Pay for your own nanny, Justin! PLUS China & Russia

Rebel Staff

The Liberal government just issued two executive orders, using taxpayers' money to hire not one, but two nannies for Justin Trudeau’s children.

These orders were back-dated to the day Trudeau was sworn in. So this is literally the very first thing he ordered the government to do. Not, for example, to provide drinking water for Indian reserves, as he promised.

Tonight, I'll tell you all the things wrong with this situation, and I'll answer all the Liberal talking points Trudeau's defenders are using on Twitter and elsewhere.

For one thing, Trudeau is rich enough to be able to pay these nannies himself.

And during his campaign, Trudeau made a big deal about not taking government money for childcare. Rich men like him didn’t need subsidized child care, remember?

There's a lot more. I'll tell you all about it and talk about our NEW campaign, which let you speak your mind and help other Canadians do the same thing: PayForYourOwnNanny.ca

My first guest is Aurel Braun, Professor of International Relations at University of Toronto and expert in all things Russia. We talk about whether or not we should give Putin any credit for attacking ISIS.

Then Charles Burton, China Expert and Professor at Brock University, is back. This time we pick up a story I covered earlier: Miss World Canada's fight for human rights in China and the threats her family has been getting as a result.

Of course, I finish off with your letters, positive and negative -- and address the issues raised by one very passionate negative message I received about a particularly infuriating story I covered.

JT did live up to his word, he gave the pay off Harper doled out to families to charity just as he said he would. Personal staff comes with the office, as it should. Do you want him to greet world leaders in a Kia? And entertain them from a duplex? Harper burned through an extra 160 Billion in 9 years in hand outs to HIS corporate donors but you guys forget that. He ruined our global reputation and was well on his way to selling us out to foreign corporations. He gave Chinese corps the right to sue us if we enact laws that affect their profits. But you guys forget that. At least JT wants to keep Canada Canadian and not ‘Murican lite. He doesn’t want to sell our water to the highest bidder. He doesn’t want to rape our resources for 10 years of profit. He doesn’t want to censor and silence scientists because he doesn’t like their facts. Long live JT and never again to the likes of Herr Harper, the CPC and their fascist cronies!

Ken Clement – I hope you realize that Ezra read out Nathan W’s comment on his show, right? Ezra even said that he enjoys reading hate mail, as it shows that his critics are tuning in.

You can tell Nathan to go to CBC, but he is here for a reason. Maybe it is because the CBC has started to ban its viewers from posting comments on some of its topics, such as aboriginal issues. We here at the rebel will be happy to engage somebody like Nathan on the topic of Harper clamping down on the aboriginals in areas like reserve finances, or the completely pointless inquiry. Can’t do that on the CBC.

Welcome to the new Canadian home of free speech.

Hey Sam

I am one of those who is completely banned from cbc and am on a warning from ctv and the huff post.

I have never ranted, always written coherently and never called anyone names – I also always tried to back my comments with proof that a person can immediately look up if they doubt me- however my comments were deemed to be not worthy.

It seems that one MUST follow the agenda of the censors in the comments sections of various news outlets or one is not allowed to speak.

Simply more proof that the media is even more biased than the unwashed public knows.

Oh boy this is wonderful news! And but too bad the PM won’t hire 4 more for an even half-dozen, at our taxpayers’ expenses of course. It’s said a rolling stone gathers no moss, but a little Sinclair? Check one for ‘Gathered.’ So, granny is, well, delicately put – kind of sort of a shade of grey on the old black and white hussy scale, while mom, well, kind of sort of previously a binge eater slash bathroom throat-fingerer, all in the name of serious inadequacy, shame harboring, and mommy daddy issues, so? Then you’ve got pappy there, all dolled up like Han Solo for Halloween… what’s that, a smuggler with giant wig for a best friend? Look, those kids being attended to by those 2 publicly funded nannies – they’ve got many years of serious counseling ahead of them. Adjustment disorders up the wazoo. Psychologically they are already feeling the crush because mommy and daddy are incapable/unwilling to do their god given or at least biologically imperative duties to take full care of them without relying on outside parental assistance; furthermore the family’s white as snow DNA doesn’t quite mesh with the help, and that exacerbates the ‘who are we and where are we going’ insecurity complex. You see people Trudeau’s age just don’t understand that kids actually understand these things. They also don’t understand that you can understand something unconsciously even if you don’t understand it consciously. “Mommy and daddy weren’t strong enough to take care of me on their own, they never gave me the full attention that I cried out for, so I guess I’m gonna be a drug addicted rock-star now. That will show them!” Having a nanny is one thing, not paying for the nanny from your own pocket… when the full force of the intrinsic weakness in that hits those kids later on, woah. A day of reckoning will be in order. So I say the more the merrier, bring in a whole dozen nannies, a baker’s dozen even – all payed for with tax monies! The damage from the damning self awareness will be such that we will pretty much guarantee no Trudeau progeny will be mentally capable of standing up and making public speeches, speeches full of lies or otherwise, and for the low low price of a dozen nannies, we will be Trudeau-Free in the long-run (35 years from now). It’s a small price compared to the fiscal damage we seem to be in store for in the short-run.

The MSM slipped up today and reported that Trudeau used to pay the same two nannies to look after his kids, before he became PM. So now that he is PM and is raking in over $300,000 a year salary, he can’t afford it? He whined not long ago that Harper was being too generous to the well-off like himself, who he said didn’t need taxpayer largess in the form of tax breaks that Harper’s tax policy was providing to people like him. Now suddenly he needs taxpayers’ money for his kids’ nannies? What a phony, what a hypocrite this guy is. Yes, with his and his wife’s official functions, nannies likely are a necessity, but let him live up to his word and pay for them himself. Or let him resign.

This only proves, Trudeau actually doesn’t comprehend what he says; if he did, he would realize the utter hypocrisy. Trudeau, is giving a script and told to use his acting lessons and read it with conviction. Trudeau doesn’t see a conflict, he actually thinks it is normal to have a couple of nannies; was normal, driving to school,, in a million dollar car, giving to him by his daddy. He has no idea what the middle class are and never will. This only proves Trudeau is a puppet and the progressives last chance for power, in two or three years, people do not see real change now, progressives are done. Conservatives be fearless, think Trump, Rob Ford.

TWO Nannies … for three children … what a wonderful Middle-Class Nanny-state we live in !!!

Nathan W: Hilarious comment you posted. Typical leftist attempt to spin this around and deflect the attention onto someone else (Harper). Your lame attempt to defend Mr Stupid’s outright scam to defraud the Canadian people of their hard earned tax dollars is pathetic. You’re in the wrong website. You’d be much more comfortable over at the CBC where all of the Liberal trolls gather daily to give prayers to their hero Trudeau and spew hatred at anything from the Right. After having to listen to anti Harper lies and dribble from people like you for the past 9 years, all I can say to you is “STFU”!

Not half as bad as Harper’s expensive photo ops and personal groomer that we all paid for for years. But then again, Harper never could do any wrong in Ezra’s eyes. Harper’s waste was money spent wisely in his eyes.
Not that The Rebel is ever biased or anything.

Ezra – I owe you a small apology. For years now, you have been saying that Justin Trudeau’s inherited car was worth~ $1 Million. I was skeptical….so I did some digging and the cheapest 1957 Mercedes-Benz 300sl Roadster in similar condition was on sale for EUR 850,000.00 (or CAD$1.2 Million). WOW – and he is too cheap to pay for his own nannies.

Justin putting a new spin on the Liberal nanny state….

Interesting that Harper took measures to ensure that controlling interest in our natural resources by China would not happen.

This was one of the cornerstones of the lefties’ bleating about Harper’s policies. I will not be surprised that Trudeau would not throw out those measures, and the left will nod in glazed-eyed agreement.
commented 2015-12-02 11:20:11 -0500
Great show again Ezra, but I won’t be signing your petition urging Justin to pay for his children’s nannies. I’m okay with staffing the official residence of our nation’s leader with appropriate household help, including some help with looking after the kids, if need be. I consider the official residence to be a part of a PM’s workplace and that the staff that comes with it to be an appropriate perk for the job.
What pisses me off is this boy’s already well-reported vote-pandering hypocrisy and lies that have caused him to paint himself into this corner.
I say we should pay for the nannies, but petition him instead to RESIGN as PM. Keep the petition rolling while we run up his accompanying tab of lies, gaffes, scandals, hypocrisy and broken promises, for example starting with:
1. Fundraising with “because it’s 2015” Tee-shirts
2. Creating a gender equitable cabinet, but filling all the junior positions with only females
3. Appointing a fake Nobel Prize winner to cabinet
4. Closing the Library of Parliament for a Vogue Magazine photo op.
5. Falsifying the number of Syrian refugees coming to Canada
6. Providing false refugee immigration timelines
7. Telling the BBC that he “works two or three times harder than everyone else”
8. Selling cabinet ministers in a fundraising payola scheme
9. NannyGate
and soon coming down the pipe:
- Naval warship procurement
- Budget forecast inaccuracies
And, I’m sure, many, many more to come.
commented 2015-12-02 10:59:54 -0500
Peter, you might have confused the trolls. You used math and facts, lefties have no comprehension of those two elements.
commented 2015-12-02 10:57:43 -0500
Harper humbly governed for Canada to the best of his ability, Trudeau is a blow-hard who governs for personal aggrandizement. Trudeau’s $2.5 billion to developing countries and $1.2 billion for Syrian refugees is to draw attention to Trudeau personally. It’s not to announce to the world that “Canada is back”, it’s to shout out to the world “look at me”, I’m Pierre Trudeau’s son and I’m going to do everything he did only better.

Drew Wakariuk said to Ron, “Ron Voss do not hold your breath waiting for the liberal media shills to be truthful or show any integrity. You have a better chance winning the lottery.”

Truer words have never been spoken.

An judging by our two leftie trolls, Michael and David, they are just fine with any corruption, lies and broken promises from our new corrupt wannabe communist airhead PM, where if Harper did the same thing they would at this moment be tearing a strip out of him.

Ahhhhh, the twisted perverted mind of the standard leftie troll is a curiosity to behold! How can so many conflicting thoughts churn so turbulently in such a small amount of gray matter?
commented 2015-12-02 09:28:24 -0500
Michael Doll said, “How does the total annual salary (all-in) for the two nannies compare with the one-time Mike Duffy expenses?”

The annual salary of both nannies will be around 80K per year for four years. But Michael , mr. troll sir, it is not the salary that is the problem as much as how Justin preached on not giving the rich the Child Care tax benefit because “we [the rich] do not need it” (Justin’s words) and then he hypocritically uses tax payer money to pay for two nannies. That Michael “Troll” Doll, is the real issue.

The Liberal “entitled to my entitlements” raping of the Canadian tax payer is just beginning and people like Michael Doll and David Kitchen are forefront on defending all our new corrupt communist wannabe PM says and does. Disgusting!
commented 2015-12-02 09:20:56 -0500
David Kitchen said, “The country is now in great hands and in a few years we will forget the pass.”

Don’t spill that Liberal koolaid all over you in your lust to guzzle down as much as possible. You can’t see all the Liberal corruption while that keg of koolaid is blocking your vision.

How does the total annual salary (all-in) for the two nannies compare with the one-time Mike Duffy expenses? Will the coverage be equal?

Sometimes I make myself laugh.
commented 2015-12-02 02:30:05 -0500
Somebody please explain this to me. How does Trudeau or any other PM just decide to spend tax dollars on themselves? Do they get to spend as they wish, or is there some kind of a limit? Is there some kind of a watchdog that keeps an eye on the spending? What process does the PM have to go through for this kind of spending? How did the story of Trudeau using tax dollars to pay for nannies even get out?

Please and thank you.

Ezra, great job telling us the truth on Trudeau.

How on earth did Stephen and Loreen Harper deal with those nuisance children of theirs, when they were both out … maybe they just left out bowls of beer and popcorn with the TV turned on … at least that is how this Rachel Giese makes it sound.

Ron Voss – In my personal opinion Craig Oliver is one of the biggest pieces of excrement in the Media party, Peter Mansbridge is the king of excrement.
