Quebec: Masked student bullies trash school to protest "austerity"

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

Quebec university students pay the lowest tuition in the nation, thanks to transfer payments from the rest of Canada.

That didn't stop students at UQAM from holding a "gross, garbage dump style" sit-in, trying to shut down the school and intimidating other students, bursting into classrooms while wearing maskes.

Police eventually had to smash their way in through a glass door to clear them out.

(Most of these students are rich white kids of course -- and you can't help noticing that the police and security guards are more racially diverse...)

Here's more irony: these students were protesting "austerity," without caring about the millions of dollars in damage they caused to their school.

Eileen, you must be joking. Governments should imprison, imprison, imprison…when people are acting like these idiots in Quebec.

If this is the end result of governments making austerity cuts, no wonder many governments would rather spend, spend, spend!

Those terrorists the police arrested, should be forced to pay for all the damage they did.
No more free ride for these professional terrorists.

Just paid protesters (one of George Soros’ (schwartz) paid protest groups) causing trouble. Make work for cops, judges, clean up. Destroys the local economy. Who the fk wants to go to Kewbek? Kewbek is racist enough already and now it’s worse.

All part of the political pageantry of Montreal. I lived there when the Parti Quebecois came to power…they certainly do take their politics seriously.

Those were not students — their faces were masked. Those were professional agitators whose only cause is to sow disruption. Protesting is one thing — this was something completely “else”. I have no issue whatsoever with peaceful protest (the students of Tienanmen square were peaceful — the police went overboard). But civil disturbances, destruction of property, intimidation and bullying… this is not peaceful. Nor is it protesting. There is no game plan here, no attempt to right a perceived wrong. This is agitation, and the perpetrators deserve arrest and jail records.

As I see it rioting will never be a burden to any students now or in the future. They have to be arrested and charged before any record becomes available to any employer.
I’m almost certain any riots like the BC hockey riot will fade into obscurity and never be any bother to them in the future. Google BC Riot and see what comes up.The same goes for anywhere else and protesters are on that same non list.
What do you really expect from socialist courts. The taxpayer picks up the tab and rioters, protestors and criminals go free.
The Liberals built this get out of jail free and adds to it every time a group acts up.You do notice it is the criminal cry, Constitution and human rights and count the times you hear about that every day, week and month.
Honest victims have no rights only criminals do. Citizens pay all costs.
That simply has to change.

their parents should pay for the damages!

Who raises people like this? If my kids behaved like that, I’d kick their a$$es around the block. They should be arrested and jailed then handed the bill when they get out. You don’t pay, back to jail you go. How else will they learn respect? They obviously weren’t taught any. Nice job, parents. Thanks for inflicting your little hellions on us.

It’s great to know that the future of Quebec is in the hands of such level-headed, grounded youth.

It would be interesting to know what disciplines these students came from,I would bet that the training they are recieving is how to be a parasite progressive.

Well, Quebec might start feeling the pinch because Alberta, by far the largest contributor to the Provincial Equalization transfers, is not going to be transferring its usual 16 Billion (approx) because of the low oil prices. Less royalties, lower EQ payments. Then the Quebec will have to stop these spoiled student from protesting because the money from the ROC will simply not be there.

Steve G…took the words out of my mouth!…I would never hire them…AND I would blacklist them from further education anywhere and make them clean up their mess…let them eat Kraft Dinner…

Nobody if I had my way, round them up, arrest what you can and expel the rest and forfeit if any tuition money

Actually, I’m almost at a loss for words. The arrogance and profound sense of entitlement displayed by many people is jaw-dropping. The destruction of property while acting out their temper tantrum like spoiled children is truly unacceptable. Who would hire such people later on?
