POLL: Most Canadians oppose Omar Khadr's relaxed bail conditions

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

As you know, last week a judge in Alberta relaxed confessed terrorist and convicted war criminal Omar Khadr’s bail conditions.

The judge took off Khadr's tracking anklet, removed police monitoring software from his computer -- and he's now allowed to fly on planes, too.

We set up, petitioning the government to appeal. We also raised funds to do a survey, so Canadians could express their opinions on this outrageous decision.

Now the results are in:

On removing the tracking bracelet on Khadr’s ankle, 67% of Canadians disagree, 45% strongly. On removing the police software on his computer to allow them to monitor what he’s doing, 71% of Canadians disagree, 49% of them strongly. And 60% of Canadians oppose his right to fly on jets — with a majority of Canadians in every province opposing this:

Thank you for supporting our poll. These are the kinds of questions that you know not a single mainstream media outlet would ask. They’re in love with this celebrity terrorist, just like our courts are.

Where in the hell is our conservative government on this matter? Where in the hell is Harper’s balls? I heard that the government of Canada’s favourite little terrorists child from their favourite terrorists family was in Calgary this weekend as a invited guest at the film festival. That means he must have flown? What about the “no fly list”? Funny thing is when I was leaving the coffee shop downtown I seen the really tiny set of balls rolling down the street. I swore to God they belonged to Justin Trudeau Thomas Mulcair but when I picked them up I seen that they were Harper’s lil tiny small balls. So please let Harper know that is pathetic girly balls are hiding in Calgary because they are scared shitless of baby omar and his specially treated/entitled family. BTW remind Harper that he should quickly cut that 10 million dollar cheque for his special omar for the compensation of being a murdering terrorists and all the child suffered as a result.

Alex. Perhaps. But I know what you said.

I guess you had to be there to know what I mean.

No Jimmy, I have a Canadian flag.

“The poll numbers start trickling in at 1:00 pm and stop at 4:00 pm. That is mountain time. "
So (a) this is your unofficial observation, not an actual CBC policy, relating to an uncertain number of polls, and (b) the “mountain time” qualifier and three hour range kind of makes your observation silly.

Fly The Confederate Flag High!

Jimmy, huh? I live in Western Canada, people have not changed to the point that we think we are all Texans. Yes, we do have local ranchers here that wear cowboy hats and cowboy boots, but they are 100 percent Canadian. I live in Manitoba and I can say 15 years of the NDP have made us a have not province. I live close to Saskatchewan and you can see the difference in which province is booming and which one is sucking shit. The right wing Sask. Party has been good for that province. As for me, I admire how Americans love their country and they are not afraid to show their patriotism. I do the same for my country. If that makes me like a Texan or American, guilty as charged! I do prefer the NFL over the CFL, I guess that is Harper’s fault…

Hypothetically speaking – even if I misspoke, I clarified my point.

Apparently in your world – once you say anything, it is written in stone.
commented 2015-09-27 01:42:38 -0400
Sure, Jimmy, sure.
commented 2015-09-27 01:29:52 -0400

Clearly you have comprehension issues. I stated Harper and the small segment of Canadians like Americans from Texas as an addition to Harper. Clearly a “small segment” wouldn’t be enough for Harper to win.

But since I have you here – let me further clarify that I am well aware that fiscally conservative/socially liberal Canadians voted for Harper AS WELL.
commented 2015-09-27 01:20:20 -0400
No Jimmy, your comment clearly implied all the Conservatives that voted for Harper “turned into Americans from Texas.”

You just added the “socially liberal and progressive as can be” in your last comment. But clearly there is no point in arguing with you because in your very minuscule mind you are always right. Your intransigence indicates a slow mind.
commented 2015-09-27 01:19:36 -0400
One other thing that conservatives like to forget – that liberals/progressives have the option to vote for TWO PARTIES. Liberal and NDP – which can unfortunately cancel each other out by one of the Liberal parties not getting enough votes to beat conservatives due to the split. Take away the NDP for example and Liberals would pick up those votes thus crushing Harper.
commented 2015-09-27 01:13:29 -0400

Not all conservatives are like you, so your point is moot. Many are just fiscally conservative, but are as socially liberal and progressive as can be – be it gay marriage, pro-choice and so on.

My comment of Canadians that are like Americans from Texas clearly explained that.
commented 2015-09-27 01:04:18 -0400
Jimmy, that “small segment” is bigger than Jean Chretien’s largest majority.

Liberals – 1993 – 5,647,952 votes
Conservatives – 2011 – 5,832,401 votes

Most Liberals like to forget that. So I guess, the Liberals had even a smaller segment that the Conservatives.
commented 2015-09-27 00:52:17 -0400

No, I dream for the Canada that I used to live in for decades – before Harper took over and a small segment of Canadians – turned into Americans from Texas.
commented 2015-09-27 00:49:24 -0400

Well clearly you want to pretend like The Rebel would be successful no matter what.

And Jimmy dreams of a socialist world where there are no conservatives ,no capitalism, no free enterprise, big government, no free speech, no strong economic growth in the private sector, high taxes, no Christmas and no parliamentary democratic system….oh wait that was done already, I think that was called the USSR? North Korea? China?, or Cuba? Greece? Ontario? Manitoba? Ah yes, paradise….. The socialist utopia… Just wondering when did I ever say all Muslims are terrorists or gay people are abominations? You just proved what many say about what progressives do when they cannot come up with any valid argument, they go straight to making false accusations of people who challenge the progressive view. Terry Ruden, I have no problem retracting my last statement we can agree to disagree. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Re-Hyacinth “Jimmy, You really need psychiatric help.”
Hyacinth, I disagree. Jimmy’s issues are beyond “mommy Issues”. I don’t think Psychiatry can help a man with no testicles. His issues are way deeper than that. He needs religion.
Remember what I said before. When Jimmy was born. The doctor slapped his mother.

“What does developing software have to do with internet traffic and ad revenue? "

The entire Internet works on software. But you know what Jimmy. I concede. You are the mightiest, the smartest. You know how it all works Jimmy.

Ahhhhh, Jimmy, you’re just the smartest.

Have a good evening, your majesty.

What does developing software have to do with internet traffic and ad revenue?

If you truly knew what you were talking about – you would know that heated debate is often what generates the most traffic and thus – ad revenue on a website. Some of the most successful websites on the internet – have a comments section just like this one, where the back and forth is absolutely brutal. And why? Because it makes them a ton of money through the internet traffic and ad revenue.

Let’s say that Ezra and Brian banned all opposing view. The Rebel is just a safe house for people…like you. Do you really think The Rebel would be successful and competitive, when the only thing going on here would be people parroting what Ezra says and virtual high-fiving.
commented 2015-09-26 22:46:06 -0400
“Thank you for clearly confirming that you don’t know how internet traffic works or the generating of advertising revenue on a website.”

Jimmy, if there is one thing I do know in this world, it is how the Internet works. I realize you believe yourself to be the know all, but my life for the last 19 years have been developing software for networking and the Internet. You really do not know more about the Internet than I do. I am more than willing to debate you are the inner workings of the Internet. I know you will come back with some “no you don’t know blah, blah, blah”. Jimmy know it all. Nobody knows anything compared to the mighty Jimmy.
commented 2015-09-26 22:28:49 -0400

Thank you for clearly confirming that you don’t know how internet traffic works or the generating of advertising revenue on a website. I am quite sure Ezra would like to eventually get rid of the sex/dating ads on The Rebel – you know, because it’s conservative here.

In addition, The Rebel stopped banning people pretty damn quickly when they realized that getting rid of people like me and Terry, would negatively impact The Rebel financially. Money talks.
commented 2015-09-26 22:07:58 -0400

There are MANY polls that have stated that about the CBC. Not just one. The odds are in CBC’s favor.

I love that Alex thinks that if you are walking the street at 1PM or able to answer a phone at that time – you must be a pot smoking, mushroom eating, Dizzy Lizzy supporting, David Suzuki loving, EI collecting, welfare receiving, Catherine Porter style Canadian.

Clearly Alex is an old fuck and doesn’t realize that the working work has completely changed from the days when he had something to offer. It’s no longer the 9 to 5 punch clock. And most shocking, people will often take their lunch at 1PM and not noon, so you might find them in a mall food court – answering a poll in person or on the phone.

“The Rebel will NOT survive without any opposing view or heated debate.”

TheRebel will survive because people support it and because of the business savvy of the owners, not because of the minor income they get from page count hits, but then anyone that 1) knows how the Internet works, and 2) knows how business works would know that. Socialists are stupid when it comes to business, but don’t tell them that because they believe themselves to be so bloody smart.

“It’s hilarious that people here just blindly believe a highly questionable poll "

It’s hilarious that a person here just blindly believes a highly questionable poll claiming the majority of people support the CBC. I guess that person is just a gullible dupe.
commented 2015-09-26 21:32:58 -0400

The Rebel will NOT survive without any opposing view or heated debate. That is a fact. So regardless if it’s Terry and I or new people who join up and think the overall view here is crazy, Ezra and Brian desperately need people like me.

I know you want this paradise conservative world here where everyone just agrees with each other – liberals are soulles and ruining the world, all Muslims are terrorists, gay people are an abomination, etc. But that is not will help put Ezra’s kids through college.

I do.
commented 2015-09-26 21:19:51 -0400
It’s hilarious that people here just blindly believe a highly questionable poll – because it came from Ezra, but yet all the VARIOUS polls that definitively confirm that the vast majority of Canadians support the CBC and want the funding continued – have to be wrong and it’s corruption from the left.
