Notley NDP announce success of Canada-Alberta Job Grant (created by PCs, Conservatives)

Holly NicholasRebel Commentator

The Alberta NDP issued a news release about the Canada-Alberta Job Grant a few days ago. The program allows employers to choose employees to be trained with one-third of the cost covered by the government up to a maximum of $10,000.

So far, according to the news release, 5,700 applications have been approved by 2,400 employers and there have been 11,000 courses approved for the program.

Doesn’t it sound like the NDP are finally doing something right? Well, not so fast.

The Canada-Alberta Job Grant is working and it’s helped thousands of Albertans increase their skills, but once again, the NDP are recycling another announcement and riding on the coattails of a program that was introduced by the provincial Progressive Conservatives and the federal Conservatives.

The only jobs the NDP have created are for their buddies in the public sector. But, this is their new tactic - reuse successful policies created by former governments to cover up for their inaction and desperation.

Don’t be fooled. We’ve seen time and again that the NDP simply can’t keep their promises.

Good Lord! Spare us! Do you have to have the mugs of these two draconian criminals (Wynne and Notley) presented to us together in the same photograph? It’s like a photo of Naom Chomsky and Michael Moore together. Or Stephen Lewis and his wife Michelle Landsberg. Or Justin Trudeau and Barack Obama. Or……………………..Well, your photograph shows the truth. Birds of a feather and all that.

Good thinking, giving job grants after killing resource industry jobs – of course the only “industry” in a commie province is big government.- so yeah this is a prime example of fascist economics with govt. and its union supporters raiding the public purse to expand government.

While I almost always oppose Jay Kelly’s socialist views, it’s good to see his calm and (often) literate responses. We all must be tolerant of free speech, especially when it’s not full of rude and ridiculous verbiage.
Us conservative thinkers are opposed to ideas by Jay Kelly/Trudeau/Notley because we fear going down the path of Europe and Venezuela. They dream the dream, but reality does not give examples of a long-term socialist utopia.
Canada is “kind of” a socialist utopia now (before the last election). Let’s not ruin it by destroying the conservative/free speech, gender equality rights, and free market aspects of our history and culture. I’m afraid Trudeau/Notley/Wynne are trying their best to destroy those vital parts of what makes us proud of Canada and blessed to be Canadians.

Rachel Notley, Kathleen Wynne and Justin Trudeau. Ya, we’re in good hands. No worries here. LOL

P.S… I hope that by now all Albertans and their kids are sporting THE NOTLEY on their catcher’s mitts…

JAY KELLY… quote:- “Time to remind Notley that the Progressive Conservative proposals were absolutely absurd.”… Well maybe not entirely Jay… Flawed certainly, given their tap-dancing and broken electoral promises, but when it comes to “ABSURD” then you have the Queen Bee of ABSURD now warming her queenly butt in the premier’s chair in Redmonton…

Jay. There is one thing that I am reflecting on at this moment. How the fuck did you ever get hired to do any kind of work? Were you a cleaner in the mental ward? That’s maybe one job where you would fit in with the crowd.

NDP, you and your socialist “brethren” should pause for a moment of reflection.

Your socialist heroes are not with you now, and you know it.

Jay, your processor is jammed up with bullshit. Stick a power washer hose to your ear and see if you can flush out whatever the hell is stuck in your noggin.

NDP, good to hear from you.

Give some thought to what others have said and to what you yourself have said.

In many ways The Rebel calls us to be accountable. Name-calling is not good enough.

Hey Jay. How goes the meds. You should lay off that expensive stuff. It is playing havoc with your melon.

It could be argued that the Notley government gave up on its ideals and caved in to the Progressive Conservative predecessors. Albertans turfed out the Progressive Conservatives exactly because of such hair-brained ideas.

Time to remind Notley that the Progressive Conservative proposals were absolutely absurd.

She took that out of JT’s playbook. Our Dear Leader PM has been taking credit for Conservative successes under Harper for quite some time now.

Didn’t Ontario have this same program in the early ’90’s . The person being hired had to be an immigrant, on pogy or a welfare bum. Call Centres made a killing.
But this is training. . Totally different. This is more interesting. This is actual Training . Hopefully it means training on the job. . Probably an excellent program.
I have watched so many of my kid’s friend spent 2 to 4 years in Journalism -and not one has a job even remotely related . Their money was wasted. Their aspirations squandered . There is just no place for them and no jobs.
These kids are smarter than people give them credit for and they don’t all live in mommy’s basement. Would it not be great if some type of Media would give them a chance to be heard ? I for one would love to hear their opinions . They might just surprise the hell out of everybody.
This sounds like a great program and an excellent opportunity for any media to offer an opportunity for the youth to give their opinion .
