Syrian refugees vs. Garth Brooks fans? Media Party rushes to bash “privileged” “white males”

David MenziesMission Specialist

Thousands of country music fans were delighted when Garth Brooks flew into Hamilton to perform four sold-out concerts but not all were pleased when hundreds of Syrian refugees were temporarily displaced from their Hamilton hotel rooms to accommodate the Garth fans.

Concertgoers booked and paid for their hotel rooms before they were given to Syrian refugees back in January.

The progressive media were shocked by the temporary refugee reassignment. A typical response came from columnist Grant LeFleche in the St. Catharines Standard, who said:

“Don’t get your white hood in a knot. Being a white, Christian Canadian male is to be part of one of the most privileged demographics on Earth.”

I guess what he means with the KKK analogy is:

Garth Brooks is a country music artist and country music is the bailiwick of blue-collar rednecks, who are white trash and maybe even members of the Ku Klux Klan.

Would the Media Party have felt such outrage if the venue was booked by Al Gore or David Suzuki for a lecture on global warming or climate change or whatever they call it now?

Then the story would be the Syrians were relocated for the greater good, giving the climate rock stars a platform to change people’s behaviour to save the planet before flying back home on private chartered jets.

And, where was the Media Party outrage when Canadian soldiers and military personnel at CFB Kingston were told to clear their barracks last November to make room for Syrians?

Think about it. These weren’t just Canadian taxpayers but soldiers who have actually put their lives on the line fighting for Canada.

But you know, a lot of those soldiers are probably white rednecks too, just like those icky Garth Brooks fans in Hamilton.

To progressives, the "takers” are sacred cows and the “makers” are sacrificial cows.

Hell, I know of a case where a one storey 3 bedroom home is owned by a “refugee”. The local post office delivers mail addressed to 20 different individuals residing in that house. Most of the mail turns out to be from the government . . . must be some kind of foreign aid.

In a similar vein, it seems a trucking company in Toronto is actually owned by a local mosque. Being a religious institution, they pay little or no tax and since the trucks are owned by the company, they accrue a ton of benefits (reduced taxes and other fees). They get a lot of trucking business since their operating costs are considerably lower than those of privately owned trucking firms. Check it out!

It is not like the bus ride or the hotel change was interrupting anything important, such as work.

Think of all those times the mainstream media reminded us of the incredible amounts of skills the refugees were bringing over to Canada. If this was true, then why are these refugees not using their skills to do something productive? You know, maybe get a job, or move out and be independent?

Letting the refugees stay in the hotels for free, is only teaching them what a cushy lifestyle they can get from being in Canada. No job, but free everything. When you treat people like this, it will inhibit any motivation from wanting to be self reliant or wanting to contribute. Why get a job when you can freeload?

Ahh, but Robert, if you are a white male you (and me too) are the bottom of the politically correct ladder and are expected to pay all the bills.

I know of Canadians who were born and bred in Canada and went overseas to fight for our way of life who died in wanton poverty on ridiculous pensions and luckily, I am not one of them.
There is nowhere in our charter of rights that says we must provide $61 a day per person for meals. Hell, I wished they would give me that amount on a daily basis. This amounts to over $22,000 a year. They can keep my freakin pension and give me a daily food allowance instead!

Exactly how long have these “temporary” residents at the hotels been living off the taxpayer’s dime? Shouldn’t they have been looking for an apartment or available room in a house to live? Or better yet, with a sponsoring family.

Every “refugee” is receiving, besides a taxpayer paid hotel room/suite, $61.00 per day for meals. That is $7,320 per 30 days for a family of four – and so many families are more than four. $7.320 is enough to pay for a $1,220 a month apartment for six months – sufficient time to find work and get off the public purse.

I wonder if they receive a per diem, too?

But to be displaced for a few days is such a tragedy. Their worlds are coming to an end! Not like they (supposedly) came from a refugee camp – which most have not – and became displaced people. Imagine, a different bed to sleep in after a hour long bus ride, scenic at that!

What next, a human rights complaint?

Baby Trudeau, when can I get my taxes back?

We don’t owe the refugees anything. They should be glad they weren’t asked to live in a homeless shelter for the duration of days the hotel rooms were unavailable.

The Dept of Immigration also did not take into consideration the refugee families. They certainly created a no-win situation and this disharmony for everyone involved, didn’t they?

So who is guilty here?
commented 2016-04-02 23:33:31 -0400
The temporary displacement of refugees has nothing to do with white Canadian Christians, it has to do with the government employees who placed these families in facilities that were not available.

It was this government agency that did not take into consideration the white, black, multi-cultural Canadians who had booked these facilities for the concert.

People who make these rude, insulting, anti-white and anti-Christian comments, as has this Lafleche guy, are equally guilty of racism. Only his racism is directed at Canadians.

In other word, Grant Lafleche, direct your racist and anti-Christian comments toward John McCallum and the Department of Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship, not the average Canadian who is simply trying to get to a concert.

It is not as simple as votes ,well, maybe it is—— Is there any difference between indoctrinating the- Children when they are YOUNG or— Indoctrinating the Immigrants , Migrants , Refugees when they are NEW ? There is no difference. Same difference. New or Young. TAKE —the Liberals will Provide.

Marilyn N…..the answer is simple…votes. The liebrals don’t care about them for humanitarian reasons. They see them as votes in the future.

This is one of Menzies’ better videos. Good to see the contrast between the rights of the makers and the takers. There is definitely a double standard going on. Nobody cried foul when the military personnel had to move out.

As for the refugees, if they do not like it, they can go back to their country. Or better yet, they can pay for the hotels themselves.

There is only one known and effective antidote to the to the ’ Cloward and Piven ’ agenda.
It is called the ‘Smith and Wesson’ strategy.

The people that are making the decisions to use rapefugees to collapse European and western nations want us at the bottom of this pyramid with their Islamic pets, fighting for scraps and poor after they have finished destroying the middle class. These invaders are migrants that have been intentionally displaced by regime change wars in third world nations with the full knowledge that they could then import these demons and create chaos here like we see in Europe.
Those that orchestrate this mess such as Bathhouse Barry and Imam Trudeau and their slavemasters such as George Soros and the bankers sit at the top or near the top of the pyramid, unaffected by the disasters they create. It is called Cloward and Piven, and they will not stop until they know fear such as the women in Sweden or Germany know when the migrants abuse them and destroy their towns and neighbourhoods. This is all intentional and by design, and if people don’t wake up to what is being done more nations including America and Canada will fall into poverty and chaos as these barbarian hordes from hell destroy our nations.

Acuuna asked: “ever get the feeling that we are going to be fighting for our freedom all over again?”

Yes…..the feeling grows stronger with each passing day!

When my father-in-law, as a young man, immigrated to Canada from Denmark in the late 1920’s, he was provided with NO social housing, food, or medical coverage. Instead, he plied himself to learn the English language fluently and lose any vestige of his accent. In addition, he worked on dairy farms or wherever there was employment for persons of his limited acknowledged talents. He married a Canadian woman, a school teacher, and between the two of them, they raised five exceptional children, all contributors to the the federal government revenues to this day. Why? Do we have to bring in people (for the most part, bogus “refugees”), at taxpayers’ expense, house them, at taxpayers’ expense, school them at taxpayers’ expense, feed them at taxpayers’ expense, when we have no indication that these people even want to assimilate….in fact, throughout the world, there is more and more proof that persons from third-world countries, housed and couched in the safety of Western social welfare systems, are merely itching to destroy and annihilate us by whatever means they can connive as quickly as possible.

This stuff makes my skin crawl. Grant LeFleches’ comment was a disgusting insult. A pathetic and blatant attack on any one Caucasian. Going so far as to mention the kkk, seriously? This guy’s moral preening is sickening. He is spouting racist comments while posing as a morally superior good samaritan. What he said was rude, gross, disgusting, and racist.
If Grant LeFleche wants to cut somebody a new one, he should be addressing the stupid liberal government he probably voted for. Unable to choreograph going to the bathroom let alone booking hotel rooms for economic migrants posing as refugees for times which were not already previously booked. How long are we going to be paying for this fiasco anyway?
Cry me a river!

acuuna You nailed it remembrance day will be next on the progressive list. If it is a fight they want they will get it, people will only take so much. Europe will be first, tempers are starting to boil as they watch the countries they love be invaded by Islamic welfare cases. Only a matter of time till it starts here,
commented 2016-04-02 13:17:32 -0400
if the fascist left media party keeps this up they are going to see a resurgence of the KKK like never before. this is how defensive white people are going to get if we keep being pushed into a corner like this.
commented 2016-04-02 13:11:52 -0400
If Grant’s love interests Trudeau and McCallum had had a plan in place for these refugees this wouldn’t have been an issue. No, full steam ahead with our election promise and we’ll figure out the logistics later. Typical lazy politicians.

Here is how Syrian Rapefugees are created and what they really are:

Hegelian Dialectic Problem Reaction Solution pawns used by the establishment that blows up Muslim countries ( problem ) which then makes stupid leftists in the nations that are doing the blowing up feel sympathy (reaction) and then the nation that does the blowing up ( or it’s allies ) then swoop in and bring all the displaced people into it’s own border ( solution ) where these people which of course are angry then blow up and rape everything that is not nailed down in the host nation thus causing it to collapse due to the problems that were created by those in ivory towers whom are not subjected to any of the fallout.

Privileged white folks?

How about privileged welfare recipients from Syria living on a complete dole – nice hotels, free meals, cash in hand and more. First in line for the medical and dental, first in line for everything.

Meantime folks from Canada are sleeping in the streets.

Screw the new welfare bums – they will for the most part be on the dole for at least a generation and maybe more.

Political correctness and social engineering are running amuck and destroying what is left of western civilization once again. This is the dumbest thing I have seen in quite some time.
The Hamilton Sheraton on King Street has practically been converted into an Islamic homeless shelter for Syrian rapefugees. God forbid that the parasites are temporarily displaced to another host hotel and replaced by people coming into the city who are contributing to the economy of Hamilton that seriously needs all the help it can get by spending money at restaurants and other local businesses. God forbid that we put the needs of ourselves first. It would be so much more virtuous to throw ourselves on the sword as Europe is doing, and we all know that soon there will be no more Europe, as intended.
Once again up is down, and down is up, all in the name of the fantasy of a Globalist Utopia with no borders that is held together by candles, Teddy Bears, soccer balls, inclusiveness, virtue signalling and cognitive dissonance.

I’m more a jazz guy myself.

Interesting though about the anti-C&W. My perception here is that C&W is, ironically, the genre used to write the protest lyrics to.
