Even science is under attack by the Thought Police -- but here's why that might be changing

Gavin McInnesRebel Commentator

It used to be STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) was impervious to the Thought Police because, well, data is data.

(LANGUAGE WARNING:)

You can't deny the truth mathematics drudges up no matter how much you hate it.

What the far left has done, however, is cherry pick data and use straw men to vilify scientists who deliver uncomfortable truths.

Jason Richwine was fired for looking at IQ data. Satoshi Kanzowa was vilified for studying the public's idea of beauty.

Anthropologists Napoleon Chagnon and Lawrence H. Keeley were pilloried for being honest about their research.

Why? It's just science.

These guys are nerds with no agenda simply reporting on their research. If you don't like it, refute it.

Sorry, that's too hard. It's easier just to infer any offensive data is evil.

The scary part is how totally effective this cop out has become.

What kind of 2 bit site is this? This article has nothing in it! Harper was the master of disinformation and state censorship and you conservatives try to pin it on the left? Your readers must be really stupid to believe this steaming pile of BS.

Gavin, maybe you should improve your vocabulary before someone gives you a microphone. I’m not saying I disagree with you politically but, just like the main stream media, you have no class.

Absolutely spot on. I really though I was alone in thinking that the politically correct mumbo jumbo being injected into science, was going to eventually be purged. Not because of any force of will and effort on any ones part, but because it simply will not stand up to scrutiny over time.

Marvin Glass that communist POS. It is Carleton’s eternal shame that such a vile Red would be a tenured hate preacher.

The science establishment today is an oligarchy with dogmas that you either accept, or else you’re anti-science, according to the science establishment. Cases in point: You MUST believe (oh, sorry I mean ‘accept’) macro-evolution from molecules to man, no matter that it contradicts the facts of organic chemistry, or you are anti-science. Likewise, you MUST believe in man-made global warming, no matter that it is based on fudged temperature data that makes the globe appear warmer than it is (search “Call it the mystery of the missing thermometers”), or you are anti-science.

The long and short of it is that science today is essentially a religion that doesn’t tolerate dissent. Believe what you are told and don’t dare question the dogma or point out contradictory facts, or you will be ostracized. It’s intellectual fascism dressed up in a false facade of objectivity. If you want objectivity, the science establishment is the last place to go looking for it today. You would be much better off in your own pad screening your own science info from the internet.

For a number of years I watched the debate between the Intelligent Design advocates and those opposed to it denouncing it as creationism in a cheap suit. Those opposed to it denounced it in every possible way claiming it had no validity as science as none of it works appeared in peer reviewed scientific journals. Even one article The signature of the cell by Stephen C. Meyer) having received peer review was then met by the claim it wasn`t about intelligent design in which the author responded he ought to know what the article was about seeing he wrote it. http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/252728.Stephen_C_Meyer What I have come to see is that while some are trying to use the mask of science to discredit any possibility of intelligent design because of the religious implications, they also try to silence any criticism of Darwinian theory even though it has been full of controversy from within since it`s inception. here is one article where another intelligent design advocate explains an ongoing debate he is having with Eugenie Scott director of the National Center for Science Education. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/1013824/posts http://www.evolutionnews.org/2012/02/intelligent_des056221.html

Gavin, you are right, empirical evidences have gone by the wayside a long time ago. It started with Darwinian evolutionary bullshit two centuries ago and continues today with false theories of man-made climate change and a whole pile of junk theory. Almost all of the natural sciences are now utterly destroyed in favor of (puke!) political correctness. 2 plus 2 has to equal 5 or you and I are screaming mental psychopaths.

Reminds me of the guys that found all the foreign people investing in realistic, thereby spiking the cost of houses. Most of the names were Chinese so it was deemed racist. What? It either is or isn’t. Much like math, in science you can’t just fudge the data to make people feel better.

Perhaps the best example of Leftist ideas working their way into science was the work of Trofim Lysenko in the Soviet Union. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trofim_Lysenko for a short overview. Whole books have been written about the travesty this charlatan made of science for decades under Stalin and then Krushchev – and the real scientists he destroyed before his eventual downfall.

Here’s hoping we can avoid another such debacle in contemporary science.

also, can you start including sources under your videos? While it is interesting to listen to you, sometimes I like to do some of my own reading and googling everything gets a bit annoying.

The name is Satoshi Kanazawa, not Satoshi Kanzowa
