It appears Greece isn't just financially unstable, but morally unstable too.
Athens Officials are claiming that if they fail to build a mosque in the Greek capital that they will be targeted by Islamic terrorists.
In 2006 a law passed requiring taxpayers to foot the bill for a mosque in Votanikos, near the city center. However, the project was held back by multiple appeals against it.
“It is exactly because of the recent terrorist attacks that we have to move quickly to construct the mosque in Athens,” a government official told Ekathimerini.
