What The Globe and Mail says about 'victim' Omar Khadr will leave you filled with rage

Rebel Staff

Canada's 'newspaper of record' has a new editorial than fawns over convicted terrorist Omar Khadr.

The Globe and Mail's narrative treats Khadr like a little lamb and calls Khadr a 'victim'.

No. There are real victims.

US medic Christopher Speer and his kids are the real victims.

But you'll never know that if you read The Globe and Mail.

The Globe says Khadr plead guilty "under duress" and it was a "coerced confession." That's not true at all.

We have all the evidence. And Khadr's own lawyers approved his confession before he signed it.

Can we ever rely on The Globe and Mail in the future?

I think I’ll get home delivery of the Globe and Mail, and use it as toilet paper.
Is Judge Ross of sound mind? With his monitoring bracelet removed, Khadr’s basically a FREE man. What else do we need to keep Khadr in jail He’s a murderer, and as the pictures demonstrate, a bomb maker who’s as care free and content assembling bombs, as someone taking basket weaving classes.
It seems the world has gone mad with politically correct thinking. And now it’s the criminals being treated like victims. What the world so desperately needs right now is JUSTICE!!!! Whether it be against Khadr, al-Qaeda, ISIS, Boko Haram, al-Shebaab, and the rest of them, there needs to be justice for their victims. And just as importantly, we need security, not the type that Judge Ross is serving.

Gas lighting and lunacy- and something to wrap dead fish in, all for a paltry sum.

The G&M should quickly go the way of the albatross
for publishing these BS stories

the mop and pail… nothing else need be said.

“What The Globe and Mail says about ‘victim’ Omar Khadr will leave you filled with rage”
Rage!?
The rage has caused the blood supply to my head to be cut off and I’m in such a paroxysm of storming fury that I can’t think straight!
Contemptible sociopathic elite.
Traitorous swine.
Aiders and abettors of our sworn enemies.
Smug promoters of all things filthy, disgusting and sick.
Liars, dis-informers, twisters and spinners of the truth, committers of the sins of omission.
Self-righteous chauvinists and haters of Canada.
The globe and mail, the enemies of my country, are going to find out in the not too distant future that, pay-back is a bitch!!!
And you will have more than earned it…

I’d be hard pressed to think of an example that better represents the silliness and impotence of the western world than little Omar’s histoire.

Raised to hate by parents committed to the overthrow of everything decent, including the foolish country that gave them the best life they had ever known; provided with the best of medical attention after committing an act that would have resulted in summary execution a generation or two earlier; repatriated to (and released in) his home country to continue the work his father started thanks to the efforts of an effete media and a sublimely ignorant and indifferent public.

Good report, Ezra! The Globe should have to answer your report…too bad they are not required to do so.

So-called victims who have more APPARENT, tangible power than their so-called oppressors are not victims at all, but are conquerors. Thanks to poor media research, Khadr has emerged a victor for Al Quaeda. The loser: Canada.

A Token Conservative – I could almost agree with you about placing responsibility where it’s due but ultimately it was the G&M editors who decided to print such morbidly disinforming drivel and play into the political hands of our enemies. The buck stops with the G&M, they are responsible for everything printed in that puppy trainer – it reflects on them – obviously they have no problem with ideologues who apologise for the enemies of our nation and culture.

The Glob is on the way down like the rest of big print media. In a desperate effort to stay afloat they are trying to appeal to the leftist market, the turf of the Star and Now Magazine. This is why they’re making Khadr their hero. Where do these disingenuous msm’ers get off calling themselves Canada’s “newspaper of record”? Record of BS.

The G lobe & Mail just wants to have a free ride with this ‘one hell of a story’. But many ‘still’ in their sane mind believes the other way around!!!
Nice try Globe and Mail!!!

Don’t get me wrong, I agree with pretty much everything, but I should argue one point. The editorial was written by one (or maybe two) person (people). Those are the people whom can’t be trusted. That editorial may or may not imply or infer any future truths or lies made by the paper itself or any other editors or contributors. Ezra should not, strictly, have said the Globe and Mail is lying or will lie in the future, only that particular writer(s). I agree that the paper is a rag and can’t be trusted, but not for that reason only. You have to show at least a sampling of all the other editorials and articles to make that kind of blanket pronouncement. Not that I don’t agree, you see. Just make the argument a real one, and not an unfounded extension of the one in front of you. BTW, I remember working at a major downtown hotel in Regina 30 or so years ago, we had to leave a copy of that rag in front of every door, every day. It was a major hassle, and to my knowledge not one paper was ever read, they all went into the garbage, every day. This was before recycling became popular. So, toilet paper had more usefulness than the Mop and Pail. For at least 30 years now.

The mop and pail has jumped the shark – gone from a comical parody of itself to just plain creepy in intellectually fellating Islamic terrorists.
commented 2015-04-27 23:05:52 -0400
The Globe En-Trails should take their act into a court of law for their pet Islamo-nazi. If they waste enough of their time and money they can relish the experience of relegating themselves to the dustbin of history.

It’s time that Khadr and his extended family were deported, never to return to Canada….ever.
commented 2015-04-27 22:17:26 -0400
woops! he feigned surrender before he threw the grenade? My God. I feel so badly for Speers widow and wounded fellows. How can this be happening in Canada?
commented 2015-04-27 21:46:37 -0400
The fact that there is any potential for this POS to ever become a free man is absolutely dumbfounding. Shame on all who perpetuate the mistruths.

When I got a call recently from the subscription desk at the Globe and Mail asking if I would take a month sub free!! Naturally since I live west of Sudbury, I chose to tell the poor thing making the pitch I wouldn’t use the Globe and Mail to train puppies on or line my friends parrot cage. She seemed seemed to understand and was very pleasant when we parted company. And there you have it, the rest of the story!!
commented 2015-04-27 20:54:27 -0400
Right on Ezra. If Kadhr was so hard done by & so pure, then why doesn’t the Globe & Mail put their money where their mouth is & adopt the little terrorist creep!

On the topic of Khadr’s release on bail, <a href=“”http://www.theglobeandmail.com/globe-debate/respect-the-weight-of-800-years-of-law-in-khadrs-bail/article24135094/%20">http://www.theglobeandmail.com/globe-debate/respect-the-weight-of-800-years-of-law-in-khadrs-bail/article24135094/%20">Audrey Macklin’s article in the Globe and Mail</a> gives an absolutely spellbinding and riveting dissertation on the subject of habeas corpus provision within the Magna Carta.

In the final paragraph however, she surreptitiously slips in the notion that Justice Ross was exercising “wisdom” by knowingly “violating the treaty on prisoner transfer” between Canada and the United States.

Aside from violating treaties being at least either immoral, unethical or illegal, please someone correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t that, in essence, what Khadr did by feigning to surrender before attacking and killing one of his would-be captors and maiming another?

If indeed he did do that, then any other army would have shot him right there and then.

P.S. Joan; I think you nailed it.

The globe and mail can’t be trusted to report the facts concerning Khadr or any other terrorist activity. The globe and mail is a prime example of how most media works in that they hold back the truth and make up lies. When it comes to terrorism only the truth should be allowed in print or video instead of some idealist’s denial of it like saying Khadr was the victim of the justice system. Victims of crime much of the time are treated worse than the perpetrators in the system. This is the way crime has been treated in the justice system for a long time now decaying into this rot of allowing terrorists to get away with murder. This vicious muslim animal who murdered an innocent victim should never have been released. I’m not getting the fact that he was supplied lawyers to defend him. Why wasn’t he treated like anybody else who only gets one public defender, no even that would be too good for a war criminal. The only law that would excuse terrorism and say Khadr was mistreated is sharia law.

I say keep it in prison with no chance for parole and perhaps the death sentence which would send out a strong message and deter other terrorism from happening in the future. The message being sent out by the globe and mail, our justice system and government to other terrorists is, “Come on over to Canada and get on social assistance while you plan out your next attack. Don’t worry about it. You won’t have to serve much time and you might even get out sooner than you think because we’re also getting to be more sharia compliant.” Sick, twisted bastards, inviting terrorism into Canada by denying the truth.

The Media Party of Canada – they aim to please the left, and to hell with the rest of the country.
commented 2015-04-27 18:23:47 -0400
The Globe, the Star, CBC, CTV and so on, are nothing more than Left Wing Comic Books. They have to try to make Khadr look good, lest Trud 2 and Dullcare get upset. Traitors to their Country, the whole slimy lot of them.
commented 2015-04-27 18:06:44 -0400
It’s not the first time the leftist media has done this. Revisionism is the hallmark of the left who skew facts and lie to suit their agenda. I encourage everyone to share this video on FB or any social media. The word has got to get out!
commented 2015-04-27 17:20:22 -0400
Khadr should serve out his sentence, be released with stringent restrictive conditions, fail to win any civil suits, get a job and begin a life of responsibility making payments on his debt to his victims. If he wants to complete high school, he can attend night school. If he completes high school and has the grades to be accepted at a university, he should pay for every dime of the costs.

You see how dull, ordinary and hard that sounds? He’ll never do it. He hasn’t the good character required to succeed in a life of non-crime. I doubt he’ll finish high school. I bet he’ll last as a celebrity maybe a year or two then disappear into obscurity and either be found dead at his rooming house or show up on Interpol’s most wanted as last having been spotted in Pakistan.

Globe and Mail = Toronto Star = CBC = MSM socialist vomit. It’s all the same liberal hate spew.
Unibrow khadr should be put to death. It’s that simple.
commented 2015-04-27 16:31:42 -0400
“Mr. Khadr has been the victim of other peoples ideologies for far too long”. How twisted is that comment. The Globe and mail has been a crap rag, pushing the left agenda for at least a decade. No credibility any more, none. Good point about the chances of defending us from future terrorists with the likes of June Ross making rulings like this one.
commented 2015-04-27 16:18:55 -0400
From the lefty Liberal appointed judge in Alberta who let Khadr out, and the left leaning MSM, in this case the Globe and Mail, the socialists in Canada are raging. They have been losing control since the Liberals were kicked out of Ottawa and now are resorting to any tactic or propoganda they can muster to damage this country and restore their self entitled ambitions for power over us all. Shame on the Globe and Mail for publishing an opinion piece that they are trying to push off as fact in a grand deception.
