Question of the Day: Did PM Harper's hockey jersey jinx the Jets?

Emily PrattRebel Correspondent

The Winnipeg Jets were knocked out of the playoffs last night, but that's not the only thing that upset hockey fans.

Prime Minister Stephen Harper, who was at the game, wore a Team Canada jersey instead of one of the Jets'.

This fueled a social media fury.

We asked what people thought about Harper's choice of hockey jersey.

Yeah and had the PM worn a Jets jersey, Quebec would cry discrimination, or had he worn a Canucks jersey , the Progs in Toronto would be wailing and threatening to take him to the so called Human Rights Commission. I think the PM did the right thing – wearing the Canada Jersey showed his pride for our game. Besides the majority of Pegger’s are hard core NDP’ers so no surprise in their reaction.

It would be worse for Winnipeg – they could have an NHL team from Toronto.

O.F.F.S… anything to get the “social media” in a tizzy… Anaheim has been an excellent team all year, and I hoped Winnipeg would win at least one. This last game was the widest margin of scoring in the series, and it’s not like the Jets didn’t come to play — they gave Anaheim plenty to handle! Blaming the PM’s jersy??? Grow up, people…! (My Canucks, on the other hand, look like they’re going to live up to their rep of “finding ways to lose”… Well, I’ll just back Calgary if they do.)

Jets are out cause they suck, end o story. (PM is a Flames fan I imagine… altho I won’t hold that against him…)
