Getting the Pan Scam games is like kissing your sister, after taking her out for $1,000 dinner.

I also am against using tax payer’s money for events like this. My son’s education was payed for by sports. We payed for all his pre university sports as it should be.

I am fine with sports.

where I have issue is when public money is used. I am against any public money (tax money) for sports arenas, welfare for athletes (yes Canada pays people to be athletes). or for such things like olympics or Pan Am games.

that money is taken from workers (under the force of law) who often have stake or benefit from the projects.

Game of Thrones, the kings coffers are empty, people are starving, but the king keeps borrowing more money to throw tournaments in his name. Fiction eh

Don’t give a rats ass. Traffic is going to be the worst ever. When does it start? More importantly, when does it end?

You can bet the sports elitists involved in this fiasco will show up again in some venture to bring the Olympics to Toronto. Or some other venture meant to satisfy their giant egos and quest for our Debt dollars.

Gee, it doesn’t look like the games are too popular. How did Toronto and the Ontario Liberal Government miss that one? Their instincts are usually so good.

Keeping my more enthusiastic urges in check until the corruption arrests begin.

My money is on a 1.4 billion dollar net loss to the taxpayers out of 2.5 billion dollars plus spent. Leftist economics.

The PanAm was proven to be a scandal last time. What shows things to be different THIS time? I have nothing against true competitive sports, but given the debacle this caused the last time PanAm was brought to Canada, it’s just like smacking your head with a bus and going back for round 2. #wasteoftaxdollars

The Toronto sports elites have blown well over a billion dollars of our money on this boon-doggle and you what to know how we feel about it?!? We are excited……. No, that isn’t it. We are ecstatic. . .. .. No that isn’t it either.
How about this; The unmitigated gall of the Liberal government to lavish over a billion dollars ( in real terms probably over two billion dollars) of our taxes on this elitist, criminal waste of a black hole at a time when they have all but destroyed Ontario’s economy through their typical tax and spend policies is enough to drive the average Ontarian to Alberta.
Yes that’s better. It would have been even more accurate with a liberal application of four letter words of course, but this will do.

Ugh, I can’t stand man on the street interviews.

When millions are lost, Wynn will want Harper to bail Ontario out, even though everyone warned her. When this loss occurs, Wynn should ask the Public Unions for help, as they are the people having the Field Day.
