Tarek Fatah: "This isn't about Shia vs. Sunni, it's about the destruction of Western civilization"

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

I sat down with author Tarek Fatah about his latest book, The Tragic Illusion of an Islamic State, and about the situation here in Canada in terms of radicalization and militant Islam.

Fatah explains that the romantic ideal of a former "Golden Age" of Islam is leading Muslims today on the wrong path.

Over the weekend, Fatah attended a protest outside a Toronto-area mosque that was celebrating the late Iranian dictator Ayatollah Khomeini. He explains the complicated factions inside and outside of this troubling event.

He also talked about various Canadian politicians who are rubbing shoulders with radical Muslims -- and praises one Liberal who has voiced his support for Harper's Iranian policies.

It's a wide ranging conversation with a real expert on the situation here and abroad.

I think you'll be as surprised as I was by some of the things Fatah has to say.

Chaz Martell and Keith Barnes…RIGHT ON!!!
Tarek Fatah is a likeable little fart…but to be sure, he is still a Muslim.
One has to ponder WHY he stays in Islam…he gets death threats all the time, so being murdered for turning apostate shouldn’t be an issue…curious.

There is much of worth to say about Tarek Fatah; but, one should always take him with a grain of salt. He is indeed a decade’s long fighter against radical Islam (Islamofascism) but he insists that what he imagines to be the ‘authentic’ religion of Islam, its alleged prophet Mohamed and its Holy Book, the Quran, is a genuine religion and it is distinct from radical Islam. This insistence despite the overwhelming evidence of the essentially political and ideological nature of even so-called mainstream Islam as it continues to pose an existential threat to the entire civilized world.

Indeed major Islamic leaders and politicians have contradicted Tarek’s schizophrenic view of Islam. Recep Erdogan, Turkey’s Prime Minister, said that claims about the distinction between radical Islam and mainstream or moderate Islam are at best erroneous. There is only Islam. Keep in mind that Prime Minister Erdogan is a notorious Islamist but he does not equivocate about the nature of Islam and its ultimate agenda.

Likewise, President Al Sisi of Egypt, recently addressed Islamic scholars at Al-Azhar University (the epicenter of Sunni Islam scholarship) and called for a major reform of Islamic sacred (so-called) texts. Among other things, Al Sisi said that the “corpus of [Islamic] texts and ideas that we have sacralised over the centuries” are “antagonizing the entire world”; that it is not “possible that 1.6 billion people [reference to the world’s Muslims] should want to kill the rest of the world’s inhabitants—that is 7 billion—so that they themselves may live”; and that Egypt (or the Islamic world in its entirety) “is being torn, it is being destroyed, it is being lost—and it is being lost by our own hands.” Tarek however continues to deny the essentially radical and corrosive nature of mainstream Islam despite what is common knowledge in the Islamic world. Much like the “Liar-in-Chief”, Barack Hussein Obama. Do we detect a pattern here?

Also, as a committed Leftist, Fatah persists in a schizophrenic worldview. He has criticized the Obama administration on many occasions for their pro-Islamist agenda, on the well documented infection of the Muslim Brotherhood in the White House and their effect on foreign policy and the wording of national security documents; but, then, on the other hand, he supported Obama’s Presidency as well as his re-election. Hello? Methinks that our good friend Tarek doth equivocate. He speaks with a forked-tongue. Taqiyya?

As a Canadian voter Tarek votes for the NDP which are often to the left of the U.S. Democrats (if that can be believed) and essentially socialistic in their political agenda. The NDP, like the fatuous Obama administration, are also soft on the Islamists and are more inclined to engage and appease Islamic extremism than to fight against it.

In conclusion, if you want to hear some hard facts and some valid insights about the nature of that false distinction called radical Islam, Tarek Fatah can be of assistance, but if you are looking for a completely honest, committed and consistent fighter against that deadly malevolence which is mainstream Islam, its true nature and its endemic agenda to overrun the civilized world and drag us all back into darkness, you had better look elsewhere.

Apart from Tarek Fatah’s freak-out on Jerry Agar’s old show in SNN, I always enjoy and appreciate what Mr. Fatah says. I wish to see him take on a Liberal Senator again….one of the best clips ever. Thanks for the interview, Ezra.

I have said this before, Canada is at war and Canada is not fighting back. The average Canadian is not even aware of this and as long as we have Left Wing Idiots, kissing the enemy’s Butt, as are the Liberals and NDP, we will lose this Country to Islam. Trudeau and Mulclaire need to think more about who they are jumping in bed with. If they were doing the same thing in 1943, kissing Natzi Butt, They would be Hung as traitors. CBC CTV and the other Left Wing propaganda machines should also be Hung, for aiding and abetting them.
The Political Platform, known as Islam, already has it’s slimy tentacles into the Left Wing of Canadian Poetics and these idiots will do anything for votes.
The only sure way to protect ourselves is mass deportation of all Muslims.
WAKE THE F UP CANADA! before it is to late.

When Europe recovers from the shock and grief of the attack on the French journalists in Paris, I hope they will also realize that they have the wrong people on their terror list.

The European Union and NATO have listed the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) as a terrorist organization. They have closed down PKK TV stations more than once and persecuted its members in different countries for years. But when was the last time the PKK or any Kurdish party bombed a European city, killed a journalist or called for the death of Jews and Christians?

Since the 9/11 attacks and growth of Islamic radicalism, Western countries have dramatically increased their budgets for national security and intelligence and they have gone to Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia and Mali. They have established various police and anti-terror forces, and tap telephones and emails in order to stop the next terrorist attack.

But none of that budget increase, surveillance or forces are to counter Kurdish terrorism. I don’t think Europe has spent a dollar on the imaginary Kurdish terrorism, as opposed to the real Islamic terrorism. Yet, they have the PKK listed as a terrorist organization and they wonder whether or not it should be removed from the list.

Treating the PKK members as terrorists has separated many families from each other. Their immigration and asylum cases are regularly rejected in Europe, US and Canada. They are threatened with deportation or left in limbo for years.

These governments do not have any proof that PKK members are terrorists, nor have these Kurds shown any terrorist intentions. They are treated this way only because the organization is on the blacklist.

This is not only true for the PKK. Until recently, the Kurdistan Region’s two main parties, the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) were also on the US Tier-3 terror list.

Throughout decades of armed struggle, the PKK, PUK and KDP have almost acted like a state and treated their prisoners with respect and sent them back to their families safe and sound. They have never bombed a city, nor have they exploded car bombs in crowded markets.

On the other hand, all kinds of radical jihadis who have every intention of evil, of imposing Sharia law in Europe or of killing every non-Muslim, come to Europe and receive asylum, citizenship and every right. Because they do not belong to an organization like the PKK, they are not considered terrorists and they easily hide their true motives until it is too late.

That same way, the EU General Court ruled last month that Hamas should be removed from the terror list: this is an organization that fires rockets in broad daylight into a sovereign state, one that runs children’s TV shows on hating the Jews and how to behead them – an organization that is proud of its terrorism. But the same court refuses to remove the PKK from that list.

The attack on the French journalists, the killing of the British soldier in London and the Dutch filmmaker should make Europe, US and Canada rethink their position and policies. They should remove the PKK from the terror list immediately and welcome it as an ally in the fight against terrorism.

Thousands of French police officers and anti-terror squad are mobilized to find the Muslim attackers. Other European countries are tightening their security everywhere. But that is what the Kurds are doing everyday at no cost to Europe.

Every Islamist militant the Peoples Protection Units (YPG) kills in Kobane could be one of the Paris attackers. The YPG and Peshmerga have killed hundreds of diehard Islamists in Syria and Iraq, many of them holding European passports. If these militants were not in Syria or Iraq they would be in Europe killing journalists and cartoonists.

It is obvious that the Kurds are fighting Islamic extremists to defend their own land, but this is where the Kurdish and European interests merge. It is time for Europe to know who the real terrorists are, to know that the Islamist militants of Kobane, Shingal and Paris are all the same.

Nothing but respect for Mr. Fatah. I owe a lot of gratitude for the knowledge and wisdom he has provided me, and he has confirmed what I have been saying for years. It is time to stop trusting Saudi Arabia.
