“Big Brother is literally watching you”: OPP calls writer who made fun of them on Twitter

Rebel Staff

It couldn't be more like George Orwell's novel "1984": The Ontario Provincial Police told people, via Twitter, that they should "think" before they tweet; don't write "unkind" things, for example.

Toronto conservative activist Stephen Taylor made fun of this warning on Twitter -- and someone from the OPP phoned him about it!

Drew Wakiuk: I agree. The police need to look at what is happening around the world. I wouldn’t put too much confidence in the government when you see them so willingly throw them under the bus when the spotlight is turned on their practices. They better make sure they are on the right side of the law and when it comes to free speech just wait until the civil liberties associations get involved.

Ontario Political Police , i hope they realize this will make people more afraid to help them when the time comes that they are left out as cannon fodder by their political masters.

Funny how the left loves the charter , WHEN IT SUITS THEM.

I honestly don’t see where the police have the resources to track down every bad tweet and wonder if they have any guidelines about how to execute this fairly or is this just a deflection from the government’s badly thought out refugee problems.

True: Is it True? That will always be the subject of great debate.
Hurtful: Sometime the truth hurts and sometimes not telling the truth can be even more harmful.
Illegal: Is it illegal? Is reporting the truth illegal? Seems we are headed that direction.
Necessary: What a subjective topic.
Kind: Is it kind. Is it kind covering up real world problems at the expense of those left to fend for themselves. Hey I don’t like every mean spirited comment made by people but if they are not making death threats or physical threats or inciting violence I don’t see how this is the business of law enforcement.

The police are becoming the enemy of the people and the sword of the government.

And the police seem to love it.

……Just a minute…..I have refrained from naming a particular jurisdiction’s policy enforcement department….for a reason…..

But something just occured to me……if you name them and give them a gauntlet slap…..then “by the ancient laws of combat” (starts at 2:42)……:-)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADmX9eMEV9U

So by responding directly to them…“by the ancient laws of combat” (wherein OFFER and ACCEPTANCE are simply replaced with CHALLENGE and ACCEPTANCE….Ezra’s friend may have been perceived as someone who accepted a challenge……..:-)

So what did they say to him exactly?

Has there been a Law passed, banning Free Speech ? If not the OPP should stick to their job of apprehending criminals. If they are working on the instructions of the Marxist Wynne, then we truly have reverted to the Dark Age of Dictatorship,

Goodbye OPP hello KGB and Eff U Wynne.

@jay KELLY…..Imagine…if you have an imagination…a country where the lawfull authority of policy enforcement comes from lawfull mandate….and outside of that lawfull mandate….it is none of the policy enforcers fucking business….

Imagine the OPP asking people to “think” before they tweet. What kind of creatures do they think they are dealing with?
commented 2016-04-02 14:28:47 -0400
What authority did they invoke when they made the call? What is the REBEL’s response? Where is the petition? Has John Carpay been informed? When did it become unlawfull to criticise the police? Has anyone from theREBEL been in contact with the PR section of the OPP?

The real question here is “who is directing the police to take these actions?” The overwhelming majority of Canadian peace officers are conservative by nature and training and would find it abhorrent to involve themselves in this. Some individual or politician is behind what is occurring. It is essential that we find out exactly who it is.

the best thing to do is not have a cell phone and never be on twitter or face book ether. these are things i refuse to use and anybody who dose will always be subject to being anal scoped like this on a regular basis. welcome to the fucking new world order.

Ezra — I admire the restraint of your response. I try to keep it clean as well…if I started swearing about our current economic/political/cultural/social situation, I fear I would never be able to stop. One of the few things that gives me hope is the success of RebelMedia and I’m proud to be a premium member. Keep up the great work!

OPP?

In wynne’s pocket for the most part.

A few good men and many that are not worth the time of day.

The police are not your friend – best to give them wide berth at all times.

T.H.I.N.K.

TRUE – Trudeau, Wynne and Notley are all brain-dead.
HURTFUL – I hope so.
ILLEGAL – Only in the minds of the thought police.
NECESSARY – Hell yeah.
KIND – (Compliment time) All three listed above are good and kind people … good for nothing and KIND of stupid. (OK – not exactly a compliment.)
