Ontario Federation of Labour donates $53,500 towards terrorist Omar Khadr's legal bills

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

The Ontario Federation of Labour is an umbrella group of one million unionized workers in Ontario, mainly government union workers.

Omar Khadr’s lawyer, Dennis Edney, gave a keynote speech at a big OFL meeting.

Khadr is a murderer, a terrorist.

He’s out on bail right now, while he makes an absurd, long-shot appeal.

Dennis Edney told the Ontario Federation of Labour that Khadr is “wonderful attribute to the Canadian Mosaic.”

No he’s not. He’s an unrepentant murderer.

He hasn’t renounced Al Qaida or terrorism. He hasn’t denied building IEDs or killing Sgt. Speer.

But believe it or not, the OFL took $53,500 of their members union dues, and gave it to Edney, to help pay Khadr’s legal bills.

I wonder what their members think.

John Zealand great point, i guess he pretty much admitted it, still i doubt he has the comprehensive ability to understand that you just used logic in such a fashion.

Paul Ramage why are you lefties so obsessed with shoving things up backside? Is there a secret you need to tell us?
commented 2015-11-30 13:00:49 -0500
This should be a illegal, or at least subject to a vote by the members, since it is their money, not the executives. This should be challenged. Are their any good lawyers left out there?
commented 2015-11-30 12:40:18 -0500
This “lawyer” is a real prize. He has all the arrogance of Trudeau and his contempt for Canadian common sense is obvious when you hear his rants about protecting convicted terrorist Khadr. He should be on the terrorist watchlist for Canada.

A “useful idiot” only does what a socialist “useful idiot” does! And their puppeteers gleefully applaud what they do.
commented 2015-11-30 08:35:49 -0500
Paul Ramage, so you do agree the Khadr is a murdering terrorist that could kill Canadians.

ANDY NEIMERS, “It’s interesting to speculate, that given the choice, and put to a democratic vote, the majority of the rank and file in the OFL would have granted $53,500 for Khadr’s legal bills, or….”. Key words, “….if given the choice…”. Andy, agreed, that if given a democratic vote, one seriously wonders if the rank and file would have voted for such a use ( misuse ) of their union dues. However, as per the draconian, backwards union process in Canada, I understand that the rank and file have no choice in the matter, but the choice is left to the discretion of the left-wing union bosses. Even worse , such action, represents a sign of weakness or a green light in the face of Islamic terrorists or potential Islamic terrorists in our midst, serves to embolden them! The next time there is a terrorist attack in Canada, which could, as well, take the lives of rank and file union members and their families, not likely the bosses, the OFL would be complicit in supporting such terrorism! Traitors

Is that all you got Ramage? Tell me, what’s it like to be a Lefty – the violent stupid half of society??

What the union has done is misappropriate funds, and if I were a member I’d lay a private charge of Breach of Trust.

The public sector employees are supposed to be working for us, the citizens ,not some ethereal entity called government and certainly not for entities called unions. Actually, they are not our employees. They are employed by the unions , nothing more than contract employees who pay dues to force us to pay them more money and even worse take our money to elect politicians to ensure they extract the maximum from us.
We , the citizens like to think of ourselves as honest decent people, a society that would look after those that work in our behalf. Yet the public sector unions paint us as an ogrish employer forcing employees to work in such squalid conditions as schools and office buildings. It’s a complete joke. Our tax dollars go to pay people to point the figurative gun in our face and rob us on a daily basis. Case in point, the OPP, our Ontario Political Police. Through their Association , a nice word for union, they actively canvassed and advertized for the Liberal party, who they knew would reward them post election. What a scam.
If you want proof , just drive by a school or police parking lot. Filled with nice cars. The closest these oppressed workers come to an old jalopy is when they visit Havana for a vacation.
FDR warned that public sector unions would destroy democracy, and he was the biggest fat LIB of them all. He was right, we are so screwed , OMG we are so screwed.

Hope Mr Khadr shoves an IED up Ezras ass NOW that would be good Rebel News lol

It’s interesting to speculate, that given the choice, and put to a democratic vote, the majority of the rank and file in the OFL would have granted $53,500 for Khadr’s legal bills, or to the widow and orphan son of Sgt. Christopher Speer who Khadr killed in 2002? Would have been very “telling”…

Tax Free money, this is a crime as far as i am concerned. If these unions want to do this kind of garbage then give up your tax free status.

Dennis Edney told the Ontario Federation of Labour that Khadr is “a wonderful attribute to the Canadian Mosaic.” Edney, unfortunately, left out a few key words in that statement, a corrected version follows: Khadr is “a wonderful attribute to the left-wing enabled, progressive, politically-correct Canadian Mosaic.”
commented 2015-11-30 00:46:34 -0500
What’s in it for the union to give that much money away?
commented 2015-11-29 22:16:43 -0500
Just further evidence that the Unionists like their fellow terrorists over and above the Canadian public! Is this terrorist a benefit to the Canadian Mosaic? He certainly is for the Unionists, NDP, and left-wing substandard humans such as our Prime Miscreant who really loves terrorists and hates the Canadians and their values who formed this country in the first place!
commented 2015-11-29 21:48:51 -0500
I used to pay dues to IBEW for well over a decade. I strongly disagreed with them using my dues to prop up the NDP, but they never listened. This is nothing new for the big unions to be completely out of touch with the membership. The fat bosses who sit back and rake in the money, from all the hard working union membership, have an agenda that is very often in contrast to the wishes and beliefs of those members. Unions are no longer an advocate for a collective work force, they are just another layer of the political elite class, who lean far left. An organization that taxes the members, and returns nothing of substance any more.

Ontario, you really want him? Please petition the courts to take him. A majority of Albertans want him no where near our civilians. We will include his weight in Carbon Trades. :-p

Public sector union or private sector union, merely euphemisms for organized crime and communism.
And now friends of Islamic terrorists and traitors everywhere…

It is really scary to watch unions evolve into political animals. Democracy is dead when unions, media and interest groups can effect the outcome of elections. This should be illegal.
Harper was gunned down in the street by these goons.
commented 2015-11-29 16:41:20 -0500
Union members have caused this sort of travesty to come to pass by not holding their leadership to account…or maybe they have and they agree with it?

Either way, this is another example in a growing list of why Canada is increasingly dysfunctional and in need of a major shake-up.

Why do you show a picture of Omar Khadr’s lawyer, Dennis Edney? He’s just part of the money trail. You should be posting the names and pictures of the Leaders of the OFL. They caused this to happen. It was their decision and responsibility. Any person can give money to Khadr or Edney — that’s no crime. It’s the OFL that’s being either unlawful or unethical by spending OFL funds for non-OFL business. And the OFL is too anonymous; don’t let these unethical leaders hide behind the organization’s name. (Or do they have a large slush fund to hire lawyers to keep their identity secret? — that’s part of the Canadian Mosaic and Culture as well, isn’t it)
commented 2015-11-29 16:13:27 -0500
Maybe in Ontario, supporting and giving freedom to unrepentant terrorists and murderers, and using funds never intended for this purpose by a Provincial organization whose members are required by Labour Law to join — IS part of the Canadian Mosaic and Culture — at least in Ontario.

was a member of the unions for 33years….what the fuck is going on? we pay our dues for the workers of the world not a MURDERER!…..the union members maybe should go back to the trenches to remember where they came from….oh I forgot….they never worked in the real world…my past brothers would have dragged them out of their ivory towers what an insult to the working!
