I came across a video clip today, posted by the White House, of Barack Obama boasting about how his nuclear deal with Iran is awesome.
Hang on. So the nuclear program isn’t dismantled? It’s still so far progressed, and will stay that way, that Iran could build a bomb in twelve months?
That’s after the deal. That’s not before the deal. So after the deal — after Obama legitimized the Iranian dictatorship, and threw Iranian democratic reformers into despair; after Obama danced to Iran’s demands for years; after Obama pushed the deal on America, through a trick — by doing it through executive order, instead of through a formal treaty because the U.S. Constitution Article 2 section 2 says that the president "shall have power, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, to make treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur” — and he knew the Senate would never go along with it, so he gave up everything on his own, including $150B dollars in payments to Iran.
So all this — and the humiliation just weeks ago of Iran seizing U.S. military personnel and degrading them and parading them before the cameras as a propaganda victory — all this, and Iran still has a nuclear program, able to break out to a bomb in 12 months?
And that’s if we catch them?
Well, maybe Obama can get another Nobel Peace Prize. He threw Iraq and Libya to the Islamic State; he threw Crimea to Vladimir Putin; he threw the Arab world into the fires of the Arab Spring; he has presided over more war casualties than George W. Bush. And this, his grand effort — still leaves Iran with the ability to make a bomb on 12 months notice?
Yeah. What exactly would Obama do differently if he were trying to destroy America, not lead it?
