Is this strange tweet from Trudeau’s Natural Resource Minister an April Fool’s joke?

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Commentator

I generally avoid the internet on April Fool’s day. It’s usually a quagmire of lame jokes by stiff politicians and poor attempts at humour by news agencies whose daily fawning over the Liberals seems more like a bad joke than any stunt they could pull today.

I saw a strange tweet by Natural Resources Minister Jim Carr go through my feed. At first, today being today and me being the skeptic I am, I thought it was a joke. But the tweet was real because Carr deleted it when I commented.

The tweet read: “7 minutes with your MP. If you had 7 minutes to speak with your MP what would you say?”

Then the tweet goes on to ask Carr’s constituents for their details and the topic they'd like to discuss. Is Carr looking to talk to constituents or speed date them?

If Carr wants to spend a productive seven minutes with Canadians, he should take his political speed dating routine on the road to Alberta communities who are waiting for his government to approve much needed pipelines.

What a bunch of cowards these liberal hand puppets are. Really makes them look bad deleting your comments Sheila. Makes them look infantile and weak. Its frustrating having them always blocking, deleting and not allowing entry. What country do we live in?

Lloyd, yes they finally sorted it out, still had to give my credit card info, but did it over the phone. I hope you get sorted out soon, computer hack and all.

Re: multiple screen names? He said ‘batshit’.

Loyd you need to name these PROs! There are some real Pros out there that can fix theses’ pros clock! I understand they still have “smokers” (a little bug which can burn out invaders’ processors) in the cyber world. Really there are. LMAO!
Real time advice though is to get yourself McAfee Total protection – it works.

Maybe Sheila should take her own advice about not cracking bad jokes. And to think that yesterday, Brian bitched about how the media needs to grow up.

Unfortunately, I live in Carr’s riding. AKA the one part in all of Manitoba that is cursed with the stupid rapid transit. Too bad Carr is not taking a stance on this complete waste of money that has only screwed up the bus routes.

SHEILA—- you could of just said that Carr is a lemon !!

to finish my thought before explorer cut me off:

I have to revise my belief that the prime criteria to be humourless is to be left wing. Good one Mr. Mulcair.

Sheila comments: “I generally avoid the internet on April Fool’s day. It’s usually a quagmire of lame jokes by stiff politicians…”

Generally, I agree.

However, I have to admit that I thought Mr. Mulcair pulled the masterful joke regarding shaving his beard. A true unstated, self deprecating joke. I have to revise my believe that the prime criteria to be humourless.

Sheila; Oboe players (such as Jim Carr) are known more for their neurosis than for having a highly tuned sense of humour.

But if you get a not-so-friendly V.D. card, you get TONS of M.P.’s time. And you might even get a national holiday named after you..

Deborah; Describing their look as “glazed” works just as fine.

Oops! I mean gazes. I wish we could edit.

Does anyone notice the blank glazes in the eyes of all Trudy’s cabinet ministers? That is sign of psychopathy!

Actually, I don’t think the unemployed of Bruderheim or Sherwood Park will need seven minutes to stick the point to Carr.

Canadian politicians are such contrived, low brow geeks.
