Another day, another case where left-wing bullies illegally censor pro-life Christians on campus.
Watch my video interview with Diane Zettel, a student at the University of Toronto at Mississauga:
It's so frustrating. It's so transparent. Whether it's the university administration, or as in this case, the student union itself, it's a full-out war against Christian participation in public life on university campuses. They're not even trying to hide it.
Well, fortunately for Diane Zettel and the other students at Students For Life, John Carpay, the public interest lawyer at the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms has joined the fight. He's suing on behalf of Diane and her club, demanding that they be treated the same way any other political or religious club at U of T is treated.
You can see a copy of John’s lawsuit below.
We know he'll win -- what these student union bullies did to Diane is plainly illegal. But what a shame that it will take an actual lawsuit -- and months or even years of litigation -- before they finally concede. By that time, Diane may well have graduated already.
But fighting this fights is so important. That's why we've teamed up with John, as we have so many times before, to ask our viewers to help chip in to cover this and other freedom cases -- freedom of expression, freedom of religion and freedom of association.
No other group on campus would be treated this way -- no pro-marijuana group, or a pro-gay group or a pro-feminist group, let alone any other religious group. Only pro-life students -- usually Christian -- get bullied.
That's the irony here; the real bigots are the student union bosses claiming to fight against bigotry.
Please sign our petition.
But since they've shown no willingness to do so yet, please consider chipping in to help defray the costs of John's public interest lawsuit. $100, $50 or even $10 helps.
