conditions that give rise to refugees”, the latter, not unlike Bernie Sanders, a self-described socialist and ‘progressive’ having declared that climate change is the greatest national security threat America faces, saying “Absolutely. In fact, climate change is directly related to the growth of terrorism.”
Figueroa’s explanation, as per the CPC’s election platform, as to “How would the Communist Party combat climate change?”, included the following actions:
- First of all, would immediately stop any new development on the Alberta tar sands and close down within 5 years.
- No to dangerous pipelines (Enbridge, Kinder Morgan, Line 9, Energy East, etc.) Hmm, the Trudeau and Notley government have taken such positions.
- Moratorium on exploration and development of shale gas through fracking.
- Instead, would create jobs through renewable energy while phasing our coal (a promise made by Notley), nuclear energy and reliance on fossil fuels (as per Trudeau’s adviser, Gerald Butts, “Truth be told we don’t think there ought to be a carbon-based energy industry by the middle of this century. That’s our policy in Canada”)
- Would fund high-speed rail connections (Remember Notley’s NDP having floated the idea of building a monorail between Calgary and Edmonton.)
- Transition to a sustainable environment in order to reduce the impact on climate change and Canada’s contribution to it.
- Put people and the environment first, not profits (this last one is a cruel joke considering the massive job loss in Alberta!)
Noteworthy and uncanny how well what the Communists want for this country aligns with what Notley in Alberta and the other politicians on the ‘progressive’ bandwagon, including Trudeau, want! As I so often say, ‘birds of a feather flock together’.

I agree with Brian, other than, “The Liberals won the Election” The Liberals did not win the Election, They purchased it and also had a lot of help from the UN.

It is the UN who are running the Liberals and the UN’s agenda is Marxism and Islamic.

We are in for some turbulent times, our future is bleak.

The Liberals have always been the UN party. They never run on any kind of platform because their platform is dictated by the UN. The media has never called them out on this.

I always put this out when the UN is mentioned

See who runs the UN and spread the word – send it to everyone you know.

Brian can you please pick up a story on this and explain to our partisan media outlet that narcissism is generally frowned upon, especially on the world stage. I mean spinning social media to favor him provided a seat in office, yet it has also painted quite clearly who these liberals are and what they represent.
