Earlier this year, I reported on some issues that arose with the town council in the small village of Acme, Alberta. Most on that council have been in power for years and the Mayor, Bruce Mcleod, is a former union boss.
Problems were rampant in the village, including councillors purchasing land (which is not allowed), allegations of a fixed election, and also allegations of operations not being run properly.
All of these allegations resulted in enough signatures on a petition to force a municipal inspection.
The findings and conclusions of that inspection were essentially a slap on the wrist for council members, leaving many residents angry and some believing that the town council got off easy due to the fact that McLeod was a union boss and friend to the NDP.
McLeod recently retired as a union boss and the Alberta NDP have hired him!
Watch my video as I explain how the situation in Acme unfolded and why this outcome suggests McLeod is just another friend of the NDP.
